Capcom has confirmed that Monster Hunter Wilds' next big update will arrive in just a couple of weeks, and that it'll include some major adjustments that were originally going to be part of Title Update 3.
Just to recap, Title Update 3 is still set for late September — promising a new monster and "various improvements" — but now, its "expansion of endgame content" will be implemented much earlier, in patch 1.021.
This patch is pencilled in for the 13th August. It'll feature new, high difficulty quests that reward special Talismans with randomised skill combinations. In other words, it's a fresh way to grind for endgame builds.

What's more, 1.021 is bringing a bunch of weapon balancing, which will apparently cover "more weapons than originally planned".
It's unclear why the dev team is pushing all of this forward, but we're sure that players won't be complaining. Here's hoping that the endgame additions breathe some new life into Wilds, which has sometimes been criticised for its lack of overall difficulty and endgame goals.

Oh i will be complaining alright. I don't care how much content they add until they fix the performance and texture issues.
In all honesty, activity numbers have dropped off a cliff, which is probably why they are pushing this forward.
I assume this is to try to mitigate all of the negativity around the game. Although as @Nem said, seems like most people are critical of the game's performance.
Steam reviews are absolutely brutal.
They need to put the expansion out and fast before the games dies completely
@Hylian-Likely You should really go back if difficulty was the issue. High rank Zoh Shia, tempered gore, tempered seregios and tempered lagiacrus all put up a good fight.
I wish they'd stop messing with the weapons every update, personally. Pull up what's underperforming once in a blue moon, sure, but the see-saw of buffs and debuffs is getting excessive. It reminds me of the fiasco with Helldivers 2 a few months after release - it's a PvE game, not a competitive one, it doesn't need such heavy-handed balancing. Hell, it doesn't need to be 'balanced' at all; every game before World had weapons that came out as the firm meta, but most people still just played the weapons that they liked.
Just let people have fun with your game instead of trying to convince them to use less of this attack or mode and more of that one, etc.
@Hylian-Likely They made it way too accessible imo leading to fights becoming too easy. There are 8 star fights which are the only ones worth doing but you have to search for those through investigations.
I enjoy the game a lot, but it is definitely a lot easier than the games I played in the past.
The difficulty is decent now but it was way too easy for too long. The story mode difficulty of the main campaign makes Wilds hard to fall in love with compared to 5th gen
