Forza Horizon 6 PS5

A pop-up screen in Forza Horizon 5 has confirmed the franchise's sixth entry, Forza Horizon 6, will release on 19th May 2026, or 15th May if you buy the Premium Edition.

This release date is for the Xbox Series X|S and PC versions, which Microsoft is putting out first. A PS5 edition follows afterwards at an unknown date, though the initial May 2026 launch means it could be out on PlayStation before the end of the year — there'll be plenty of time left in 2026 for Playground Games to get the port out.

Twitter user @XboxF10 captured the pop-up, which you can see in the tweet below:

Taking the series to Japan, the splashscreen also confirms the Premium Edition contains:

  • 4 days early access
  • VIP Membership
  • Welcome Pack
  • Car Pass
  • Time Attack Car Pack
  • Italion Passion Car Pack
  • 2 premium expansions

When the PS5 version comes out, expect this Premium Edition to be on offer alongside the base version. Microsoft made the original announcement of a PS5 version releasing later with the following wording:

Discover the breathtaking landscapes of Japan and become a racing Legend at the Horizon Festival in Forza Horizon 6, which will launch first on Xbox Series X|S consoles and PC in 2026, and PlayStation 5 post-launch.

Forza Horizon 6 is one of the headlining games for the Xbox Developer Direct on 22nd January 2026, so you can expect to learn much more about the racing title then. For now, it's out for Xbox and PC in May, meaning a PS5 version could potentially be out before the end of 2026. Other games in the Xbox livestream will be Fable and Beast of Reincarnation.
