Astrobot and Final Fantazio and maybe Dragon Age later on for me!

With Rebirth, Stellar Blade and this, Sony has really catered to my taste like never before …very strong year.

@Decimateh-xblz there is no “social activity management” in this game. Setting aside it’s a pretty “classic” JRPG, bordering on archaic dungeon crawling and don’t get me wrong, it can be a lot of fun.

@anubisvel I was deliberatley over the top and not serious at all! Of course there is nothing wrong with Animal Crossing. I do love seeing young girls playing Europa Universalis or Tekken or Monster Hunter instead of cutesy games that are more stereotypically girly, though

Nintendo games, generally, aren’t my cup of tea, aside the occasional outstanding gem they put out every 10 years or so.
But there is something about seeing young girls playing Animal Crossing… that really makes me want to call social services, and lecture them about staying in school and develop a personality.

The MC really is as bland they can get…but the more I read about the rest of the game and its systems the more I am intrigued .

I’d generally be rubbed the wrong way by
guest characters but Mai and Terry fit so well! And we’ll get to see them in the RE engine. Elena is one of my fave SF3 addition…the new body Bison lacks the iconic design of the dictator and he could have stayed dead for longer

Heck yeah! Love an excuse to revisit this

This is the most hyped I have ever been about a PlayStation Studios game! I hope it's as good as it looks and as fun as the PS5 pack in! The cameos looked amazing!
And wash your mouth before badmouthing 2024 as it got me Rebirth, Stellar Blade (just got the plat!) and now this!

Sign me up! And Sony, make this a PlayStation series! This game is perfect for a sequel: it has the narrative for it and even being absolutely great as a whole you could point many parts of the game that could use improvements!

Started NG+ on Stellar Blade to get the last ending and collecting the remaining cans. Really robust Ng+! Hopefully I can do I it all before Akuma drops in SF6 because then I will be very busy beating a lot of wannabe edgelords demons with female characters and Blanka:P

Shhh guys, let’s not complain too much or they’ll give the rebranding job to the guy who penned some of their game titles.

Stellar Blade performing better than Bayo 3 is a testament of how much Sony missed out not picking up Bayonetta 2 publishing rights. It’s a series that would thrive much more on PS/Xbox than Nintendo.

I can manage to deal with this particular loss.

I kind of got into Aki but after diamond she is hard to win with. Mostly bad matchups. Hope she gets some buff

Errr..:this was always obvious, how could one even think this game has been censored? There are tons of ridiculously skimpy outfit much more revealing than the two “censored” ones.

@get2sammyb I don’t understand where this is coming from, it feels like we had 1 Horizon game for every 12 Cod and Mario themed games 😁 I am hopeful to play Horizon 3 before 2028 :/ FW has been one of my PS5 era highlights with Rebirth and Returnal

@ChrisDeku I feel you, that is a completely alternate reality 🤣 Mario kart remaster is the best seller of an interminable list of rehashed games, remasters, “remakes”, Wii U and PS3 ports

^ yeah if we have to count the spin offs as well, we have been receiving one game a year for a while.

Also I need some kind of change in the next main episode, the rigid nature of the gameplay loop has kind of worn me out.

It could be something as simple as not attending high school during the day and exploring adult life…I am sure being a salary man or office lady has plenty of hardships.

Persona is actually one of the few IPs I have clear ideas about things they could implement that would make everybody happy without turning the franchise upside down, like multiple main characters (with different age, occupation, gender, social class) that lead to different introductions (think Dragon Age Origin) and perspective to the story. Or daily-life boons for each arcana - let’s says you can manipulate people with extra dialogue choices if you are holding a persona of the devil arcana, chariot gives you a boost in sports/mini-games, lovers let you get more charisma points from stat boosting activities, moon gives you a perk in night time activities, magician lets you see secret doors, strength has no perks but its personae are really strong in combat and so on…

Yay! Very good news.
Now please make my dream of Darkstalkers’ return a reality. Or my pipe dream of Sega vs Capcom.

I mean no offense to Xbox fans (play wherever it makes you happy!) but can we do some black magic and swap Xbox with SEGA back again? 🥲 They are working on reviving so many dormant IPs and I would buy a console just for Sega/Atlus stuff, let alone third party support.

I quiet like the Dragon age series a lot and Inquisition in particular but we have to take into account that we are all playing this after BG3 >_<

As long as we are playing great games, do we really care if they are first or third party? I struggle to think of a first party title that I would enjoy as much as Stellar Blade or Rebirth. A fulll Astrobot game, maybe

And this causes less of a controversy than the HD2 PSN requirement, of course

@REALAIS As you can read in my comment, l agree that selling and then making the game impossible to play in a lot of countries was incredibly stupid and that’s why this decision is the only logic one they could take.

I am happy they reverted the situation because it didn’t have any sense to delist the game in countries that have no access to psn, just don’t sell it there in the first place. Players from the remaining countries (95% or so, I’d imagine) could really benefit to learn to read before buying 🙃

PlayStation’s strength is its variety so more first party titles will be very welcome when they release.

As for me, none of PlayStation first party studios has the ability to produce something I would enjoy on the same level I enjoy Rebirth or Stellar Blade, so it’s definitely working!

@Pixipantalon Thank you, will indeed try! I am also a native French speaker (my mother is French, my dad is Italian) and I thought the French dub was alright! Italian one has more striking Adam and Lilith!

It’s a 9 for me! It is so much fun and Eve is adorably sweet. Maybe not as challenging as I hoped it would be, as it gets a lot easier as you get new abilities and equip, but that is my main gripe. The Italian dub is significantly better than the English one, so I switched to it. Will try Korean for NG+

Absolutely appreciated the DLC for this game: Kairos gate in particular is really addicting stuff! While I vastly prefer the approach that SE had in Rebirth, XVI can be a very intense game.

@Deljo it’s not really what is happening, as you can see from the poll results. It’s more like Microsoft published studios “begging” to have an audience that justify their development (not to mention acquisition) costs.

The game discourse since the beginning of the year has been heavily centered around PlayStation exclusives anyways (Rebirth, Helldivers, Stellar Blade…) 🤷🏼‍♀️

The designs are so cool. Looking forward to photo mode so we can have some nice shots of Eve’s goofy advertising-like poses when she picks them up.

The likely follow up could have better chances to strike a deal with soda companies.

Stellar Blade is providing me with quality no frills-gaming (much needed) with a side dish of suggestions on how to use the ignore button more often 😂

Completed the NG+ skipping the prologue but luckily this didn’t happen.
It’s good they are advising and informing players, less cool they found this almost one year after the release of the game.
