@chatbot Ofc they are forced because the new trend to follow is live service games. It's the same reason back then when practically every single developer was making a stupid ass battle royale, because of money.
@cainhurst94 I wouldn't go that far, RGG games can look pretty nice and especially Kiwami 2 with the city at night, but yes you're right about the innovation since even in the Judgement series it's still just more of Yakuza but with a different story and when they do try something different it's mostly tacked on. Like the "parkour" and "detective" mechanics.
@YoureTooSlowBro My guy just because a game has zombies doesn't mean it is the main point of the game. You have to be pretty dense to think Onimusha or Dragon's Dogma are a zombie game. Especially Dragon's Dogma where you're fighting a variety of enemies from goblins, griffins, dragons, giants, harpies, etc. Also who cares if they do have zombies? You don't like it, play Street Fighter 6,Monster Hunter, or Pragmata.
@TheKramer89 That game disappointed me greatly tbh. No countering, every enemy has hyper armor for some reason, and the agent abilities killed the flow of combat. Just felt super half baked which is a shame because the ending is so emotional.
@TheArt I sort of get the argument because we don't have a lot of time and especially with how busy one can get. They could miss out on a lot of other experiences because they have spent so much time on one game. I'm not against long experiences(I loved P5 and P5R), but I understand the argument towards them.
I mean I don't really care if they want to make it sexy, that's fine in my book. Problem here is the designs just look like they came from one of those ***** mobile game ads like Raid Shadow Legends. They aren't original or have much of an interesting design to them.
@Scottyy Shooting enemies in this game feels fantastic if it isn't Insanity mode. Insanity mode just turns them into bullet sponges and mostly strips away a main mechanic.
@Jaz007 Nah you lost me with this one. U4 was amazing and especially with how they made combat and some of the levels more open compared to the first three games. The set pieces were fun with driving the jeep around and jumping from one truck to the next as you're getting dragged trying to grapple to them. Only issues I had with the game was the pacing and the Nadine fights where they're just an interactive cutscene to show Nathan losing instead of ACTUALLY fighting her.
@Cry_Zero If you drop your standards that low then I guess? Problem with the DMC animation is that it changes and butchers original characters such as treating Dante like a massive push over who is somehow getting ***** on by Lady who's a potty mouth. Then you have the show trying to send it's incredibly out of place political message with demons being helpless refugees and America being evil invaders. Keep your needless political injections out of DMC.
I was hoping the graphics would be a lot better, but it at least doesn't look like XV1's and 2's where every character looks like they have baby oil all over them.
@TheArt The controls aren't exactly great in Metro games, especially in Exodus where it feels like you're on zero gravity with sprinting and jumping which makes for a really awkward and floaty experience moving around. There's also the issue with slow turning(Maxed out sensitivity btw) and feeling like it has input delay the last time I played. If they can fix those issues there will be no complaints from me about controls.
Hopefully they pull it off, honestly really surprising that Vaatividya of all people didn't get to be involved with either Bloodborne or the Elden Ring movie.
@Balaam_ It's something Hunt Showdown has done during the launch of their 1896 update and it got so much backlash to the point where they had to make a dedicated UI feedback tab in their discord because of it. I knew it looked bad from the beginning because it looked very similar to modern COD's UI design of copying Netflix and Hulu.
@twitchtvpat So why not include the disc drive with the console instead of making us pay an additional $80? It's greediness and them slowly moving away from physical games. Also when have disc drives that don't have disc trays anymore normally broken?

Re: Crimson Desert (PS5) - One of the Most Frustratingly Brilliant Games I've Ever Played
Idk if I'll pick this up any time soon, especially with the story being mediocre as hell.
Re: Sony to Show Latest State of Play in Theatres for First Time Since 2018
I was thinking why tf would you want to see a state of play at a movie theater but then I remembered that we had E3 events for that reason.

Re: Until Dawn Dev Still Going with Dark Pictures Series, Next Entry Teased
I cannot enjoy these games when their facial animations and acting are awful. How have they still not improved the facial animations after 5 games?

