Team Ninja has published the feedback gathered from the recent Nioh 3 demo on PS5, and its findings and takeaways based on the results. Overall, the demo received a 90.9% approval rating, and every other question the developer asked received a positive response.
For example, 62.7% of demo players thought the graphics in the Alpha Demo were good, 80.5% enjoyed the Samurai Style in combat, and the same can be said of the Ninja Style at 80.1%. The lowest positive rating went to a question about the difficulty of the experience, where 56% of players thought it was "just right". A third of participants agreed the demo was "difficult".

Based on the feedback it's received, Team Ninja plans to address the following things:
- Improve controls in response to high demand from players.
- Improve problem areas in control responsiveness.
- Make controls more customizable by adding options.
- Adjust gimmicks and enemies that were unreasonably difficult.
- Add and improve tutorial visibility.
- Adjust the performance and balance of various actions.
- Improve the overall quality of background graphics.
- Improve the visibility and balance of stages and the open field, and make exploration elements easier to understand and more well-balanced.
- Make notifications and other elements that appear on screen during combat less distracting, and make it possible to dismiss such notifications via button/key input.
- Improve the balance of progression elements.
- Improve the quality of multiplayer mode.
Other areas like "player action and controls", "Style Shift and Burst Break", enemies, level design, and the tutorial will also be improved between now and release. You can see the complete list of planned changes via the link.
"We will do our best to use these surveys to make adjustments and improvements so that all of our users will be able to enjoy the final release version of the game to the fullest," the developer said. Nioh 3 is planned for launch on PS5 and PC in early 2026, and it's sticking to a more open zone structure instead of going fully open world.

Huge fan of Nioh 1 & 2. I’m yet to play LoP which I’ve heard is amazing, so for me the Nioh games remain the elite souls-likes not made by From Soft. The announcement of 3 was a great surprise!
The alpha demo was excellent, the open world for the most part works well. Switching between the two fighting styles on the fly is a bit gimmicky (personally I'd rather stick to one style) but most of all I think the graphics engine, pretty much unchanged since the original Nioh, is looking tired.
I love Team Ninja gameplay, but god, every single enemy dropping tons of diablo-styled colored loot is /censored/. So tired of this crap.
Nioh 3 is going to a instant classic. All the niioh games are excellent. Word up son
@Silenos I like the style switching but i fear the " gimmick" will continue through the game, as in certain stances and abilities are better for this boss etc, thus extending the difficulty curve,in what will be no doubt a difficult game already
If they haven't changed the horrible loot system in all team ninja soulslikes, then this is a no go for me no matter the combat excellence.
Also, the complete lack of effort in updating the visual engine is getting to be less acceptable for this dev and what comes out of the Fromsoft camp.
The main problem is that the engine both looks tired, and performance is appalling in open world sections with fps drops and stutters.
Ive completed both Nioh, and Nioh 2 (including all DLC), but this will be getting a hard pass unless they sort it out. Sadly the demo made me lose interest in the game, not gain it.
They're always great on responding to feedback to their alphas and betas. Cannot wait for the full game
As a big veteran souls gamer, can not wait for Nioh 3 to be release on PC (packed with all DLC's of course)
Nioh 2 was (and still is) absolutely instant classic.
