We may see more of Yakuza dev RGG Studio’s next project Stranger Than Heaven during today’s State of Play, but if not, this is the most you’re getting for now.
The studio closed its RGG Direct with a brief clip of the upcoming adventure, which will span several different eras across a decade of Japanese history.
The clip, captured by Gematsu, shows a lady singing on stage, and it’s interspersed with footage of the team working on the title behind-the-scenes. We do get several brief glimpses of off-screen gameplay throughout.

Obviously, this isn’t the big update we hoped for, but SEGA has been saying this title will release somewhere between 1st April, 2026 and 31st March, 2027. We’re guessing the date will be closer to the latter at this point.
