A 2026 release window has been attached to Lords of the Fallen 2 since the game's initial reveal last year, but now, we may have been handed something a little more precise.
The action RPG is apparently targeting an August launch. That's according to the game's lead systems designer, who, on his own website, stated that the title is "expected to release in August".
This little nugget of information has since been removed, but not before it was screenshotted by eagle-eyed fans on Reddit.
To be clear, these kinds of 'leaks' aren't always accurate. It could just be that the developer made an honest mistake, or that the leaked release window itself is out of date. Indeed, internal targets can — and normally will — fluctuate depending on the ups and downs of development timelines.

In any case, August seems like a decent month for Lords of the Fallen 2, although it probably doesn't want to get too close to Phantom Blade Zero, which is set for the 9th September. As of right now, though, August's schedule is fairly empty.
As for the game itself, there's a healthy degree of anticipation surrounding it. Lords of the Fallen — which has been leaked as part of this month's PS Plus Essential lineup, by the way — started out a bit rough, but developer Hexworks made some impressive improvements through post-launch support.
The hope is that much of the studio's experience will carry through to Lords of the Fallen 2, which, to be fair, has looked pretty damn good in all of its trailers so far.
