IO Interactive has just published the second episode of Beyond the Light, its dev diary series focused on 007 First Light.
In this video, staff and members of the cast talk about the action adventure game's characters and how they came to be:
There's insight on IO's interpretation of several key James Bond personalities, like Moneypenny, M, and Q, as well as the main man himself of course.
We also hear a bit about the design of the characters in this original story, as well as the process of scanning actors' faces into the game.
While we don't get to see any new footage of the game in action, it's an interesting video all the same. It's nice to hear from performers like Kiera Lester (Moneypenny) and Alastair Mackenzie (Q) to get their perspective on the story and characters.
007 First Light is due to arrive on PS5 on 27th May 2026 after it was delayed out of March.

A rogue Calvin Dyson cameo! Mad, been watching his videos on Bond for years.
I so wished there'd be some erotic scenes and inter human connections etc but veryimely will be just a game - action and stealth
@Frmknst No thanks. There is plenty of shovelware s**t available on the store for you to get your eroticism in games. Action and stealth sounds good for a Bond game made by the Hitman developers.
@nessisonett Ha, same! Good for him.
This is starting to be more over exposed than death loop was.
Hope it works well. I am excited about this but afraid of bad optimization also.
@Frmknst you mean romance not full sex scenes right?
Is the performance fixed?
@HerlockSholmes and that's the problem. Bond never was hitman. He was the worst spy ever: told everyone his real name, went in guns blazing and screwed every hottie he met. And First Light looks like nothing more than Hitman reskin.
