The Dead Space vibes are on full show in a new 10-minute gameplay deep dive for Bloober Team's next survival horror game, Cronos: The New Dawn.
From the same studio behind last year's excellent Silent Hill 2 remake, the Polish developer is immediately following the effort up with a slightly more action-focused take on survival horror. Throughout the gameplay walkthrough, Bloober Team guides viewers through Sector A-0.
"In the distant future, only Travelers possess the gravity-defying gear needed to explore environments where the laws of physics have completely broken down." We see glimpses of how this story setup manifests in gameplay sequences, with the main character pulling objects and pieces of terrain towards them. Then, they can propel themselves to walls and ceilings via specific glowing pads.

While the game lacks an exact release date, Cronos: The New Dawn is confirmed to be releasing for PS5 later this year. It appears other outlets have hands-on previews to share next week, so a final launch date may be shared then.

They will release this fall?? I wonder i bet the game will get delayed for early 2026 i hope im wrong but i can see it
I can't really say this is interesting to me. It just doesn't look like it's doing a whole lot new.
I enjoy me some dead space so cronos is definitely a classic looking game. Word up son
Too abstract for my liking and not so keen on the lumbering movement either.
Looks awesome, Bloober has really leveled up their game lately it seems.
Horror game in space.
All articles: is this Dead Space?
Mhhh doesn‘t this look like a fat downgrade in terms of visual quality?
Ugh. Games like this need lots of context before revealing gameplay footage.
Looking forward to this, hell is us and silent hill f
Looks amazing, had to stop watching halfway to avoid too many spoilers. Have to say, love that the game doesn’t take place on a space station the whole time!
Not every game has to revinvent the wheel. If it does what Dead Space did right then it could be good.
I love me some over-the-shoulder survival horror as much as the next guy, but this just looks... dull?
Think this could really be something special after Bloober riding high on the success of SH2. Bit daft pigeon holing it as a Dead Space type game, not every war game is COD after all...
Am I the only one to find the way the writers use the word PS5 in the title of their articles in a way that makes it seem as if it is an exclusive? It's obvious that it's coming to the PS5 by virtue of there being an article at all, the inclusion of PS5 is completely unnecessary. To be fair, it's not just Push that does it, as Pure does it sometimes too. It just feels really unnecessary...
More importantly - is that VA in this clip Jane Perry (aka Returnal’s Selene Vassos)???
I get a lot more Returnal vibes than I do Dead Space.
@Cerny nice joke
