Well, this has certainly been a long time coming. From Bedrooms to Billions: The PlayStation Revolution, a documentary all about Sony's impact on the games industry, is very nearly here. We reported on it four years ago, when it was looking for Kickstarter funding, and now the two-hour film is due for digital and physical release on 7th September 2020.

In the meantime, we can watch this brand new trailer. It certainly looks like it'll be worth a watch; it features interviews with the likes of Jim Ryan, Phil Harrison, Mark Cerny, Hideo Kojima, Shinji Mikami, and lots of other key industry figures. It'll cover things such as PlayStation's early steps and how the brand has grown into the juggernaut it is today.

If you're at all interested in PlayStation's history -- and if you're reading Push Square, why wouldn't you be -- then this seems like essential viewing. The Special Edition even comes with extra features, covering topics like Net Yaroze, the making of WipEout and Gran Turismo, and more.
