2021 promises to be a big year for Assassin's Creed Valhalla. The open world adventure is getting a bunch of free content updates spread throughout the next 12 months, alongside two "massive" expansions, set to release in the spring and summer, respectively.
So what's next for Eivor's saga? Well, we know that we're getting the anticipated 'River Raids' update at some point in February, but it sounds like at least one lesser patch will arrive before that. The official Assassin's Creed Twitter account writes: "We'll have further updates on incoming fixes soon!"
The tweet references the game's 'known issues' list, which was updated earlier today. It's a forum post where the development team makes note of problems that it's aware of, and provides information on when players can expect them to be fixed. It's certainly worth a read if you've been running into any bugs or technical issues.
In any case, it shouldn't be long until we hear more about Valhalla's next update. The same is probably true of the title's aforementioned 'River Raids' — replayable battles that we don't really know much about right now.

Cyperpunk patch coming soon!
Welp, my issue isn't on the list. I'll check after update but not holding my breath for now.
I took a break from this game over Christmas and I’m considering if it’s worth going back. I’ve never (EVER) felt that way about an AC game before.
All the individual components are fine but it’s just so drawn out and repetitive. There are some things a patch just can’t fix.
Cool I am currently playing this game and really enjoying it so far.
Damn pig mystery in Cent won't let me get the last collectible needed for 100% completion but will keep trying so I hope they patch this, currently reinstalling the game to see if it may fix the problem.
About 40 hrs in and I can definitely understand the repetitiveness criticism. However this is the first assassins creed game where I've actually wanted to follow the plight of the main character (female Eivor). She reminds me of S1-3 Ragnar Lothbrok from vikings. A bit unpredictable but generally a good person (besides the pillaging). I feel like all other AC protags that I've played as are way too blank to actually be interesting.
@fR_eeBritney
Agreed... just seemed sooo drawn out to me
I’ve put in around 30 hours and have actually got pretty bored with it. Most of the abilities are boring, the skills tree is a convoluted nightmare to navigate, and the game just gets repetitive.
91 hrs and finished the main quests and then some. Great game.
Already Moved to Cyberpunk 2077, but glad they updating for when the DLC hits.
@Nightcrawler71 Have you met Ivar the Boneless yet?
Over 90 hours and still have loads to do!Love the game but can definitely understand people getting tired of it and moving on.I can't see myself getting the Platinum on this one unlike the last two games in the series but I'm definitely not bored of it yet.
Well, 'the good men of Sherwood' side quest bug isn't on the list.
The NPC who triggers this mission was killed by some random wolves and he remains dead even after restarts etc. I have every trophy except the 100% completion because of a 15 second side quest that is glitched.
There are about a dozen posts relating to this bug on UbiSoft's forums, but it seems I am robbed of my platinum after all that effort, gutted!
My problem is the actual audio quality. It's horrible. Sounds like a 128kbps mp3 from the 90s. Ruins the immersion for me. And googling it shows a lot of players saying the same thing. Someone actually extracted the audio and found its saved as 24,000hz and averaging 70kbps peak. What's up with that?
And also I have encountered a ton of bugs and glitches. Playing on ps5.
Like others here, I am enjoying it, but man it just doesn't end! The world really is impressive, and the 60fps on PS5 is fantastic, but I do miss the tight, compact cities of the earlier AC games. And the combat feels broken at times, hopefully they'll sort that out.
At the end of the game and haven’t experienced one single bug. Also the game isnt repetitive. Best one yet. Beside odyssey
Took a break from Valhalla to play Immortals which I am enjoying a lot more. Cracking and underrated in my opinion!
It's time for an update. It's really frustrating, that it takes them so long to address almost game breaking bugs (the quiver bug is really annoying). It's my first AC ever and I'm enjoying it, but come on Ubisoft!
Also, I find the game a little unbalanced. You can easily raid Lvl 160 places with just lvl 90 Eivor, but a lvl 90 Mini-Boss will eat you for breakfast, even if you are lvl 160. Sure, a little challenge is nice, but come on, even with my strongest weapons, I almost deal no damage to some bosses, even being on a much higher level...
The game is dicounted on psn but I don't want to buy it until I know 100% I'll get ps5 this month.
@DM666 I just started Immortals and so far I like it a lot. Definitely does some things better than Valhalla, including combat.
Are they seriously not addressing the fact that every time you load a save you character starts drunk?!
I have the ps5 plat. And I don't see any reason to go back to this game.
Maybe if the dlc is like 5 euros in sales 3 years from now.
I still can't do the lunden mission where the key is on the bench but isn't. N those kids are talking sh1te to some guy over n over
Was playing and really enjoying it but decided to put it down until they fix some of the issues and in-game mechanics that are meant to be there but aren't.. ie arrow crafting or lack of
AC Syndicate is still broken on the PS5.
@TBubs311 Yeah, but pillaging wasn't seen as a bad thing from the Vikings' perspective. It was a necessity.
@Icey664 since the festival is over my Eivor is sober
@mazzel
Nice rhyme 😂
I really enjoyed it, loved female Eivor , her voice was great, got the platinum with no issues.
I actually enjoy this AC alot. Compared to Odyssey (which is also very good imho), Valhalla's quest structure appeals to me much more given that it's much more focused. The levelling is also much less grindy which is another plus. I hope the patches sort out the remaining issues now.
@Icey664 I won every Flyting battle so far 🤟
So they aren't planning on fixing the pig bug? It's really annoying not being to complete this 😬
@skaarj217 it's not compatible
