The thing with this game is it’s just boring. The story isn’t great and at its core just isn’t there. Cyberpunk at least there was a great game to be unburied under all the problems it had when it launched. 2.0 and beyond is one of my favorite games of all time.

I got into 1 but then life got in the way when I was around 15 hours in. But it’s been awhile since I’ve played 1. After I finish the dlcs in Nioh I plan to get back and play through 1.

It’s all good. I’m waiting for a discounted directors cut anyway. By then if I’ve seen any spoilers at all I’ll have forgotten them

I can see that. DS2 is a huge release. But the gameplay and kojima style is still a bit niche compared to GOY.

@DonJorginho eternal is my favorite modern shooter. I loved almost everything about it except the final boss of the base game. I really need to play the dlc sometime.

@nomither6 this is totally the backlog generation. I’ve bought 4 new games this gen that weren’t cross gen when they came out. Returnal, expedition 33, demon souls, ahhh I guess only 3.

Replayed ff9 recently. Great f*cking game. The combat isn’t very deep though. I enjoyed playing with builds in ff7 more.

I just couldn’t get around the combat. I tried several times. I loved the story and world. But if the gameplay doesn’t match it doesn’t hold me.
