Microsoft has said Project Helix, its next-gen Xbox system, will "lead in performance", and it seems any potential buyers looking to gain access to that power will have to pay a hefty price.
In a breakdown of the potential specs for the next Xbox console, which runs both Xbox and PC games, YouTuber insider Moore's Law Is Dead shares that the components could total anything between $900 and $1,500.
The insider states that while Sony is going for a "more PS4-like approach" as it designs the PS6, Microsoft is "building a bridge out of the console market, and so they’ll probably charge $1,000 or more for this thing". It's said the current price of RAM is impacting the price of the system, and so too is a graphics card Microsoft plans to use that succeeds the AMD 9070 XT.
This new graphics card could be priced between $550 and $650, according to the YouTuber, and this will demand more RAM. Every component is driving the price up.
