I'll most likely not be getting it still due to the devs for whatever reason keep retconning the story in uninteresting ways. Honestly I might be done with new Yakuza games and go for Nagoshi's Gang of Dragons.
@FPSfan1337 SHf plays smooth most of the time but the moment you reach town again during the objective of returning to hinako's house it just frameskips like crazy.
@ear_wig Yeah I don't really like it either, but this is the director who doesn't want his horror game to be "too scary" so this is what you're getting.
@4fold Yeah I saw the leaked adjustments to the story and now I'm not so sure about buying the game. Yakuza has really gone downhill ever since Nagoshi left. :/
Much better feel in combat than the original which I couldn't stand for more than 10 minutes, although I did not like the weapon combat style they gave to Kiryu. Just felt off putting and would have much preferred something similar to Yakuza 0's combat styles.
Lazy as hell design that could be easily applied through controller stickers. One day Sony will actually be able to come up with interesting controller designs.
I like some of the things they've shown like the Ink Ribbons coming back and the zombies acting as if they're still alive, although I found the zombie exploding into blood felt a little too goofy. Still very excited for Requiem.
@mattitudemf My issue so far is that I'm not really doing anything besides pushing forward and watching characters fight and not really doing much besides keeping track of their health or getting hit by debuffs. Last point I reached was at the sky city and screaming "I'm Basch" at civilians.
@LifeGirl Im down for more hack and slash in FF , doesn't matter to me which route they go just as long as it's good. FF can be almost anything since every FF is in their own universe besides their own sequels.
@DennisReynolds I really didn't enjoy DS2 as much as the first one. It's too easy(And Im playing on the "hardest" difficulty btw), a lot of the mystery is taken away by someone explaining, and then the cool looking natural disasters just happen once and never again.
@DennisReynolds Agreed, pretty much by the time you get to the second small area you've by boat you've mostly seen it all. Even then I am still enjoying the improvements to exploration and not having stupid question marks on the map.
@DennisReynolds While I think the exploration is an improvement over Tsushima it definitely still has a bit of Ubi style formula in there like why make the wolf a "skill tree." I felt like that could have been a dynamic interaction.
@iNightfarer "Great reviews do not equal a good game. Go play Silent Hill 1, Silent Hill 2, Silent Hill 3, Silent Hill 4: The Room, and Silent Hill 2 Remake, and then play this abomination. 'It has no ties to the franchise whatsoever despite sharing similar themes.'"
Oh buddy... tell me you haven't played the game without telling me you haven't played the game. I've played the main 4 games and SHf is a great addition to the franchise despite being a spin off.
DS2 just disappointed me tbh, it's whole "dynamic natural disasters" that aren't earthquakes and "floods"(That barely affect the way you play anyways) are scripted moments that happen once and never again so a lot of it feels like more of the same. Not to mention the gameplay felt even more easy compared to the first game and that's with me playing on the hardest difficulty. Also I really dislike how a lot of the game's mystery is completely gone because you have every character explaining everything.
@PerpetualBoredom I understand where you're coming from and while I think it could certainly benefit from having voice actors for the vendors I don't think it makes the game suffer too bad.
This game is a lot of fun and they gave out a free raider deck so Im grinding my ass off for that. Although while the audio is great I've never felt that impressed by it due to Arc Raiders' chaotic nature. Hunt Showdown's audio is still the best in the business for me. Being able to determine where someone is and what you can do based off of someone crouchwalking or pulling out their weapon is what makes the best out of any other game.
Yeah I saw another article about how the added cutscenes cheapen the story by unnecessarily explaining things so I will be avoiding this like the plague.

Re: Tekken 8 Season 3 Gameplay Balance Goes 'Back to Basics' as Kunimitsu, Bob, and Roger Return
@PuppetMaster Then just add in the combo length of 5 and 6 with damage scaling, would that not solve the problem?
Re: Tekken 8 Season 3 Gameplay Balance Goes 'Back to Basics' as Kunimitsu, Bob, and Roger Return
@PuppetMaster I doubt that they were as long as this and getting a long combo is easy asf here due to the heat system in this game.
Re: Tekken 8 Season 3 Gameplay Balance Goes 'Back to Basics' as Kunimitsu, Bob, and Roger Return
If the combos do get shortened I'll be happy. It makes no sense for them to be that long in short matches such as this

Yeah this just looks too good to be true. Definitely will have to wait until release to see if any of it is real.
Re: Play Nioh 3 Now in Free PS5 Demo
I just can't get into the gameplay tbh. Never enjoyed the feel of it.

On my third run for the third ending so this'll be nice for my fourth!
Re: Code Vein 2 (PS5) - Repetitive Vampiric Soulslike May Still Sate Your Bloodlust
@KillerBoy People who play Dark Souls, Sekiro, Bloodborne, and Elden Ring?
Re: Code Vein 2 (PS5) - Repetitive Vampiric Soulslike May Still Sate Your Bloodlust
Not surprising, but I did not enjoy the first game due to its floaty feeling gameplay.

Re: Classic Assassin's Creed Games Could Get 60FPS PS5 Upgrades Next
@DennisReynolds I was wondering why the resolution looked off when playing it. Doesn't seem like it'll be addressed though which is a bit of a shame.
Re: Classic Assassin's Creed Games Could Get 60FPS PS5 Upgrades Next
Literally just reinstalled Unity as well. I just wish it would get a graphics update for PS5 due to the crowd quality popping in and out.
Re: Highguard Finally Breaks Silence, Watch the Launch Showcase Next Week
Uhh no thanks, I wanted Titanfall 3, not this generic hero shooter.

Typical Ubisoft.

Division 1 atmospherically looks better compared to 2 even if I found the game extremely boring.

Since it has turn based combat I'm down to try it out as I'm not having much fun with FF12 as I wanted to so far.

I still need to finish Expedition 33, I think I'm near the end of the game but I ain't too sure.
Re: Game of the Year: #5 - Dispatch
Definitely should be lower on the list, story is good but most of the game is illusion of choice and leads to extremely similar outcomes.
