Re: Reaction: Some PS5 Fans Think SGF Showed Sony Losing Its Grip on Third-Parties

@NerdyPaul you say that as if I implied other companies should… I didn’t. But the headline referred specifically to Sony losing its apparent grip and therefore my post was directed at that. Essentially I agree with you that no console maker should have a grip on third party devs/publishers… but if you couldn’t tell that from my original post I’d argue that you have difficulties reading between the lines 🤚

Started Mass Effect 3 yesterday, so probably a bit more of that. Having originally played (& loved) 1 & 2 on 360… my 360 RROD’d by the time 3 released and although I bought it on PS3, I never played more than a few hours for some reason. Well I’ll finally get to see how it all plays out… for better, or worse. I’m enjoying it so far though, more than I enjoyed playing the remasters of the first two too.

Dragon Age 2 - now I remember being really excited for this back in 2011… and then playing most of it wondering what the hell were BioWare thinking. It’ll be interesting to return to it all these years later with far lower expectations. Also, Origins will be far more fresher in the mind this time around having replayed it just last year, so my own comparisons will be more fair this time.

Double XP weekend on World War Z: Aftermath so back on that to grind out the last few weapons and just the Fed Ex Cup left to do on PGA Tour Golf: Road to the Masters.

I also went back to Homefront: The Revolution during the week and… although it is an absolute jank-fest, I have been jonesing to play a little more I can’t lie.

Happy bank holiday wknd folks!

Still ticking over on PGA Tour Golf: Road to the Masters (currently leading the Masters going into the 3rd round), the more I play it, the more it separates itself from the 2K games.

Not sure what else right now though, I’ve kinda cleared the deck a bit this week having finished off a few plats (Final Fantasy 2, Test Drive Unlimited: Solar Crown & Ghost of Yotei), so I could go back and begin the mop-up on a few games I started and moved on from like Homefront: The Revolution and World War Z: Aftermath or start something new (well new to me 😅) like Metro 2033 and Bioshock. I’m kinda leaning towards the latter atm.

Re: How Rockstar Squeezed a Whole City into Your PS2

I was early 20’s when GTA 3 released and while I already had a PS2… I’d kinda lost total interest in gaming. A guy in work… not really a friend, barely an acquaintance who I’d never seen an ounce of emotion out of prior to that day could not shut up about GTA 3! Something in his crazed fervour must’ve spoke to me as before I knew it I was taking a detour to Virgin Megastore instead of going straight to the train station to get off home… I couldn’t be more glad that I did.

Hoping to make a start on Final Fantasy 2 this weekend. I was real pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed the original when I played it last year, so hopefully the sequel hits in much the same way.

Apart from that, maybe a tournament or two on PGA Tour: Road to the Masters. A real solid golf game and it’s completely hooked me!
