@Stocksy yeah itās both a really good game and a great addition to the ip too. Iād happily play through the whole thing again if they ever remastered it.
Yesterday was my last day in work until 5 May, so wanted something to sink my teeth into⦠so maybe Starfield? I was also looking for something that would put my Pro through its paces though too, as I havenāt played anything that was pro-enhanced yet⦠so I seriously considered finally trying Cyberpunk 2077 š¤. I do love a big bombastic 1st party Sony blockbuster for a week off though, so ultimately settled on Ghost of Yotei. Most excited Iāve been about starting up a new game in a while.
Iāll be getting it regardless of review score! I just enjoy open-world games based in the criminal underworld. Massive fan of the Mad Max game that most of the dev team here worked on too.
Iāve already enjoyed the āinfluencerāsā change of perspective on the importance of exclusivity. As always, they simply take their cue from Microsoftās ever-shifting policy and then bang that drum. I actually have more fun seeing through their disingenuous posturing than I did playing Microsoftās games š
Just checked my backlog and I actually have the original but know next to nothing about it. Will no doubt pick up the sequel at some point⦠and then proceed to forget all about that too š
I almost always like his performances but having watched a fair few Alannah Pearce podcasts when Troy was a recurring guest (until they fell out), I wasnāt really a fan of his. I can appreciate a man (or woman) who takes their art seriously⦠but thereās a difference between that and being pretentious. Personally I found Troy regularly seemed the latter.
I do love an open-world game, so while Iāve never been tempted by any of the previous anime-styled f2p games released⦠Iām seriously interested in this one.
On the final leg of World War Z: Aftermath and Test Drive Unlimited: Solar Crown now (though both have long final legs if fairness). Good games the both of them⦠and I even enjoyed the pvp on the former, which is unusual for me.
I remember watching an Xboxera episode where specialnick had the temerity to suggest that Fable āmayā get delayed until 2027⦠Jesse got so angry he kicked him from the show! Xbox influencers/content creators are so funny without ever meaning to be š¤£
More World War Z: Aftermath and Test Drive Unlimited: Solar Crown. With a bit of luck⦠and elite cat-herding, we might get the PvP trophies squared away today, though Iām not holding my breath tbh š . Have a great wknd peeps!
@TrollOfWar how about anything PlayStation related? Which is what weāve already got with this article⦠but you seemed to take umbridge at in the first place š¤£
@TrollOfWar them too but they werenāt part of this particular discussion⦠the third-party aspect seemed pivotal to our particular back-and-forth. Well that⦠and Iām sure youād have absolutely no issue with Push Square publishing articles about disgruntled Sony devs, so didnāt think it was worth bringing up.
@TrollOfWar so what, itād be just like if the head of Dice left his position due to the mismanagement of EA and then explained his reasons during an interview. That would get an article, as they make games for PlayStation⦠so why not this? š¤·āāļø
I havenāt played this yet⦠but have heard that this is the souls-like fansā souls-like, so Iām real hyped to eventually get to it. Sad to hear that a team of such talent has gone the way of the dodo š„²
@Fiendish-Beaver fair enough, Iāll play it one day and itāll be interesting to see where I lay with a score for it. Iām guessing itāll be around 7/7.5ish.
@Fiendish-Beaver I can se your logic⦠but from everything Iāve seen and read, the 83 on Metacritic and 85 on Open Critic are considered significant over scores. To offer the other side of the spectrum, itās rated as 6/10 and 58% on steam and steamdb. 7/10 seems pretty fair considering.
It took a while for the Uncharted games to properly land with me for some reason but after around 16 years and three playthroughs of 1 and 2 and two playthroughs of 3⦠Iām now a really big fan. Looking forward to playing 4, LL and LoTC (& an eventual 5 one day š¤) once Iāve got the platinum on 3.
Some more Test Drive Unlimited: Solar Crown and World War Z: Aftermath hopefully. The latter is more my bag but after getting over the initial shock of how shoddy TDU: SC looked, Iām actually enjoying that quite a bit too. Had an absolute nightmare trying to get in the same server with @CaptD yesterday though, to finish off the last FRIM (free ride instant money) action (slipstream). For a constantly online game, built around social racing it has possibly the worst multiplayer implementation yet seen. We eventually managed it through sheer bloody-mindedness though š .
@D6rkLordS6t6n @Hypoman ā We suppose the most important thing here is the inclusion of Performance Mode from day one; the game was locked at 30fps when it deployed on Xbox, although a faster frame rate option was patched in later. Here itāll be available from the jump.ā
@Th3solution damn dude⦠Iād be panicking already not gonna lie š. I know it can be a little intimidating booting one up for the first time in a while but I guarantee you that within 5 minutes of booting Dark Souls 3 for the first time, youāll be glad that you did. The fact that youāve had a full year off from souls-likes will probably help you appreciate it even more I reckon. Anyway, I canāt wait to hear all about it.
@Th3solution I do have it, and have heard really good things about it too⦠**** knows when Iāll actually get to it though š . This year Iāve played Hellpoint and have Lies of P lined up for the second half of the year. Next year Iāll be playing Thymesia and Black Myth: Wukong.
And thatās not to mention Stranger of Paradise, Wo Long, Mortal Shell, Wuchang, Enotria, Steel Rising⦠not to mention a few souls-lites like Stellar Blade and Blades of Fire. I really need to up my souls-likes to 3 per year but where Iām gonna find the time I do not know.

@CaptD thatās disappointing about the PSVR2 delay for flight sim. Maybe it is finally time to dust off Cyberpunk from the backlog as @EfYI said
