@somnambulance The deluxe looks nice and isn't crazy money but the red flags with this are enough to put me off till reviews and a drop in price. Konami won't sell me after the PT debacle on anything the SH2 remake aside one plus point isn't an all winner.

Just realised Combichrist did the soundtrack for the first one. I have that on CD but not the game was it a PlayStation Plus monthly title at some point? Maybe I played it that way but it wouldn't explain no trophies on my console?

@Questionable_Duck Thanks for the good news that being there is a physical copy. The bad news obviously being LRG are releasing it.

I always thought I'd played the first one but then couldn't see any save files let alone trophies so think I imagined it or played something similar. Damn day drinking!

@mac_da_man I'm going to give Outlaws a go as just saw there is a PS5 demo. But gotta finish DS2 first and also have Lies Of P.
First world problems having so many good games to choose from...

@armad11 The liquid metal can't be the cause as it would have happened on other games, also I have what I assume is a base model (despite getting a few years after initial release) and it's always been vertical. Couple that with the fact apart from brushing aside a bit of dust from the vents and never removing the covers or cleaning it mine would be a prime candidate for a non-game related heating issue.

The problem with influencers as opposed to say honest reviews is they can let their political views get in the way of a decent game. Take Veilguard for example, I went in thinking this is going to be utter garbage but got the deluxe dirt cheap and enjoyed it. Even the scene that upsets so many wasn't as bad as they'd made out.
It makes me wonder what other games I could be missing out on wish their was a demo of Outlaws or Shadows as wonder if they aren't as bad as some say too.

@Qu1n0n3z I risked it in the end but haven't noticed the issue. I think there was slight noise during the map screen at one point but nothing akin to the PS5 becoming airborne. Also about 40% in so would have come across it by now.

Too much else out to even consider it at the mo.

Would prefer OD first, we have enough nods to MGS in DS2 not that that is bad thing in DS2 but would love to see Hideo tackle a horror IP. It'll make up for PT being a non starter damn you Konami!

I'm not one for conspiracy theories but it's starting to feel like the UK has become one massive godawful social experiment. As for the above cobblers if they were at all serious about protecting kids they'd come down hard on knife crime and make the streets safe from the usual suspects. But are doing neither.

Sounds like it hasn't improved since the physical PS4 copy was released. I tried it then and it was a godawful janky mess and sounds just as bad now judging by the comments above.

Makes one wonder if Nintendo have the Labour government as advisors...

@Stevemalkpus Cronos was in full development long before SH2 though.

@PuppetMaster Didn't he do Slitterhead though I may be wrong but wasn't that originally going to be Siren 3? Or is the Siren franchise owned by Sony exclusively which could mean a Kojima/Konami type scenario. Surely Siren didn't do too badly I mean there were 3 games.

@illegalmonkey I take it this means it's a digital release only as can't find a physical listing? Bit daft as it'll just mean I'll wait till either there is (like BG3, Alan Wake 2) or a sale (Frank Stone).

@somnambulance think DS2 is my GOTY so far too. Only 30% in as was a bit wary of starting it with the overheating jazz still not patched but touch wood no issues yet. Thought I heard something when I paused on the map screen for a few minutes but it could have been my imagination.

I did like the SH2 remake but perhaps because I was expecting it to be bad they kinda won me over. But like you say there were no surprises plot wise other than a few bits added but couldn't even tell what they were as had been years since the PS3 upgrades.

@playstation1995 Those Divinity games would be one of the few franchises that would benefit from a remaster for the PS5 as the originals may have escaped a lot of BG fan's attention.

Wish these studios would concentrate on sequels or new content rather than constantly regurgitating the same old same old. I'm getting sick to death of remasters.

@somnambulance I'm waiting for reviews of MGSD and a price drop. Despite the SH2 remake Konami still haven't won me over with all their past BS. Also DS2 has enough Snake like moments let's face it.

Surprised no-one has pointed out the blatant similarity between the setting and imagery between this and the Forbidden Siren series...

Strange this collector's edition is so expensive when the one for Little Nightmares 3 is quite cheap. Loved the first two just wish they'd make these games longer perhaps they will with the above and LN3...

I wonder if DayZ has improved since the physical release (I don't count the beta stage). I might give it a go although obviously Lies Of Pi is the corker this month.

@PuppetMaster Can't stand that dynamic either one because it doesn't make any sense. Why would hitting something soft with a crowbar several times snap or break it? All they really need to do is make the bosses harder not make the player ferret around for tools every five minutes. Some argue it ramps up tension which is also cobblers as the top rated survival horror titles don't feature the mechanic. Personally I think it's used as an excuse to drag out the length of a game.

Just like Fable this is one of my most eagerly anticipated ports.
Now where has my carer got to?

@Fiendish-Beaver I'm in the same boat, the only way I'd shell out for a Pro would be if my PS5 broke. There simply wouldn't be any other reason especially with so many games not taking advantage of the Pro or god forbid worsening the experience like Silent Hill 2 for example...

Surely if it's going to drop that soon there isn't going to be a physical copy then? Also going up against Silent Hill f the same month may be a bit risky...

Hopefully you get to fight phone thieves riding mopeds and electric scooters with an end of game big boss who turns out to be a corrupt mayor.

Good result, like Banishers this month Lies Of P is a game I wanted to play but didn't get around to buying. I hope they've improved DayZ though, I bought the physical copy years ago then flogged it as it was total pants.

@PuppetMaster I had exactly the same with the PS5 version of the above. I was expecting a Persona 5 or Metaphor but didn't realise this was a much older game and as a result found it a bit dated and janky.

Well if at first you don't succeed, fail, fail and fail again...

With games like this outside of some DLC there is very little reason for a day one or pre-order. I'll wait for reviews. Then wait till it's a third of the price.

Not sure why but the only Xbox exclusive I ever got excited about coming to PlayStation was Alan Wake. Gears, Halo just can't get interested then again not a big fan of shooters outside of the Resistance trilogy.

@nessisonett That is a waste of time if criminals arrive unvetted in the first place as no-one knows what they have done prior to arrival. And no I'm not far right but as a parent am very concerned about what is going on in the UK.

@TimeDelayedGamer It's already begun, they are using it to target and censor various new media outlets. It was quite obvious when it was initially proposed the protecting kids angle was utter cobblers to get it through the door. If they were serious about protecting kids they should be making the streets and towns safer for them first and foremost.

Their "reasoning" for this is also a witch hunt akin to the early nineties when they blamed shock rockers/horror films/violent games for the clear failings of parents and government.

I'm starting to think I may actually like this based on the fact I nearly bought into the hate towards Veilguard then scored it cheap and enjoyed it. Even the one scene that got so much scorn wasn't as bad as folkers made out. However will wait for the Gold edition to drop bigtime which like most Ubi games it inevitably will...

@Anya-chan Silent Hill F isn't out, let's wait for the reviews before thinking it's GOTY...

Personally I prefer games without a time limit, it doesn't really add anything to a game other than to limit choices. My concern with the above is if you are aware beforehand which actions are likely to forward time. If not you could miss out on parts of the game too easily. Hopefully the developers are aware of that however.

To be fair they are on the case fairly quickly.
Unlike Kojima and the overheating issues for DS2 still not patched...

Let's have CD alongside the Alan Wake 2 complete soundtrack not overpriced vinyl.
