Re: Round Up: Silent Hill F Previews Rave About Upcoming PS5 Horror

@PuppetMaster "But force to scavengin just for the sake of searching the same weapons because my current ones will be broken after landed a couple of hits is just stupid"

Your opinion isn't making sense here to me other than it's "wasting your time" which can also be said for games like Resident Evil. Once again you have to do this as well for every survival horror game, you lose ammo, you gotta search for ammo because you wasted ammo just like melee weapons with durability. Games with melee weapons can also lead to good rewards, like was stated in some of the previews there are upgrades to your character, toolkits to save your main melee weapon and there will more than likely be stronger melee weapons to find.

@PuppetMaster I love weapon durability in games so this is right up my alley. Also SH4 had weapon durability for a very specific weapon among a variety of other melee weapons that didn't. Although I thought it would follow in the footsteps of Downpour where you search for multiple weapons and stockpile them. Don't really understand the complaint though, it's a survival horror game and it also works the same way any game with guns and ammo would.

@Nyne11Tyme It's censorship, a dong, breast hanging out or even kid being shot shouldn't justify censorship when games like Cyberpunk, TLOU2, Witcher 3, Outlast Trials, and even MGS V are able to get away with it with no issue. This is a game where you see the horrors police deal with, it's not for the faint of heart.

@Oram77 It genuinely needed more basic sword attack combos. Could have added a couple, maybe 3 pause combos to help with variety. Also yeah while the sidequests are boring, they're good enough on the first playthrough since they add to the worldbuilding and character development of some of the side characters.

@IronCrow86 What an ignorant comment from someone who clearly hasn't played Sekiro or Bloodborne. Sekiro is innovates with the player needing to deflect and parry in order to damage an enemy's posture and has more verticality in movement. Bloodborne removes defensive options such as shields in favor of aggression with its rally mechanic by having you attack in order to gain back your health. It also has trick weapons and that transform into a different weapon. To say Fromsoft hasn't innovated is a blatant lie.

@Frmknst I love the game, but I cannot agree with it having the best combat ever because it is extremely basic. The combat just doesn't leave any room for you to do anything interesting. The stances are just there to exploit the enemy's weakness and that's it. No increased speed, no better evasion, no extended range, there's just nothing to the stances that actually changes the combat in a meaningful way.
