After the January sale kept us occupied through a particularly quiet period for the PlayStation Store, Sony is back in action with another range of discounts to build off the lot offered last week. This latest set of deals appears to focus on PlayStation 4 remakes, remasters, and retro titles that have been re-released for the last-gen system, meaning you could pick up a bunch of games as part of a complete collection very cheaply. The sale will be available on the PS Store through until midnight on the 10th February 2021, and the deals themselves are live across Europe and the US as we speak. So, without further ado, let's take a look at what we've got this week.
Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled comes close to hitting its lowest ever digital price at £13.99/$15.99, Streets of Rage 4 drops to £13.99/$17.49, and the WipEout Omega Collection can be picked up for £11.09/$12.99. Then there's MediEvil for £12.49/$14.99, Spyro: Reignited Trilogy at £13.99/$15.99, and the Castlevania Anniversary Collection discounted to £3.99/$4.99. The Devil May Cry HD Collection is £12.49/$14.99, the beautiful Okami HD represents good value at £7.99/$9.99, and a triple pack of Resident Evil 4, Resident Evil 5, and Resident Evil 6 is only £15.99/$19.63. You could also pick up Valkyria Chronicles 4 alongside Valkyria Chronicles Remastered for just £17.99/$15.99. Two great deals!
As usual, the official store page for this sale isn't live at the time of writing so you'll need to manually search for any PS4 games you fancy right now. However, you can check out a full list of the latest deals over on PS Prices. There's a lot more to choose from. Is there a PS4 game you've been waiting on listed? Post your digital haul in the comments below.

I wonder if this sale will show up on the terrible PS5 store? No sale, no DLC, no demos, many missing PS4 games in new releases...
The whole PS5 store and UI needs a serious overhaul to make it useful.
Just bought the Castlevania Anniversary Collection
Katamari Reroll is the only game on my wishlist with a discount...when I'm finished with Resident Evil 2 I may grab it!
The PS5 store generally is terrible I agree. All I've been doing is adding games I'm interested in and then I just check it each week to see if anythings on sale.
For those who haven't got it or tried it do not miss out on Streets of Rage 4, awesome game and well worth £14 IMO. I would pay that for the soundtrack alone 😎
Very tempted by streets of Rage 4. Some great prices on there but I already own the others I would have been interested in
It's not retro, but worth mentioning that 11-11 Memories Retold is down 84% at £3.19!
@BaronSqwelch @Steel76 Isn't there a PS5 section on psprices? I don't have one yet, so I haven't bothered looking.
I think I bought the valkyrie chronicles remaster $5 at previous sales. Still waiting for river city girls and shantae & the 7 sirens sales, the games is good but it's expensive at $30 😅
Aww, is Tony Hawks not considered Retro yet?
@JapaneseSonic That would be awesome , if Sega could do that and Konami do TMNT (arcade version) I would be very happy!
@JapaneseSonic True mate, it was mentioned an a thread yesterday I think that Konami are sitting on a gold mine of IP, so many great games!
Simpsons is also amazing, I can still here the screams from Bart and Lisa when they did there hold hands attack together, you could here that sound across the arcade!
Streets of rage 4 🖤💖💚💛 👑.but i rather have the physical version.that box art is amazing.word up son
@katamariUK
I actually prefer the PS4 UI to the PS5. The system may be quick, but it’s just not as intuitive and swift to navigate.
I am also not too fond of the integrated store on PS5. At least on PS4, you know what you are getting when you click on the store icon. The store layout on PS4 is clear and well organised and it’s not like it takes that long to load, unlike the creaky PS3 store.
Hopefully as more PS5 games are released, there will better curation of the store content, as currently, both it and the web store are really not good at all.
@katamariUK Definitely. It's mind blowing that there isn't a specific Deals section in the PS5's Store since obviously Sony would prefer you bought games digitally from them. It's one of the major reasons why I still have my PS4 Pro hooked up.
People actually use the ps stores to browse sales instead of psprices.com? 🤣🤣
Just bought Gods Remastered. It was one of the first games I played as a child at my cousins' PC
Time to finally beat it!
@katamariUK Couldnt agree more. Its nice that it loads fast but its a complete shambles to find anything now.
@EricTheBrainless I tried the demo of Medievil and decided to skip it based on that. Looks cool but it's very clunky IMO. If the demo is still available, you might wanna try it first.
Gods Remastered for £3, yes please!
I recommend Crash Nitro Racing for everyone loving splitscreen gaming. It's a blast.
