Ahead of its PS5 version launching tomorrow, the Trophy list for Red Dead Redemption has gone live, sharing what is an identical list to the PS4 edition.
Exophase has the complete list of 52 Trophies, which is mostly focused on the base game, with some Trophies for the Undead Nightmare expansion to go along with it. As this is the same list as the PS4 version, we can pull on the Trophy guides published for that edition to confirm we're looking at a very achievable Platinum Trophy on PS5.
PSN Profiles lists just one missable Trophy, which requires you to "complete 20 story missions without switching to a new horse at a hitching post". The advice is to never hitch your horse after earning one from the Bonnie mission, and never use horse deeds or let your horse die. There are certain situations involving this Trophy you'll want to be aware of, though, so check the site for all the details.

Anyone who owns the PS4 version of Red Dead Redemption gets a free upgrade, and the PS5 edition is also launching straight into PS Plus Extra tomorrow, 2nd December. It's not known yet if the PS5 version will also be folded into the GTA+ subscription service.
Will you try to earn the Red Dead Redemption PS5 Platinum Trophy? Let us know in the comments below.

I am no fan of the second game, I just didn’t really like anything about it in the end, but I loved the first game and I haven’t played it since I did it on PS3 so I definitely think I will pick this up to replay it.
Is this version digital-only?
I'm curious to see what differs with the native version over playing the PS4 version on a PS5.
Last time i played this was on xbox360 i think, so will be playing and platting the ps5 version after all these years.
Are these different to the original PS3 trophies then? I seem to remember not getting anywhere near the platinum back in the day
Ill download it via ps plus. Played this one on the xbox360. Would love a remake of Red Dead revolver.
@Gremio108 The PS3 trophy list included multiplayer trophies (like reaching max multiplayer rank) otherwise they're the same.
Hope to god they axe the awful multiplayer portion if and when RDR2 gets ported to current gen. That stuff should always be segregated and set apart from the core single player portion of the game so as not to ruin the trophy hunting experience for everyone with less than no interest in the MP.
I loved the online portion of RDR back on PS3. Very touchy challenge in some parts, just enough coordination and cooperation from online people needed, but it'll forever be one of my proudest 100% games (along with GTA IV) due to that horrendous poker trophy. Absolute nightmare to obtain.
@BearsEatBeets tbh I think it will be the exact same version 😅
@Gremio108 the online trophies are missing. So much easier in the end
I need to try to actually complete the game for once before I go for the Platinum. Now to decide whether to play it on PS5 Pro or Switch 2.
I also prefer this to the sequel. One of my favourite stories ever, I remember thinking it was a genuine masterpiece. I'll definitely get round to this at some point.
@Greifchen @Coversnail Right that makes sense. I barely touched the RDR multiplayer. Cheers folks
This release is pointless. Remake the game in RDR2 engine, but make it 60fps so the character doesn't control like a forklift with an electric RC car motor, like the abomination that was RDR2 and then we'll talk.
@Balaam_ "Trophies need to conform to my narrow skills set so I can somehow convince I'm great for flexing same" sure is a take.
@StitchJones - This is 60fps, as is the PS4 version.
@MrPeanutbutterz - Seriously not wrong, this game has zero online trophies but that isn't enough so he finds room to condemn a different game due to lack of personal effort.
@StitchJones If they remake the game people will just whine about constant remakes and that a port would be enough.
Also what do you want GTA VI or a remake of RDR? Its one or the other and when GTA VI is done i expect R* will be moving on to the big open world game of next gen.
@Balaam_ You must hate the Switch.
@DennisReynolds let them whine, I don't care. Do we have any stock purchased in peoples minds that is affected by whether they complain or not and it affects our investments? lol no.
At least a total remake made with the RDR2 engine, running at 60fps would be worth repackaging. That's all i'm saying. There's even a video Digital foundry made on how pointless this game re-release is. So many share this sentiment.
@Shigurui yes but not remade in the RDR2 engine. You didn't read what I had to say correctly.
@StitchJones What i'm saying is they port you get people moaning its not a remake and if they remake you get people moaning its not a port.
Yeah i'm shocked DF missed the obvious reasons why this exists. A big one is RDR is locked to 30fps on Switch and Xbox with Xbox only having access to the 360 version and two i have a strong feeling R* want to have native current gen versions of RDR, RDR2 and GTA IV out there and not PS4/X1 and 360 versions being the current versions. Anyway RDR is free for anyone who owns the PS4, Switch and 360 versions. The fact people are moaning over this shows how entitled and whiny gamers nowadays.
@LiamCroft Its included in GTA+:
These new console versions — created in collaboration with Double Eleven and Cast Iron Games — will also be available in the GTA+ Games Library and the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog on December 2.

Absolutely love/d this one, quite possibly more than the sequel. Haven’t played since the og release, thinking it’s about time to go back..
@MrPeanutbutterz it's wild to me that you consider mp trophies not being included in predominantly single player games a "take." To each their own though I guess.
@Balaam_ i am genuinely concerned about you. Trophies do not validate you as a person.
You seem obsessed, pls speak with somebody about it. It's very unhealthy.
