And at the time of preorder there was significantly less info than there is now, but yet Sony was expecting fans to buy regardless (the UI looks stunning, why didn't they show this before preorder) I'm a paying customer and entitled to feel how I like... the fact that I do criticise Sony should show I'm not blindly loyal, and without negative feedback, companies don't change. It's not hurting you directly so please respect everyone else's opinions rather than just attack those that differ from yours .Let's leave it at that eh?

@Ggmate it's more than these little bits... removal of wishlist, no official information of the console (the teardown in Japanese, with little / no fanfare) - the reason it has so many views is that people are clamouring for information on a product they've paid £450+ for!
The price hike of 1st party games (vs 'free' on M$), the price hike of PS+, the reduction of games with PS+, poor PS NOW value, no news on if there's a new PS Now, does PS5 even support Atmos? We don't know... it's the arrogance that people are upset about... for all M$'s faults, they're at least being more 'honest and open' this time around... and even though they're going down the Netflix subscription model... for the average gamer and newcomer it's a vastly better value-for-money proposition... don't get me wrong, my PS5 is preordered, and I've even got the headphones, charger, media remote control and camera(!) I'm all-in with PS5, but I feel like I've been cheated and completely undervalued / ignored by Sony this time around... and that will sting for a while and make myself and others think twice next time around...

Honestly, Push Square needs to remove Control and NBA2K21 - these aren't 'FREE' upgrades at all, they have to be purchased if you already own the original... these are higher priced SKUs and therefore NOT free upgrades... come on Push Square... sort it out!

All unsupported or forgotten, all eventually abandoned, and to hell with customers who supported and bought into these.. The PS exclusive price hike, the lack of allowing payable upgrade, the lack of any meaningful console information, the preorder shambles, the poor PS Now offering, the price hike for PS+ whilst reducing amount of games And giving games that are already on PS Now.. All of this adds up to not giving a fig about your customer... It's like MS and Sony are reversing roles for the next gen..
Sony is fast becoming the anti - consumer company it was during the PS3 era.. They're damaging their brand so badly at the moment, and destroying all the goodwill created from the PS4 era.. a) Game Pass is AWESOME - fact. It's cheap, it's updated WEEKLY and regularly contains brand new releases (Hotshot Racing for example - available day one, 2 Point Hospital, etc. and not to mention all MS Studio games, Forza, etc. etc. - amazing value)
b) Sony are definitely going for the "cinematic AAA exclusives" to sell its new console - that's a good thing! "Ghosts", "Death", "Last 2", "SPIDEY" for goodness' sake - utterly amazing experiences.. it's what "next gen" gaming is all about. Unforgettable gaming.
c) PS5 launch has been a disaster - terrible comms, taking customers for granted, just expecting them to pre-order, expecting them to search in blogs, sites, etc to get info on pre-orders, not showing UI, not showing value for money, not showing PS Now variant, etc.etc. - it's really poor and I think will damage PS5 a lot
d) I've just pre-ordered a PS5 and all accessories (there goes 700 squid) and I've no doubt in a year or two I'll get XBSX - but I think MS have already won next gen.. more coherent, MUCH better value, just as good specs, and first-party games coming in the next year or so that will in effect be FREE with Game Pass... unless PS stop sitting on their hands (or take their hands away from their ears / eyes whilst shouting "I'm not listening, la la la") they simply can't compete next gen.. Hiking up the prices of games like Demon's Souls to £70/80? Utterly ridic. And this is coming from a 'fan'... :/
... so what about PS Now subscribers? Many of these games are already on Now.. will it be merged? Will PS Now get more games to replace these? What value has PS Now got? Who knows? Sony isn't telling us... honestly... it's feeling more and more like the PS3 release all over again... after getting it right this gen.. they've completely dropped the ball for the next gen - completely reverted to taking its consumers for granted and messing them around (pre-orders? what pre-orders?)...

... Oddly enough I'm totally cool with this... Spidey was one of their biggest selling games EVER... to completely ignore the PS4 base would have been criminal... similar with Horizon... and you never harness the full power of a new console at launch... it'll take 2021/22 until we get some AMAZING next gen titles... choice is good!

It was clinical and cold with none of the usual PS humour. When can we preorder? Nope, they couldn't even be bothered to tell us that. Really really underwhelmed.
.. Bought it.. Love it.. Played it all weekend.. Peeves me that it's free on game pass day one.. Whilst PS Now languishes so far behind.. Honestly they need to step it up for PS5, or they're going to lose, especially now EA Pass is now free on XB, and PS owners are going to be charged MORE for it.. It's all about value for money, and PS is losing its value fast.. still preordering on Wednesday after announcement.. But it sticks in the craw a lot how much we're being ripped off...
... It looks "fun", but combat simplicity concerns me, it looks like just a handful of moves per weapon, which is likely to get old fast.. Definitely waiting for reviews first, but it's on my radar at least..

Hiking up the prices of games like Demon's Souls to £70/80? Utterly ridic. And this is coming from a 'fan'... :/

... so what about PS Now subscribers? Many of these games are already on Now.. will it be merged? Will PS Now get more games to replace these? What value has PS Now got? Who knows? Sony isn't telling us... honestly... it's feeling more and more like the PS3 release all over again... after getting it right this gen.. they've completely dropped the ball for the next gen - completely reverted to taking its consumers for granted and messing them around (pre-orders? what pre-orders?)...

... half of the fun is the new UI... I'm happy not to know. As long as they make recording and sharing games MUCH easier than PS4 (and better quality / editing features would be very nice)

... Oddly enough I'm totally cool with this... Spidey was one of their biggest selling games EVER... to completely ignore the PS4 base would have been criminal... similar with Horizon... and you never harness the full power of a new console at launch... it'll take 2021/22 until we get some AMAZING next gen titles... choice is good!

it feels exactly like the PS3 launch... and we know how that went.. Sony have already lost this coming generation... resting on its laurels, taking advantage of its customers and providing poor value for money... simply not aggressive or imaginative enough.

Oh well... bring on next next gen! (maybe we'll start hitting 60FPS / 4K as standard then...)

.. Bought it.. Love it.. Played it all weekend.. Peeves me that it's free on game pass day one.. Whilst PS Now languishes so far behind.. Honestly they need to step it up for PS5, or they're going to lose, especially now EA Pass is now free on XB, and PS owners are going to be charged MORE for it.. It's all about value for money, and PS is losing its value fast.. still preordering on Wednesday after announcement.. But it sticks in the craw a lot how much we're being ripped off...

... It looks "fun", but combat simplicity concerns me, it looks like just a handful of moves per weapon, which is likely to get old fast.. Definitely waiting for reviews first, but it's on my radar at least..

... It's pointless, unwanted, and a complete waste of resources.. Unless Bluepoint are going to handle it, then all remakes should be off the table.. In fact they should be outlawed. Period.

... I still have my original Asian import of DS on PS3.. I can't play it anymore, but it's a reminder of a gaming experience I'll never forget.. Running across the ramparts with that effing dragon.. Wearing that hat.. That lift.. The dread of what's coming next.. And of course, those ruddy skeletons! Amazing stuff. Finally a game worthy of a remaster...
