Re: Even with PS5 Ports, Many of Xbox's Games Have Been Underperfoming

@MrStark spoken like someone who was 100% sure Phil knew what he was doing too… until it became obvious that he didn’t. It amazes me people are so damn sure about things so quickly, just because it supports their inner-narrative.

Asha may turn out to be a positive for Xbox, she may not… I’ll take a bit more than 100 days before I decide either way.

Nice to see the level of wilful ignorance from ā€˜certain’ quarters remains in tact. It’s so ridiculous that it should be surprising… but it’s not. For the ā€œthat’s why they’re making console exclusives againā€ brigade… their games are failing to sell EVERYWHERE not just on PlayStation you donuts!

Re: Fascinating PS5 Sales Estimates Peg Ghost of Yotei as a Triumph

psmr

The discord around Yotei both in terms of DEI and it having poor sales unfortunately cast a shadow over what is an incredible game. Best game I’ve played this year by a country mile and I was left bemused by the fact that it didn’t at least earn a nom for GotY last year.

Re: PS5's God of War Laufey Dominated Summer Game Fest

@get2sammyb I get that but I was expecting Wolverine to pop with the casual masses more I guess… in the same way that the Spider-man games sell gangbusters. I’m sure it will sell well though albeit during an unbelievably stacked September. Thought it looked great tbh.

Re: Reaction: Some PS5 Fans Think SGF Showed Sony Losing Its Grip on Third-Parties

psmr

@NerdyPaul you say that as if I implied other companies should… I didn’t. But the headline referred specifically to Sony losing its apparent grip and therefore my post was directed at that. Essentially I agree with you that no console maker should have a grip on third party devs/publishers… but if you couldn’t tell that from my original post I’d argue that you have difficulties reading between the lines 🤚

Started Mass Effect 3 yesterday, so probably a bit more of that. Having originally played (& loved) 1 & 2 on 360… my 360 RROD’d by the time 3 released and although I bought it on PS3, I never played more than a few hours for some reason. Well I’ll finally get to see how it all plays out… for better, or worse. I’m enjoying it so far though, more than I enjoyed playing the remasters of the first two too.

Dragon Age 2 - now I remember being really excited for this back in 2011… and then playing most of it wondering what the hell were BioWare thinking. It’ll be interesting to return to it all these years later with far lower expectations. Also, Origins will be far more fresher in the mind this time around having replayed it just last year, so my own comparisons will be more fair this time.

Double XP weekend on World War Z: Aftermath so back on that to grind out the last few weapons and just the Fed Ex Cup left to do on PGA Tour Golf: Road to the Masters.

I also went back to Homefront: The Revolution during the week and… although it is an absolute jank-fest, I have been jonesing to play a little more I can’t lie.

Happy bank holiday wknd folks!
