@Dogbreath highly possible, like I said I could be wrong about my prediction. I just disagree with people stating opinion (informed or otherwise) as fact in an effort to promote their own agenda and will continue to call people out for it.
@Dogbreath you just listen to whom you want to listen to to reinforce your own world-view, there has been just as many leakers tout that Sony are pulling out all the stops to provide an affordable PS6.
I could obviously be wrong but Iām guessing the discless PS6 will release at Ā£700.00. With the money that Sony make through their storefront it would be a very strange move to proceed the vast majority of its user base out of the market.
And before you say it, yes that would be below the current PS5 Pro price⦠and yes I can see how some people are unable to read between the lines of how that would be possible (a more powerful PS6 releasing at a price under the less powerful PS5 Pro). But the PS6 will be a mass-market device, with the inherent cost benefits of mass purchasing power of components. PS5 Pro was always a niche product. Small component ordering, small market expectations.
edit. And Iām not disagreeing that game-streaming will eventually replace gaming hardware (just refer to my comment to Gemini a few comments up from my response to you) just that you were being intentionally disingenuous by stating Ā£1000 for a PS6 as if it was a fact to support your own narrative.
@Dogbreath oh so youāve announced the rrp for a PS6 via an online comments section. Strange that Sony would change strategy to allow a PC enthusiast that frequents a PlayStation website to announce such a major announcement like that š¤
@Th3solution you remember right mate, I havenāt played Lies of P yet⦠and am fully prepared for it to blow my doors off š¤. About LotF (2023)⦠Iād actually rate the Nioh games above it in terms of actual gameplay (I havenāt played 3 yet neither). LotF (2023) is the closest thing theres been to a From Soft souls game not made by From though. Honestly, they just nailed the assignment. It is a bit easy though if you get me š
I wonāt play it at release, as I have a shed-load of souls-likes backed-up. Iāll buy it at release though, to reward the devās for their last game.
@CaptD Iāve already played the other versions multiple times mate, I aināt in any rush. Iāve always been more tantric than two jerks and a squirt if you get me (in my own mind anyway š).
Iāve been saving the Part 1 remake and the Part 2 remaster in the hope that there will eventually be a III. If (& when) it releases, Iāll play all three in fairly close proximity to each other (maybe a month or so apart to keep things feeling fresh)⦠canāt wait!
@11001100110zero well as I say, while I didnāt enjoy it as much as I hoped Iāll still play the others if they come. I did have fun in co-op on whatever the hardest difficulty was.
@ChopperCampbell yeah I will mate⦠and in fairness, I did enjoy the co-op playthrough of Gears more than my solo run, so it wasnāt all bad. The mp grind for the platinum nearly killed me though š
Gears of War was the one Xbox franchise I felt Iād like, so I played through Reloaded in January and wasnāt that impressed tbh. In fairness, although it had a nice lick of paint it is essentially a 20 year old game , so I will give any subsequent Gears games that release on PlayStation a go⦠with lower expectations this time though.
I managed to finish of the Devil May Cry 2 plat last night, which Iām happy about, as I have a few meaty games lined up for April and need every extra bit of time I can find to get them done. Will either make a start on World War Z: Aftermath or Test Drive Unlimited: Solar Crown. I wonāt have a lot of spare time this weekend but Iāll hopefully get a bit done on one of these at least.
Iāll also be returning to Gears of War: Reloaded tonight for one night only, to help a couple of guys out with TDM map wins and weapon kills. It will then be finally uninstalled.
Right, third rescan⦠NTE: Neverness to Everness and only because it shows it in the small print under related games lol. NTE simply sounds like some slop-shop developer lol, get it together!
Make a start on my Dante playthrough on Devil May Cry 2 and ideally get pretty far through it as I want the plat done and dusted before April and thereās a lot to do. So far Iām not finding it the travesty that most people seem to think though, as I actually thought the Lucia playthrough was alright. Happy weekend yāall!
@RoomWithaMoose well, as always weāll have to agree to disagree. My personal take is it got double-glazed by bots pre-release, then it released mid, then anyone who isnāt overly-invested in Microsoft laughed, the end.
@RoomWithaMoose Conversely, declaring it Game of the Generation before anyone had even played it was a stupid fanboy declaration? š¤·āāļø works both ways, only the declaration actually started it
@Questionable_Duck @trev666 I think the āhateā comes down to a certain minority of gamers aligned to a shade of green rather than blue shouting from the rooftops for anyone thatād listen, about it being Game of the Generation⦠then when it actually released it was around a 7/10. If theyād just kept their powder dry on the gushing, this hate you speak of wouldāve been far less of a thing.
Got back on Hellpoint last night after spending the last couple of weeks getting back on schedule with Mafia 2 and finally finishing off the Resident Evil: Revelations plat⦠and enjoyed my evening with it.
Gonna try and get as much of that done before starting Devil May Cry 2 next week. If I can finish off the plats on both by the start of April, Iāll be getting back on track after taking a month or so off.
@glennthefrog well if that is the case (and I think that youāre probably right) why anyone would want to buy what is essentially an arse-covering exercise is beyond me, when you can just swap over to PC for real, or stay in the console environment with PlayStation. No one wants a half-arsed effort⦠the same thing happened when people booted up their Xbox ROG Ally S/Xās for the first time and realised that theyād been sold a lie.
@TrollOfWar I suppose⦠itās just that the product is likely to be so niche (due to the price, the fact that it is essentially a pre-built PC and not a console, their games being available everywhere⦠and just the negative perception that the vast majority of gamers have of the brand now), that it just doesnāt seem worth all the investment for 5-10 million extra windows users (many of which probably already use windows).
Admittedly being 100% armchair CEO here but I just donāt see how this works for them (Microsoft)⦠the fact that theyāve clearly got extremely educated people making these decisions means that Iām missing something right?
I was actually over Bethesda games for a while⦠and that was more to do with Obsidians Outer Worlds more than anything else (+ finishing off the dregs of the Fallout 4 plat). But then the Fallout show started and I wanted back in and played through Fallout: New Vegas again and fell back in love with it.
I think allowing a third party dev team to pitch what is essentially an indie prequel to a massive first party stalwart is a fine idea. I havenāt played it yet but unfortunately it does seem like the execution is generally perceived to be a little under the baseline of what would be expected from the series though. Doesnāt mean that Sony shouldnāt be open to pitches from Mega Cat (or any other indie/AA dev studio) for existing ip in the future though.
@Gemin53 so, not stalking you for a start⦠I just happen to read Pure Xbox as well as Push Square. Which I was doing when I noticed these latest allegations š¤£. So if youāre gonna use that platform to moan about your interactions over here (particularly when it was directly after an interaction that I had just had with you, that involved none of what you alleged) unlike you, im not gonna turn tail and run to another platform to moan in a comfortable space⦠Iām gonna respond. Also, I donāt believe Iāve expressed any rage at all in all honesty. Quite informative that youād jump to those conclusions though š¤ā¦ I think that you really need to get over yourself tbh.
