Too much hype. This is an extremely bad (if not devastating) marketing - people will curse them forever - if it's not the new Silent Hill.

I don't trust Sony anymore after they abandoned Vita. Steam Deck is what I would buy now. I had thought about getting the new OLED Switch before Valve announced its portable Steam machine, which leaves the Switch look awfully pity by specs.

Can the music or "level" be changed when playing local multiplayer matches? I played the beta-test and could not find out how to change that... it's a bit annoying that you have to listen to the same tune for each play.

Disc version looks a lot uglier, IMHO. As if designers just didn't know where to put the disc drive in the encasement. Hey, I'm by no means a fanboy but speaking of the design vs disc drive the XSX is a good example of how to get it all right. Such replacement would disappoint people who deliberately wanted the disc-less version, and I believe design was one of the main points for those people.
But yes - this is a first world problem.

There won't be much food available in post-apocalyptic times, especially if there is a war against the machines/aliens/whatever!.. Most women won't have chubby faces like Aloy is displayed here. It's unrealistic, IMHO.

I am massively disappointed that this game doesn't have a normal save system. That it's a roguelike is not an excuse in this case. Will not buy the game until this issue is resolved by devs.

@Boucho11 Yes, absolutely. I have the physical box of the Trilogy for Vita and played through them all. One of the AA titles on the system, I'd say. Graphics is very good and gameplay is too, despite being a linear 2D action/stealth platformer. China is the best of the three, India is rather good, Russia is on the weak side, but in general the collection is a must have for AC fans.

Why no mention of RE: Revelations 1&2... I mean - at all?.. Just why?

Alex Kidd in Miracle World (SMS) was one of my earliest games... I did not have a SMS but I went to my neighbor and we played hell out of that game!

Looks like a mix of DOOM 3, Dead Space, Alien and Mass Effect with an emphasis on DOOM 3. Pretty nice.

If Sony doesn't provide an emulator (and I would happily pay for it!), then I will jailbreak my Vita and install RetroArch. Sad but it's a simple solution. If Sony doesn't want to provide a way to legally buy games for legacy systems, then I don't care about legality of such actions because Sony will make me do this.

Is there a way to re-download a purchased game on the Vita without going to the PS Vita Store, searching for that game and clicking on the Download button on the game's page? I'm afraid that if they shut down the Store, we won't be able to re-download any games at all.
Will we also lose access to PS+ games on the Vita? The console checks periodically when you try to launch a game that the game is still eligible for download (your PS+ subscription has not expired). I'm wondering, what will be with these games?..

I'm playing AC Syndicate, thus I HAVE TO play it on my PS4.
I don't have a PS5, because we don't have PS5s in stock, only the double priced units sold by scalpers. But even if I did... how could I play that great AC game on it?
I will buy an Xbox instead soon, despite being unsupported in my country. The PS5 can wait... and moreover, it has no games I am interested in at the moment.

AC Syndicate is still broken on the PS5.

@thefourfoldroot It's not fully BC. I could not play Assassin's Creed Syndicate on the PS5. For me, that's a show stopper.

Yes, the PS5 looks like an unfinished and very rushed product. Will wait a year till I buy it, hopefully all the critical bugs will be fixed by then.

Do people really use monitors to play games on consoles? What is the point in that? I thought that one of the biggest points of console gaming is sitting / lying on your comfortable couch two to three meters from the big screen.

Current tendency to simplify the colors, depth and shape of everything is a very controversial decision. They call it 'modern look', but that doesn't mean it's likeable for all people.
I appreciate that they made the PS5 the way it looks (in contrary to the XSX, which looks very strict = "modern", but kinda boring), but the controller buttons and the PS logo should have had the iconic coloring.

And again we hear "in the future". M.2 slot will be enabled in the future, storing PS5 games on external HDD will be in the future.
The more details we hear, the more PS5 seems like a very rushed, if not unfinished, product.

How about inserting a PS3 disc into the tray just to check what happens?

I bought a PS2 slim in 2010, if I recall correctly... I had already had an X360 by that time. But there were no Fatal Frame and Forbidden Siren on the Xbox.
That PS2 slim is connected to my TV and hopefully it will work at least a few years more. Recently I bought a PS2-to-HDMI adapter just in case my next TV wouldn't have any analog component inputs.

Most likely we here in Ukraine will not face any PS5's stock unavailability because there are very few people who can actually afford such a pricey toy.
I can afford one, but I am nowhere in a hurry. Will most likely buy the console after the Holiday season ends.

I have been using Plex every day for at least two years. I have several terabytes full of 1080p movies lying on my NAS. I don’t know how it would be possible to organize all that without Plex. It’s THE best tool to stream content on your local home network.
I’m happy it will be on PS5 at launch 😉

Console launch during pandemic is not an excuse for lack of communication and lack of information about what exactly they are launching.

Speaking about wishlists, the wishlist on the web PS Store has always been "just for the record". For instance, when you buy a game which is present on your wishlist, it does not get removed from the wishlist. Such feature has been present on Steam right from the start.

So sad. Sony is forcing us to download pirated PS1...PS3 images and play them using emulators on PC.
And I still have my modded PS2 slim working, so I will continue to download pirated images, burn them on DVD+R media and play them on the console!

Man, it's huge. I don't have space for it on my shelf. I will have to dismantle the lamp above the place my consoles are standing...

It looks good but, frankly, the PS4 could run it too without sacrificing much. It doesn't look 'next-gen'.
