@SilkySmile89 Some of Blu-ray players can read CDs, at least audio. My LG Blu-ray player plays any Audio CD flawlessly, that's how I play my CD collection via an AV receiver using an HDMI connection.

I got the Alpine Green and it is my favorite one. I would also choose Sunset Orange, Berry Blue, 20th Anniversary Limited Edition, 500 Million Limited Edition and Crystal Blue - are some of these still being manufactured and sold today?

Backwards compatibility for me. I want to know if I can play PS1, PS2, PS3, PS4 games on it. I know that I will be able to play PS4 games, but this just isn't enough for me. I have never had a PS3, I want to play many PS3 exclusives which have not been ported to PS4.

I'm playing the very first God of War on my PS2 right now.

By the way, the real design of the PS5 is thousand times better than any of the fan-made concepts. It can clearly be seen that the PS5 is a work of professional designers in symbiosis with technical experts. IMHO.

I fell in love the very first moment I saw it during the presentation. Yes, I'm a bit concerned about the size of the console but I'm pretty certain that it's the price for cooling and being quiet. Speaking about the new Xbox, the form factor is reasonable - it is smaller than PS5, but it is really a "box" (read: thicker than PS5), and it has a fan on its top. Oh and I think that Xbox looks cool, but the PS5 looks way more interesting because... you know... that sci-fi look.
I am getting both consoles eventually, but the first one will be PS5. Maybe even at launch, have not decided yet...

@rjejr by "PC" was always meant to be platform / architecture plus hardware combination, which can be translated as "a personal computer (desktop or laptop) (but not a Mac) with a modern OS (Windows, Linux)". It is obvious that it doesn't include old PCs running DOS. Steam, Uplay, Origin etc., however, are launchers / game library organizers, not platforms.

All of these Sony's delays and postponings only suggest that Sony is doing poorly, especially against the background of competitors.

But there is nothing we can do but wait for Sony to pack its *****. I'm disappointed, but I've just started playing Assassin's Creed Syndicate and it will take a lot of time so I don't care.

If Sony cancelled the PS5 at all, people would just buy an Xbox and continue playing games.

Maybe the PS5 is coming to the US only, and the rest of the world is out of luck?

At least SW: BF2 has a single-player campaign. I would be really disappointed if they gave us a multiplayer-only game.

EA will be releasing Command & Conquer Remastered Collection for PC (Steam+Origin). Sadly, no word of PS4 version. But this confirms that they work on remasters.

The graphics look definitely better than a regular PS2 game. But a PS3 can handle it, I have no doubt!

7 out of 8. I thought it was Origins the game which allowed to choose the protagonist. I haven't played any AC since Unity.

Just finished Lara Croft GO main campaign on the Vita. The bonus levels are too hard, so I'm taking a break with it.
Finished playing Heretic: Shadow of the Serpent Riders (the whole game, all five episodes) on Steam. Started playing Hexen, oh it's an awesome game! Vastly more complex than Doom/Heretic.
I plan also another try to play Saw on the X360. It is good too, it's like a simplified The Evil Within but with the distinctive riddles of the Saw franchise.
Nothing on PS4 right now, besides Puyo Puyo Tetris several times a week with my girlfriend.
Tomorrow arrives my retail copy of Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice for the PS4. Will try it a bit, but I'm going to play it later.

Just a small reminder - while we are waiting for the next Silent Hill, we can play the very first one on the Vita. Still available on the PS Store.

@AhmadSumadi It depends on the plastic the console will be made from. Not all plastic is changing its color from white to yellow with time.

This looks NOT like the 'leaked prototype' drawings. This looks better. Very sci-fi'ish, I'd say. But still I like the Dualshock 4 more. We need to feel it with our hands to appreciate ergonomics.

Ellie's leg on bottom left screenshot looks weird. Unnatural. I mean her thigh, look at it. It's curved. It's cheap modelling.

Even if the memory/disk would not be a bottleneck anymore, we still would have to wait for all that stuff (achievements, trophies etc.) to load from the Internet. The connection to your ISP and further to Sony servers would still be the same as it is right now.

Steam has remastered version of Fahrenheit with widescreen and FullHD resolution. PS4 has the PS2 version emulated. I wonder which one will be this physical release.

I'm already happy with my PS4 Gold Wireless Headset (the "new" one), but there's lack of games that support proper 3D audio. I can name only one with awesome 3D audio - Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice. It's a shame that the studio behind it is owned by Microsoft now, which means that the second game will be for Xbox/PC only...

They were real, but due to the presentation being a pre-recorded one, those people might have been Sony staff.

@Constable_What You can play some of PS3 games on PC today via emulator.

All I care about is full backward compatibility. In terms of pure power, it's obvious that the PS5 will be a powerful machine - it doesn't matter whether it beats XSX or not by raw numbers. The custom SSD will be there too. I can't think of anything more I wished for. But BC is THE most important aspect for me, especially the legacy systems (PS1, PS2, PS3). There ARE many PS3 exclusives which have not been ported to PS4. And I would be the happiest person if I could play Silent Hill 2 and Fatal Frame on PS5.

All I know about Fortnite is that it is another multiplayer game... Something like Team Fortress or Counter Strike? MMO? Warframe, something?.. There are billions of it. I don't know and I'm not interested at all.
The "biggest" game in the world for ME is The Last of Us... probably. Or maybe it's Silent Hill.

The new controller looks a little thicker than DS4. A little more XBox-y (look at the picture and imagine it without all the buttons, thumbsticks etc - just the bare case). And, frankly, that's good.

That is a nice idea. I think all companies should begin using more colours (again), as in past times. I'm not a fan of the last years trend to minimise the usage of colours in logos etc. (think PS logo, Windows logo...)

Who plays multiplayer today, anyway?
