@StitchJones yeah don’t get me wrong, I’m well aware that it hasn’t even got a release date yet… but the less people working on it, the more burned-out those that are left will get. It can only be a negative unfortunately.

Damn, The Division 3 is one of my most anticipated games… and there’s no way this isn’t gonna have a negative effect on it 😡

The first one was alright I suppose… probably my least favourite souls-like but I’ve never played a souls-like that I didn’t enjoy… so theres that. The sequel looks better in fairness.

One of my mates just plat’d it prior to the server closure and he said that he had a good time with it. I’m kinda gutted I didn’t take the plunge on it now… 🤔

Continuing (& hopefully finishing) our co-op run of Gears of War: Reloaded on Insane. Not quite as good as I was expecting… but I’ve quite enjoyed it nonetheless.

I’ve played through XIII and XIII-2 (for the first time) this last couple of years and really enjoyed them. Scheduled to play Lightning Returns later this year to finish out the set.

@Questionable_Duck yup, I wasn’t stating that the majority of the negativity was from fanboys, as I stated this was more prevalent than pure fanboyism. The than indicates that I consider it separate.

And while there hasn’t been a glut here on this article, maybe it’s due to my preemptive comment, as there sure as **** has been a glut of comments spinning this as a win for Xbox on similar such articles.

@Questionable_Duck I think you’re missing my initial point. I was commenting on. PlayStation dedicated site that I was posting before Xbox-aligned fans try to spin this as some sort of win. Not that I only see PlayStation fans on push square and Xbox fans on pure Xbox. Probably not worth me bothering to explain though as people perceive what they want to see, not reality.

In all honesty, while there are clearly fans on either site, I tend to see more negativity towards PlayStation on Push Square and the same towards on Xbox on Pure Xbox than pure fanboyism (though there is that too no doubt).

Even if my backlog wasn’t decades-deep, I probably still wouldn’t play a demo. Lost count of the amount of games I’ve played which didn’t give a great first impression… but I went onto absolutely love. In all of those cases, I probably wouldn’t have persevered if I hadn’t actually made the purchase.

@Flurpsel I wanted that platinum unfortunately mate, so I had to put up with it. Got there in the end but it was very ropey at times and had to rebuild the PS3 database at least a couple of times.

@themcnoisy I’m certainly intrigued. If only my games room were bigger, I could have a section of the room with all 3 (there are 3 right)? I always dreamt of my own arcade… and that would be close-ish.

Good news, as I was weighing up replaying 3 on PS3… which was never the best experience. Replayed New Vegas in ‘24 and while I loved it just as much, if not more than when it originally released… it damn near killed my PS3!

Hmm, some nice additions there… particularly Sigourney, Isaacs, Paterson, Joseph and Imrie.

Play 35 games, pop 35 plats… of which they’ll be a mix of PS3, PS4 & PS5 (even a few PS2 ports), vast majority will be backlog stuff. Most importantly, keep it varied, keep it fresh and have fun.

Hmmm… 20 hrs time-to-plat. 🤔 We might be getting somewhere @Quintumply… don’t know where yet but it feels like progress 😉

@NieR_Dark yeah I don’t think it’ll spoil your enjoyment by playing them out of order. Nioh 2 will be a nice game to keep in the backlog for when you feel like it anyway. Brilliant game!

@NieR_Dark yeah Nioh 2 is’nt a ‘direct’ sequel to the original… I think it takes place a few hundred years before it actually. There is connective tissue though… but I won’t spoil it 😉

After 4 months of trials and tribulations Resident Evil: Revelations Raid mode is done! So I don’t have to play (I say play… more like submit myself to torture) or think about that anymore. 😅

Started Gears of War: Reloaded yesterday, which will be my first of at least 4 Xbox Studios games this year to celebrate their 25th anniversary. So I’ll hopefully be able to get a bit more progression done on my first playthrough.

The good news is, that it isn’t Resident Evil: Revelations, the bad… the mp on this might take even longer!

@themightyant is it so hard to believe that some people may like Yotei more? I believed that Pure Xbox’s Ben Kerry liked South of Midnight more than Expedition 33… and I’d argue that the majority of gamers prefer GoY over SoM.

It just seems that Push Square opinions (from both staff and punters) are instantly resigned to fanboyism, while there is just as much evidence of this behaviour (if not more) on the other side of the divide.
