I do hope that SE gives us a turn based FF just for the sake of playing a decent, big budgeted one again but, as someone pointed out, 1 million sales is S-rank failure for SE.

Great review, it really gave me an idea of what to expect from the game. I think I will wait a little bit for this one as I am currently really invested in SF6 but …Indo want to reward SNK’s efforts and I love these legacy characters.

Kinda looks to stylized to be appreciated by the masses but I hope I am wrong for Bungie. There’s a good chunk of people playing Helldivers without getting the irony, like straight up enjoying the fascism 🫣

P.s. the character designer, Yoshiyuki Sadamoto, is the one you might remember for Evangelion and Secret of Blue Water.

I am not too interested in this but I would give it a try - I think it will not sell that well on Switch as it doesn’t really speak to their demographic so it could release on other platforms to recoup the costs later on.

But who knows - I stopped trying to make sense of Nintendo fans when they started to pitch me Xenoblade as a RPG masterpiece or Hyrule Warrrios as a must-have game 🫶🏻

Will we be forced to pay for storage and a decent controller as “optional”? The mouse rumor is interesting but also makes me wonder if they could release a controller that’s even less comfortable than the joy-con.

I used my switch for like 4 games and I happily avoided it like the plague for the rest of its existence as for me it is the worst way to play a game …but I hope they surprise me this gen.

Akira was really high on that character popularity poll they run in the game last year, so I guess it's not out of the question. I hope we do get something like "Super Street Fighter 6" and more characters are added outside the 4 for season...

I really loved the atmosphere of the game back when I played it but, as the article says, the combat was really basic even at the time. I wonder how they could tinker with it.

My appetite for Atlus’RPGs has never been weaker than now so I’ll wait for the reviews, players’ impressions and a sale but it’s great that titles like this get a second chance to shine!

I did not see this coming! I can’t remember anything similar in other fighting games too.

Everything that is Ps5 exclusive has been vilified or deemed irrelevant by the usual media outlets fanboys just because it’s not on their system or is not fueling the money behind the sites. It’s so transparent at this point that I find it hysterical when anyone is still surprised by it.

Dear Atlus, use a decent graphic engine, include all the content from the previous versions and give longtime fans a reason to play through this. So basically everything you didn’t achieve with P3R.

She is written kind of restrained and less over the top than other characters - that makes her seem mature and even motherly at times. But yeah, she is a very good looking gal!

It sure is a system seller. Sold a lot of PS5 by being kind of a letdown. Not interested in this one tbh but happy for those who were waiting for it.

We actually played a bit of it on Pc with my husband and dropped it in 7-8 hours because it was genuinely boring

I don’t hate the game - it’s visually stellar and has one of the best combat systems in the whole series but it’s a too streamlined (kinda like FFXVI tbh) and lacks in side activities. Throw in a couple of little towns and some mini games and you basically have FFVII Remake.

Lightning Returns is a super interesting game, though. Too bad they couldn’t achieve what it did while keeping the visual fidelity of the original.

@Jireland92 it was also ported to iPhones/iPads but yeah as much as I love the game and found it brilliant - I would say it’s not everyone’s cup of tea. Maybe not divisive but not mainstream either.

I am low-key kinda hating it. There is some clunkiness in the fights and I just can’t get into the flow of the battles. Also some of the mechanic is a bit too similar to SF’s drive system but at this rate, I’ll stick to that :/ I think Terry and Mai play much better in SF6 than here.

No offense to any of my fellow readers, but if you have not heard of this game at all, then it’s probable you don’t follow videogame news too much and, I mean, there is nothing wrong with it. I am actually sick of hearing about this darn project XD FFXV hadn’t released when we started to hear bout it.

Switching to this after the transparency they showed us with the likes of Persona 3 Reload and Metaphor: gaslighting people to think they were exclusives. They are really embracing defeat and I won’t miss these practices.

I am very excited that Housemarque is continuing what they started with Returnal - but also excited for Tides of annihilation and Stellar Balde dlc. A lot promising games on display tbh

@SMJ @PuppetMaster tbh DKC wasn’t goty material even the year it released on Wii. Not calling it bad by any means but I would not even consider it in the same league as Astro Bot.
