Hideo Kojima has finally peeled back the curtain on his long-in-development horror game with Xbox Game Studios, the previously announced OD.
The trailer, which is mostly shot from a first-person perspective, will largely rekindle fond (?) memories of the auteur’s infamous PT demo, which was used to announce the cancelled Silent Hills back on the PS4.
The clip confirms a cast of Sophia Lillis (who we see at the tail end of the trailer), Udo Kier, and Hunter Schafer – the latter of whom was most recently linked to the role of Zelda in Sony’s live action movie before official casting was announced.

The game’s running in Unreal Engine 5 as opposed to Guerrilla’s Decima Engine (which is what Kojima Productions used for the Death Stranding series), but no platforms or release dates have been announced.
The trailer does end with the message: “For all players and screamers.”
We think it’s fairly safe to assume this game will launch on the PS5 at some point, as Microsoft seems to have moved away from exclusivity at this stage.
But given the lack of a release date, we suspect it’ll still be several years away anyway.
What are your thoughts on the trailer? Is this something you’re looking forward to?