@PaperAlien Nice to see another fan
The retro & remasters theme of the sale appeals to me,but the lack of variety & range isn't. Just to rattle off a few examples of games I would have wishlisted again via PS Prices:
Cursed Castilla-last sale Sept.2018
Super Hydorah-last sale Sept. 2018
Shantae Risky’s Revenge-last sale Jan 2018
Shantae Pirates Curse-last sale June 2017!
Shantae Half Genie Hero-last sale July 2018
Shantae HGH Ult. Ed -last sale July 2018
Then there’s the indies yet to receive ANY psn sales:
River City Girls-launched Sept 2019
Xeno Crisis-launched Nov. 2019
Castle Crashers Remastered-Oct.2019
Battle Princess Madelyn-launched Nov 2019 EU/AU,Nov.2018 US Psn
Shantae Seven Sirens-Jan 2020 launch.
ALL of these games have had multiple discounts throughout the last several months on Eshop/Steam/GOG/XB, everywhere else bar PSN.
It has been mentioned by some indie devs the heavily curated nature of PSN sales mean they need an invite from Sony to participate. Yet sadly its leaving several titles,& smaller publishers & devs on the outer having gone literally years without a sale! 😔
@katamariUK @Vacuumator 100% agreed on the store UI, both on PS5 and the web it is a markedly worse experience than before. The mobile app is currently a slight improvement on what was before, mostly due to speed.
On PS5 many sections like deals, demos, etc. are no longer there and the filter option give far less granular control compared to PS4 this won't be good for discoverability long term.
For me one of the biggest frustrations is the lack of parity and consistency with each format. Mobile and web have a deals section whereas PS5 doesn't. PS5 has a wishlist function but the web and mobile app doesn't. The list goes on.
All in all - a very frustrating user experience... I say this as a user interface designer.
A fellow designer wrote an interesting article (pre-PS5) on why the PlayStation Store website redesign was the "biggest UX failure of 2020"
https://dev.to/rtivital/playstation-store-redesign-the-biggest-ux-failure-of-2020-4g97
@LiamCroft Is it just me or is this basically a rerun of the retro sale they ran on PS4 pre-xmas? Perhaps with marginally lower prices on a few titles
@themightyant Interesting read...these days even when there is a blog post about a PSN sale there's a flood of comments about the Store UI both on console & PC/App etc. It's rather surprising how tone deaf Sony has been on the subject to date.
Though I do recall after the comments about the new blog & weekly releases & a promise of "we hear you & we'll be back",we never heard a thing further! 😕 Agree its sad some games get multiple discounts every other month but if other devs aren't on the invite list we never see their game(s),get a sale!
Interested in SoR4, but $17 is still to high for a beat em up for me, no matter how cool it is.
@sentiententity I would have felt the same, especially as it's pretty short (couple of hours maybe).
But I got it via Game Pass and have since played it through 10+ times and will definitely be going back, there's just something about it. Not saying it's for you but had I known what I know now I would snap it up at that price. (I likely will once/if it leaves Game Pass)
FYI John Linneman of Digital Foundry made it his game of the year 2020, though he is a retro aficionado.
It seems they only do a sale section on the ps5 store, when there are native ps5 games on offer. Pretty stupid, Sony...
I really wish the Switch had as good sales as Playstation. The amount of times 've seen games o my Switch wish list on PS4 sale for £5-£10 is so annoying as I want to play them on Switch more - such as Celeste
Metro Redux is what I will buy. Looking forward to trying the series for the first time.
@Robocod 110% this.
They missed a big opportunity to discount psp, ps vita and ps3 games.
@Turbodream Sadly they seem to have (more or less),closed the legacy store...only if a game had been a Vita crossbuy will it link to its ps4 version. Given the games that have never made it across & unlikely to,(eg:Suikoden 1 & 2,Alundra,Blood Omen Legacy of Kain,Maximo 1 & 2,GTA LCS/VCS to name a few), on ps4/ps5 its a real shame.
Just confusing why Sony are curating their sales & limiting what indies can access them when their opposition are able to put the same titles I mentioned on multiple sales! There's only so many times I can see with Sims 4 dlc,or Raging Justice getting another discount whilst other games are going YEARS without a sale!
@Robocod It could be worse, just look at Nintendo.
I agree though it's annoying because I am also waiting for PS4 sales for these indie games.
What I often do is I buy them first on Steam then eventually double dip when the price is finally low enough on PS4 (I like my trophies).
@Robocod Agree, I already have river city girls on steam (it's super cheap there compared to psn, even at steam launch vs psn discount), I want to have it too on psn but there's no discount for the game although the game already released 2 years ago!
@wiiware Wayforward gave a rather cryptic reply on twitter to someone about "playstation sales being out of their hands at the present time",with someone asking about it....like a few other games I could think of,would've made a perfect match for the retro & remasters sale! 😕
