Bloober should stay independent. I like Silent Hill f and the SH2 remake to an extent but it still doesn't wash away the bad taste of P.T Konami left. Let alone each Pro enhanced game has been a dud on delivery although to be fair they saved me a fortune on not investing in a pro.

Great idea, even more microtransactions or even Assassin's Creed: Gacha incoming.

Surprised the Mayor allowed this to fly. As he's anti anything rebellious against a corrupt system.

@Oram77 The irony is I find the Pragmata kid creepier than any of the creepy kids throughout the RE franchise so far!

@Oram77 Sounds like the Life Is Strange Collection due Friday. I'm hoping PS will do a review of that and explain if there are actually native PS5 versions of LIS, LIS: BTS and LIS 2 or Square are pulling a sly one and just including the PS4 versions but touting the whole collection as PS5 versions...

Strewth have they still not patched this game into an acceptable state? Judging by the comments above no. I was actually going to pick up the physical copy how bad is it currently? Is it reasonably playable or not worth a punt at this point?

Loving it so far and only 30% in. Had to cheat on the puzzle box though, they should allow you to change difficulties during the game.

I suppose it depends if it adds anything to the story, if it's just a 100% straight retelling there isn't much point.

AW2 is reason enough to subscribe played it twice and it's godlike. Cracking soundtrack and a nice NG+. Far, far better than the original which hasn't aged well remastered or not.

There are some distinct Alan Wake 2 vibes there as well.
I'd be surprised if this is actually decent though looks a total mess.

Hopefully finishing Cronos today although the damn final boss is another pain in the rear. Then can start Silent Hill f.

@Oram77 Thanks, get mine in a few hours and am 96% in Cronos so should be able to get straight on it if the final Cronos boss isn't a nightmare that is!

Cheers, I get mine tomorrow in theory. I do know the standard case has a reversible sleeve which looked pretty good too.

I'm interested but with no pre-order bonuses or steel book chose Silent Hill f this week. I'll pick this up somewhere down the line as no need for a day one punt that's for sure.

@Oram77 Did the disc come in the steelbook or was the standard case included as well? And if so was the standard one the day one edition with the pre-order DLC? Cheers in advance.

This is nothing new, the PS5 version of Like A Dragon didn't allow PS4 to PS5 save files. In fact is their one native PS5 Yakuza game that does?

Why in the name of Holy Hell haven't they allowed the digital copy to run 60fps? That seems mental to make it exclusive to the disc version or has this been patched back in now?

I would only consider a pro if my base broke down till then I'll wait for the PS6. And then I'd wait a couple of years for a price drop and a decent catalogue before a punt on that too. This is the gen that really put me off Sony.

Wasn't one of these two projects going to be a Microsoft exclusive though? I'm sure I read that when they were first announced?

@cainhurst94 That was my exact thought when I saw the poster. Can't see Eddage as an action lead though and yes I have seen the Jackal. Kojima usually goes with tough(ish) male leads in his games unless of course this is a totally different kind of project.

To be fair they haven't (in theory) put a "PS Pro enhanced" emblem on the front or back cover like several other publishers do. So you could argue they aren't obliged to make sure it works 100% on the pro. It's a bit like when you play a PS4 game on the PS5 granted the majority work fine but not all so again it's a case of semantics...

@Dodoo I'd hazard a guess as the most recent wave of games (SH2, MGS:SE and the above) have all been outsourced it's likely they've all disbanded.

@Oram77 Germany is, or at least was, a few years back the same.
They actually had to put "uncut" or "uncensored" on many horror films so punters knew they were getting the same as their UK or US counterparts.

@Nepp67 It's not just the score though, it's the performance issues, a lot of 7/10 reviews dropping today. When a game isn't that cheap day one I need to know I'm investing wisely rather than a blind buy.

I tried the first remastered trilogy, gawked at the tank controls then found the modern ones even worse. They were so ropey with the first game it was as if they broke the damn game.

@LiamCroft Did you try it on a base PS5 though as wasn't this the exact same problem with SH2 and MGS:SE being pro performance issues but fine on the base model?