Re: Dead Rising Franchise Still Alive as Capcom Considers Sequels, Remakes
@YoureTooSlowBro You do know Pragmata and Dragon's Dogma 2 came out with Onimusha coming out this year right?
Re: Konami Successfully Revives Silent Hill with Strong Sales for 2 Remake, F
Both games were amazing and hopefully Konami understands the care the series deserves after these two games.
Re: PS5 Fighter Marvel Tokon Has a 10-Hour Single Player Story, But It's a Comic with No Gameplay
Not surprising knowing ArcSys but come on...
Re: With Stellar Blade 2's Reveal Near, Real-Life Eve Returned to Dev Shift Up
Stellar Blade 2 is gonna be so good if they've taken all of the criticisms about the story and characters.
Re: Poll: Is Saros Better Than Returnal?
I've been hearing Saros is worse with less variety in biomes and builds tbh.
Re: Physical Game Fans, Beware: Digital Downloads Hit an Astonishing 85% on PS5, PS4 Last Quarter
I only ever buy digital if that's the only option or if the game mp only.
Re: Stranger Than Heaven Is a Yakuza Series Origin Story, Out on PS5 This Winter

Re: Yakuza Dev's Stranger Than Heaven Drops English Dub Option Due to Bilingual Characters
@Frmknst That's really stupid lol
Re: Stranger Than Heaven Is a Yakuza Series Origin Story, Out on PS5 This Winter
I'm liking the look of this a hell of a lot more than anything after Y6 with the exception of the Judgement series.

So excited for this one
Re: Sony's Lost Soul Aside Was Rough at Launch, But Another Impressive PS5 Patch Is Out Now
I've been really meaning to buy this one, but I'm broke :/
Re: Poll: Are You Sold on Assassin's Creed: Black Flag's PS5 Remake?
I like the look of it, but every single recent AC game has had an issue where the parkour is not fluid and has a slight pause every second.

Re: PS5 Live Service Fairgames Reportedly Roasted in Recent Pre-Alpha
@Wardenknight133 "Also genuinely why do we need another extraction shooter?"
The same reason battle royales were everywhere, because it's the new popular trend and that means dollar signs.
Re: Zenless Zone Zero's Next PS5 Update Adds New Characters and Teases Major Mechanics
@Deadlyblack Yeah the multiple launchers suck so I understand that lol
Re: PS5 Live Service Fairgames Reportedly Roasted in Recent Pre-Alpha
@nessisonett Aint that the truth lol
Re: Zenless Zone Zero's Next PS5 Update Adds New Characters and Teases Major Mechanics
@Deadlyblack ZZZ wasnt on pc? I thought it was on there a long time ago

Skiiip. Don't need to see one of my favorite franchises butchered by Adi Shankar
Re: Akira Toriyama Worked on PS5's Dragon Ball XenoVerse 3 Before His Passing

Re: More Cronos: The New Dawn Content Incoming, Teaser Suggests
@Oram77 It just doesn't really seem to do much different, especially gameplay wise which is why I'm not particularly interested in it right now.
Re: PS5's Fairgames Is a Free-to-Play Extraction Shooter, and It's Not Dead Yet
@DennisReynolds Gotta give em credit, it's free at least, but that's about all I can give lol

@PuppetMaster These people think the audience 100% trustworthy and couldn't be wrong when that is far from the truth.
Re: Sony Announces High-End Gaming Monitor for the Uber Sweats
I know the headphones above are cheaper, but nothing will make me switch from my A50 gen 5's. That new monitor is tempting though.
Re: Bloodborne Is Officially Returning in Major Animated Movie, and a Big YouTube Personality Is Involved
@Tyrii Just let it stay as a single game. Not everything needs a sequel.

Re: Pragmata (PS5) - Brilliant Combat Is the Star of Yet Another Capcom PS5 Hit
@Rodimusprime13 it's $60
Re: Pragmata (PS5) - Brilliant Combat Is the Star of Yet Another Capcom PS5 Hit
So excited for this game, Capcom always knows how to make a game replayable.

Re: Unseen Miquella Scene Unearthed in Elden Ring Datamine Years After Release
Fromsoft probably has the most interesting pieces of cut content in a game. Certainly helps when their games are all about theorizing.
Re: Starfield (PS5) - Better Than Ever, But Still No Space Skyrim
"Bad exploration" is not a critique you want to hear in a open world rpg, especially when it comes to Bethesda. I'm good.
Re: Silent Hill: Townfall Will Sound Just as Good as It Looks
Yeah it sounds pretty good. The slightly distorted sounding piano is a nice touch.
Re: We Hope You're Not Sick of Soulslikes, Because Mortal Shell 2 Just Got a Massive Gameplay Trailer
@Yor-sama Stellar Blade is fairly similar to Souls games to be fair.
Re: Opinion: Does Starfield Suck? People Keep Telling Me to Skip Its PS5 Release
@TheArt Watch Angry Joe's review on it. Pretty much nails every major criticism people have with the game.

Re: PS6 Could Cut Costs with Just 1TB Storage, But Games May Have Smaller File Sizes Than Before
So they're just further screwing people over with physical copies, nice...
Re: 'We're in It for the Long Haul': Bungie Rejects Rumours It Could Move on from Marathon After Unremarkable PS5 Sales
