McDonald’s Japan has teamed up with Capcom on a Street Fighter 2-themed promo that’ll be hard to top.
The promotion – named Street Burgers – has rolled out with a ton of promotional pixel art, showing series protagonist Ryu chomping away on a Samurai Mac and shady Shadaloo villain M. Bison clutching his takeaway order tight.
Three promotional sandwiches are available as part of the team-up, including a Burnt Garlic Mayo Egg Teriyaki Burger, a Yurunji Mayo Chicken Burger, and a Triple Cheese Burger.
To drink, you can also grab an Overflowing Energy McFizz – and upgrade that to an ice cream float, as is common in Japan. There’s also some new seasoning available for its fries.

To be honest, the coolest part about all this is seeing all of the promotional artwork, which is utterly ridiculous and very amusing.
For example, the trailer shows a recreation of Chun-Li’s stage from Street Fighter 2, but the little eatery in the background has been replaced by a McDonald’s, with pixel art versions of Street Fighter 6 newcomers Manon and Marisa standing outside.
Sadly, we’re not in Japan otherwise we’d be making headway to our nearest McDonald’s right now. (God, we could sure use a McGriddle this morning!)
If you do happen to be in the area, though, you know what you need to get for lunch today.
