Sucker Punch Would 'Love' an inFAMOUS Trilogy on PS5 1

Sucker Punch wants to bring updated versions of the inFAMOUS franchise to PS5.

In an interview with Game Informer about its upcoming exclusive Ghost of Yotei, creative director Nate Fox admitted that he wants to see the Seattle studio’s back catalogue brought forward to Sony’s new-gen console.

He said:

“I would love to work on more inFAMOUS. I would love to see a trilogy re-release, but Sucker Punch is a one game at a time shop, and right now we are very focused on finishing Ghost of Yotei.”

inFAMOUS: Second Son and its standalone expansion inFAMOUS: First Light can be played on the PS5 through backwards compatibility, but PS3 games inFAMOUS and inFAMOUS 2 can only be played using PS Plus Premium cloud streaming.

Fans have been hopeful for years that Sony will find a way to make Cole MacGrath’s electrified adventures playable natively on the PS5, but the platform holder’s yet to make any real progress. It did release Sucker Punch’s previous Sly Cooper trilogy through its PS2 emulator, however.

We understand Fox’s comment about his team being focused on Ghost of Yotei, but it’d be nice if Sony could hire another team to help with these conversions.

Heck, it has both Bluepoint and Nixxes under its umbrella, and while the latter is extremely busy porting first-party titles to PC and Xbox, it’d be nice if it could find the time to make these classics playable on modern PlayStation hardware.
