@nessisonett I work at a place that did something similar. They couldn’t fire the person who joined a union on their own, so they eliminated the entire position across the company to mask getting rid of 1 person. 28 people lost their jobs. They called it “restructuring “. We were already short handed too so it only made the job worse for the rest of us.

Great game. But I’d laugh at anyone wearing one of those in public. It’s like seeing someone wearing a wrestling t shirt out in the wild.

@dskatter for me it’s great. When my wife and daughter are on the tv I can put on headphones and play on the portal.

@Oram77 I agree. I feel like after seeing avowed and outer worlds I just don’t know if they have another game of new Vegas quality in them. That’s not to say those games are bad at all. They’re just not new Vegas level. I’d be shocked if we ever see another fallout game on that level again

I prefer new games and new ips. Buying entries into series over 3 games deep 80-90% of the time end up diminishing returns.

ICQ and Compuserv chatrooms. Internet on floppy disks for 10hours at a time. Let’s goooo. The good old days.

Clair Obscur all the way baby. New ip, fantastic game, not price gouged to hell. This game deserves to be an example to the rest of the industry.

@Odium it’s funny I was really excited for gears on PlayStation. But it released… I didn’t get it.. and I’m still working through other games. I played the hell out of them on 360. So I’d rather play games I haven’t played. Same for halo.

Don’t pay for ps plus now anyway so it doesn’t make a difference. Compelling single player games will draw me in.

@somnambulance if it makes you feel any better I’m almost always one of the voters of abysmal on polls for the same reason.

@ShadowRJ oh man I totally forgot about red fall. I mean we all did…. But talk about a forgettable game. At least concord failed on such an epic scale we won’t soon forget it. Redfall didn’t even have the courtesy of being an epic failure.

Well yeah. It’s ea…would anyone expect this company to anything that isn’t awful? People keep supporting them so they’re not changing course any time soon if at all.

@Northern_munkey I’m a minimalist though. I prefer bare bones as opposed to the garbage we’re getting today. I don’t think anything they’ve added makes up for the value in the free psn. Personal opinion. I didn’t have issues with match making then really. Yea, it was slower. But again, I grew up with loading screens being normal so it doesn’t bother me much.

I liked all of halo 1. Masterpiece. So many of us bought a system just for that game. However…. A lot of game’s aspects age differently because of the times. Somethings are best left in the past. Remaking everything tarnishes our memories of the time. But hey. I’m old. What do I know.

@ED_209 if it’s true and they remove paywall to play online…. Just imagine all the other scummy things they’ll do to make up for that. Ads every 30min of gaming perhaps???? Hope not. But the way things are going it wouldn’t surprise me

Charging so they can provide more “service” in the future. Heard that before. I still prefer the free ps3 era psn. They haven’t added anything that I’d say is worth the state of it now imo obviously.

Finished Clair obscur the other day with as thorough of a play through in a single go through as I could do. Just wow. What a game. At 50$ price point no less. It may hope other devs take notice. They won’t… but one can hope.

I’m torn between starting death stranding or Batman Arkham asylum now.

@Medic_alert that’s as accurate as a statement as it can be. I work in a company that’s setting unrealistic number expectations and to achieve those numbers it comes at a great cost I know wasn’t considered when they set those numbers. Now they’re in a constant state of thinking addition through subtraction. But it just doesn’t work that way if you drive away business through scummy practices to achieve a number.

What I love about the pro. Is that those who have to spend time trying to justify its existence. I got one. I literally see no difference in the games I play. That’s because you really have to pay attention to it for it to matter. At that point you’re just straining your eyes to make yourself feel good about the purchase. And fine go ahead. Jump on here and talk about how great the game is “singing” on your pro. But I can see what I paid for and it isn’t worth it. Lesson learned.

I’m in act 3 of Clair obscur now. I was scared for a moment I wouldn’t have a chance to go back and clear up all the stuff I missed before after I finished act 2. The gesturals are easily one of if not my favorite side “comedy” characters in a game. I’m almost intentionally putting off going forward in the story because I don’t want the game to end. So good. Game of the gen for me unseating returnal.

I’ll never spend 1k on a console hand held or otherwise. It’s not that I can’t afford it. I’m just not a sap.

Whatever they release for ps6 will be playable on ps5 for the first 5 years minimum. So absolutely not. Maybe when they start talking about the TRUE ps6 in the ps6 pro ill have a look

@Alpha_Pulse in the past I’d say the same. But 90% of this gen has been spent playing back logs anyway. With the exception of returnal and Clair Obscur

I’ll be waiting till ps6 actually has (if) enough console exclusive games to warrant an upgrade this time.

If next gen is as disappointing as this gen overall. Im skipping. Thats not to say there haven’t been classics. But this gen is just saaaad in comparison to all other PlayStations.

Fable 1 and 2 are great. But it’s not because of this guy. Hes a quack and has contributed little to the gaming community beyond being the guy who made WAY OVERHYPING your game popular.