Sounds like they've ripped off Nier Automata a bit regarding the abrupt ending then restart again angle. Also 7/10 is making me reconsider my pre-order.

It's Amazon so I'm not getting my hopes up after the burning Rings of Power and the snorefest Wheels Of Time. Fallout to be fair was watchable but them pulling a decent God Of War nah I'm not having it.

I just picture this akin to the Kevin Sorbo Hercules only without the intentional comedy. Perhaps they could cast Bezos himself he's got the barnet down...

Silent Hill f and Hotel Barcelona for moi. Are you sure about that Hotel Barcelona release date as Amazon and The Game Collection have it scheduled for late October? Mind you that is the physical copy perhaps the digital is released earlier...

But that game wasn't well received so doubt it'll be that.
Shame as it wasn't actually that bad but they played down the horror which didn't do it any favours. It came across like the manga Parasyte if anything.

The worst spoiler for me was when they dropped (prior to release) a golfing incident with a character from TLOU2 the swines!

That picture did give me a few laughs though, the photo shopper should have put a parrot on the new lived in Leon's shoulder. SQUAWK!

@Oram77 Very true, the guy is often more wrong than right on all his leaks. There was one he did when this game was first outed as RE9 and it clearly wasn't what is now Requiem in any shape or form unless they make Grace's arc about 5 minutes long. Something about Jill and Leon or Jill and Chris on an island the plot sounded godawful and totally unbelievable. Like a bad version of the end segment of RE4 all action and no scares. I think he was either on the pipe or got confused with RE4 Remaster!

@Oram77 I didn't watch every trailer so to be fair I may have seen her in a weaker looking light. I don't think it even registered with me she was FBI. So if she can pull off a Jodie Foster in Silence of the Lambs or the FBI agent from Longlegs it could be cool and no need for the old skool characters to appear. Either way the game I'm most looking forward to next year that's for sure!

@Oram77 I don't know she kinda reminds me of the Fanning sisters. Mind you if she's got a .44 in tow bullets are obviously going to fly lol!

@Splat Whatever you do don't play Hell Is Us, although the puzzles are logical and not Myst/Riven levels they are many and some are real mindbenders. It's rewarding when you solve one but then it's literally onto the next with a few battles inbetween!

@Oram77 Still think they are playing us and what we've seen so far isn't indicative of the core game. Could be wrong but the previous trailers remind me of the Rose DLC from Village and that was brief. Also Grace doesn't seem capable of kicking butt like say Jill or Claire and Rose obviously had powers. Unless they are totally dialling down on the fighting back aspect and turning this into a stealth fest of course...

I liked the first two to an extent although for me it was the soundtrack of two that stood out an absolute belter of a synth driven score.

But unfortunately with the above I won't take a punt anytime soon as there are just too many decent horror games out or on the radar that it'd really need to be something. Still that's a good position to be in for a gamer September alone has been a corker with Cronos and Hell Is Us with Silent Hill f next week!

@Oram77 Nah there is no difficulty options luckily what I've done in the last five minutes is gone to accessibility options and turned on aim assist. Bit of a cheat or dumbing the game down but my reflexes aren't what they used to be and am now enjoying it.

@Oram77 Hell Is Us sold me on the game so they got a pre-order although wish Cronos had a demo as am having a really tricky time with the difficulty and may not have taken a punt. I'm playing it again now hoping I can get further but Jesus it's hard. And only an hour or so in with the first merging encounter it's brutal.

@Athrum You could be right, I didn't like TMWNN that much apart from the ending for actual feels and Infinite Wealth seemed all over the place. Infinite Wealth would possibly have been better without Kiryu in it at all. Mind you I played both one after another so perhaps had Yakuza fatigue.

Hells teeth not another one being a day one wreck what is up with these developers? On a plus it can't be worse than the movie!

@Athrum Still think 6 had the worst story especially the ending it came across a bit weird if not outright creepy. I wonder if something got lost in the translation perhaps but still had dodgy overtones lol.
