@GigaGaia They actually as a company have probably set themselves modest sales figures I would guess!

If anything their worst case scenario would be if they sell less than the xbox one. If it's similar they'll call it a successful launch, watch and see.

Its just frustrating from a retail perspective at this stage to have no confirmed release date for either machines.

@UnlimitedSevens As you said it's not the normal run of things and the rrp of the ps5 will also have to take into account the current increased cost that the retailers are facing during a very difficult time. Not forgetting manufacturing, shipping, transport, distribution and pr/advertising which are all facing problems and ever increasing costs.

In the real world it's got nothing to do with what Microsoft are selling the xbox at as their going through the same problems with coming up with a final rrp.

If Sony was planning to increase their usual shipping forecasts in September from the likes of asia to the rest of the world. That would be ample time from a distribution perspective for a release in the middle of November to the end of November. Just saying the rumours are probably spot on!
