From thinking it was vapourware a few months back to now, this has risen right up my most wanted list!

Never played the demo… but a big fan of the first two games. I have an ever growing backlog of souls-likes but Nioh 3 will have a big asterisk placed next to it!

I see shooter in the headline and always click in the hope it’ll be third person… but very rarely is 🤬

I’m thinking Saros gameplay, Wolverine cinematic (though I think they should be showing gameplay at this point) and maybe a Venom one more thing… and Intergalactic at the game awards.

Not massively into multiplayer and never found the extraction sub-genre very appealing… but there is something about this that interests me. I’ll definitely wait for the reviews but I could see this being something I end up playing at some point.

Remake Metal Gear & Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake as full 3D games and remaster Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance.

Gonna co-op up and try and get the Hardcore trophy on Aliens: Fireteam Elite… and maybe try and work out if I can change my first Lords of the Fallen run to going for the Adyr ending instead of the Umbral ending without messing any side activities up 🤷‍♂️

@dancingstar93 while I appreciate the response, my point is that I don’t really care what they’re views are/aren’t. Whether the internet has blown things out of proportion or not… I’m not gonna just throw the baby out with the bath water due to peoples opinions.

I grew up as someone and remain to this day, a person that will happily enjoy a beer with someone that has opposing views to my own (as long as they’re not just an absolute wilful idiot… they can **** right off and waste someone else’s time)… sadly the ‘kids’ today want to burn anyone at the stake who isn’t part of their own respective echo-chamber.

So I don’t know what the lead actors from Yotei and Intergalactic have specifically said to annoy so many people but even if it was something that is diametrically opposed to my own views (it probably is I’d imagine), I wouldn’t let it impact whether I wanted to play a game or not.

If I were to abstain from consuming art due to the artists involved having different political/religious/cultural/moralistic views, well… I’d be very bored.

That would be awesome, I only got into Yakuza a few years back and tend to leave a wide berth between each one I play (I played Kiwami in 2022 and Kiwami 2 in 2024), so if Kiwami 3 is a thing, I’ll probably hold out to play that when it releases rather than play 3 on the collection.

@TrollOfWar I had an Evercade a couple of Christmases back, still boxed and on my shelf. I wanted it more for a collectors piece than anything but glad that you’re enjoying it. I did buy every cartridge for the first 18 months but have slacked off this past year or so. Will have to have a look at what has released in the mean time and whether it’s worth filling out my shelf with them.

Mopping up the last few missions on Saints Row: The Third and maybe a bit of Raid co-op on Resident Evil: Revelations if schedules align.

@UltimateOtaku91 I’d be very surprised if it was a souls-like… it might borrow the odd element but I’d imagine accessibility will be at the front of their minds. I remember Neil making comments about how impressed and influenced he was by Elden Ring but by that I think he was referring to the open world and non-linearity of it.

@wilky2988 trophy hunter here, I just had a Quick Look through the trophy list and didn’t see a trophy attached to max level… do you know which trophy it is that’s affected?

A surprisingly decent game this, wasn’t expecting a great deal from it but it was real solid in pretty much every aspect. Good laugh in co-op too

I’ve kinda been over the scrolls-like for a while but I did enjoy my replay of New Vegas last year and Arthurian myth is a personal fave, so I might well end up giving this ago eventually.

I’ve never played them but having watched a fair bit of gameplay, it definitely wouldn’t be for me anyway. inFAMOUS please… electrified inFAMOUS.

Even though it’s insomniac, I’m hoping the combat is more God of War reboot than Spider-man… freeflow combat is so boring!

I absolutely loved the first look at this a couple of State of Plays back. Keeping my eye firmly on this one.

Much to my pleasant surprise, the reports of this from Gamescom were very positive. I’m pretty excited for this not gonna lie.

I do find this negativity targeted at Sony first party sequels a little strange this gen not gonna lie. I mean, yes the sequels to Horizon Zero Dawn, God of War (2018) and Spider-man have been somewhat iterative as you say… but sequels have always kinda been that way for the most part. Are there outliers to that? Of course (normally due to a generational leap or two… but we’re way deep into diminishing returns in terms of one generation to the next at this point) but generally if you look back at some of the great series (from Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo… as well as third party) sequels will often just fine-tune what had come before.

Been fascinated by this since its first reveal a few years back… and I just feel more and more sure it’s gonna be a banger with every subsequent outing. Morbidly stunning!

Although Streets of Rage 2 was my favourite game at the time, whenever I think back to those halcyon Megadrive days that saw me through pretty much my whole Comprehensive School years… it’s The Revenge of Shinobi that stands out the most. I’m looking forward to this!

I already own everyone of them other than Mortal Kombat 1… and that’s the way it’ll stay.

Finished off my first run on RE: Revelations yesterday and thought it was just a real solid survival horror fair play. Another playthrough on Infernal difficulty now… and then an absolute boat-load of co-op in the Raid mode. As someone who generally prefers the more solitary gaming endeavours out there, I’m actually quite looking forward to some jolly co-op with this one.

Thank the lord, us single-player fogies have China, Korea and Japan meeting our needs!

GTAVI will be one of the rare games I’d have to play at release… and I have a backlog that would see me through to retirement anyway, so I’m in no rush. Just get it right.

Absolutely no rush… and that’s from someone who is very excited for this.

I’ve had the original trilogy for ages but haven’t found the time to play them. I will play at least the first one before I play the sequel… it’ll be a minute though, fair play
