Re: Gamescom 2017: DOOM, Skyrim Dated for PlayStation VR

I definitely think (like Codemasters did) - that a £10-£20 sub to owners of Skyrim SE should come into play... £50? not a chance... and let's be fair, it's going to look like the Switch version (i.e. fairly poor) in VR... one of reasons of buying SE edition was for the 4K graphics and 'definitive' experience...

@get2sammyb thanks for the info - would be good to have that kind of info in the review! (especially as you mentioned screen tearing, etc.)

...quick question - is the resolution on PS4Pro higher than 1080p? or is it 1080/60FPS?

(again this could be one reason why XB1X might start to fare better on cross-platform games - they've announced this to be 4K on their system...I do fear PS4 could get left behind...)

Starblood Arena bought last night after trying the demo (released just in the nick of time!) and 100ft Robot Golf bought after seeing the free Kaiju update coming in a couple of weeks! I'm seriously contemplating Elite Dangerous (and playing it on the VR headset as it's locked to 1080p anyway)

...I remember getting it day one (it was a release title after all) and it was pretty good - graphics weren't... but... since the Pro patch and the steady stream of updates, it's just got better and better... I'm not sure what I think about non-VR players - I suspect it'll be easier to play without VR (head tracking for missiles, etc.) - so I'm hoping the balance will be there... either way, a great example of a game constantly being supported (and improved).. well worthy of a purchase!
