The game has a teaser for the DLC/Sequel after the credits, so it was kinda expected.

@ShogunRok @LifeGirl and do not that only the console version was "crap". Played the game on PC when it came out and it was pretty great. Granted it is even better now with 2.0

Good, waste of time and resources to try to turn this into a GAaS, I honestly hope most of them just outright fail.
Sucks for the devs that had to work on this though, specially if they were doing against their will, so to speak.

Netflix really going at it with these. I guess Castlevania was fun, and Arcane was really good, but most of the other animated series based on games that they released were a bit subpar. Hope these are good.

Kabukicho is the tamest it could be right now, basically a tourist attraction. This happened after the mayor decided to clean it up around 15 years ago.
Before that time, it was waaaay more fun.

@Angelus3K In a way yes. The story is like in Genshin Impact, where it is divided by chapters, you finish those and it finishes that swat of the story, but more are added afterwards with new patches.

Gacha part aside, it's a nice JRPG

It became one of my favourite games of all time. I had already sunk close to 90h on early access, I'm already finishing my second playthrough and will probably start a third one after.

Nice, that's quite beefy. It's still odd that they release DLC for this almost after 2 years of release. Was hoping they would show us the next Tales.

So this takes place after or during the game? Usually DLC during the main game feel a bit pointless to me, since we know how everything ends up.

@themightyant I couldn't put it better. I know that the aesthetics of the game and the gacha nature puts a lot of people off, but please check the soundtrack on youtube, it is fantastic.

Bought it the moment early access came out on PC. I love the old games and the Forgotten Realms. BG2 is my cozy game, where I play it every year during xmas holidays. BG3 quickly became on of my favorite games of all time.
I didn't buy the PS5 version but may double-dib if a physical version is ever released.

@nessisonett Hey mate, I'm curious. Why did you like the second one less? Usually it's the other way around and BG2 is a major improvement upon the first one in all aspects.

How widespread are these releases? It will probably only be a couple thousand copies no? And nothing in Europe.

Geoff already set expectations, this is going to be a really tame show, don't expect anything else besides what was already confirmed to be there.
That said, looking forward to more Black Myth, usually I'm skeptic of these games from China because so far not a single one delivered, but people got hands on a few days ago and it seems there will be a demo booth at Gamescon.

No physical version sucks. I'll probably wait until they release one, or just import the asian version.

I played the beta and it was fine... It's one of those that will probably only be popular in the asian market.

Yeah my interest in this game keeps waning and waning. It looked really nice 6 years ago, but now there are just more interesting things to play and they keep postponing the information, ***** that.

@Triumph741 I've played the early access and Divinity 2. In their case is quality and quantity.

It's funny how they changed the game to make you stay in it as long as possible (player engagement is wonderful for stakeholder calls, and the more time you spend in game higher the chance of you spending money at the store).
Even the damn teleport was raised from 3 seconds to 5

Really looking forward to this game, and the scene is funny, it was played like a joke (you even see a squirrel drop his nuts) but people are taking it out of proportion.

Don't get me wrong, I really liked the first Trails of Cold Steel, and I'm halfway through the second one, but how is it possible that these games still look like late PS2 early PS3 games? Geez

@Ravix Still a bit isometric but highly detailed and you can zoom on the characters. Also all interactions are animated, its not just walls of text anymore. Check a couple of trailers, you may like it.

@Ravix The first 2 BG games use what was called the Infinity engine, the games were isometric CPRGS that played in real time though you could pause them to give commands to your party.
This one is turn based, it's basically more Divinity Original Sin 3 than Baldur's Gate 3. The story will be largely unrelated to the first 2 games (since that story was over and this one is set more than 100 years after the second game). You may see some know faces (2 of your old party members will be in the game due to magic or being long lived races) and familiar places but that's about it.
The old games may be hard to play now mainly due to how they look, but I absolutely love them. If you're curious, try to play Divinity Original Sin 2 and you'll get the gist of how this game will play.

I didn't even know Yakuza had an english dub.
Must suck for the 5 guys that play in english.
