I’m going to try to get some progress in Nioh again. Work and life hasn’t allowed me any time to game this week unfortunately. But I have Sunday afternoon off so here’s hoping. I’m getting an itch to go back and play Batman Arkham Asylum. But I’m a one game at a time person, so when I finish Nioh hopefully the itch is still there.

How many people do you think will have full out loud conversations with it like they’re dating? My guess is around half.

@QualityGeezer I wanted to like Witcher 3 so much I just did not like the combat system at all. Which is a drag because the story and world building seemed amazing from what I did play.

@AdamNovice yeah. Kind of suspicious. Makes me feel like it might not be quality. But then again ninja gaiden 2 black shadow dropped and it was killer.

Slowly chipping away at Nioh still. On the 4th region now. I love the shorter mission format of the game. Despite it taking a while to beat. The way it’s set up doesn’t make it feel like I’ve been playing it as long as I have. Just take a mission or two down each session.

This looks like an early Dreamcast game.

So they put out a solid game in shadows apparently. Didn’t play it mostly because this is a rotten company. Even if they put out a few good games i personally feel no need to support anything they do.

Also, it being a trilogy wouldn’t be so bad if we didn’t have to wait 4 years in between games.

Loved it. There was a bit too much fluff in spots. I’d say 8 out of 10. The yuffi section was great though. More focus and combat was on point. 9 out of 10 dlc.

@Grackler I mean. All people need to do is go back to the snes days and look at their game prices. I seem to remember Killer Instinct costing something like 80 dollars.

@VatoLoco47 that’s the thing though. People don’t have self restraint. It’s going to sell very well anyway. Which is unfortunate for us all.

I was stoked for switch 2 until I saw they were going back to the SNES N64 game pricing model. Price of the system didn’t bother me too much.

A lot of people here acting like inflation isn’t a thing. And it’s a purely greed “screw the fans “ move. Price increases in gaming was inevitable. A lot has changed price wise of basically everything since switch 1 was launched.

Yea! Focus on performance! There should be no reason we’re still stuck in the land of 30fps because they’re more focused on graphics the system can’t deliver without impacting performance. It’s maddening honestly.

Doesn’t really matter games aren’t actually finished anyway until they’re fully patched and by then they’re discounted by quite a lot.

It’s wild to think that it’s past the midway point this gen and I only have 3 games that are current gen only not cross with ps4.

My opinion, but I don’t see gta6 topping cyberpunk for me. CP2077 2.0 and phantom liberty are one of my all time favorite game experiences. And that’s from someone who is very burnt out on massive games.

Of course they’re going to say that. It’s like every band says the same thing about the new album. Then it’s either mid or a stinker.

His quote about wanting to get back to the PSX and ps2 era mind set and ethos is exactly what I’ve been craving in modern gaming. This game was already on the radar. Even more so now!

I’m tired of 50+ hour games. I get wanting to put value in. But a focused 15-30 hour game is far more enjoyable to me than a game crammed with bloat and lack of focus.

@Odium I’m still playing the first. But Niohs combat is absolutely immaculate. It lacks Froms level design and boss fights however so far. Sekiro is more or less a perfect game in my view. Such a complete experience that keeps its eyes on the prize all the way through.

Just give me gears damnit!

BB is 2nd only to Sekiro. Honestly none of the other From souls games kept my interest through the end other than those two. Sekiro is just a focused and engaging from beginning to end for me. I prefer the faster combat of those two. Elden ring had me for a while but the game is just too dang long.

Plugging away at Nioh still. Another commenter turned me to focusing on armor and the bonuses from them rather than on straight stats ala dark souls. Thank you whoever that was. It was a big change in how I’ve been playing!

I really feel like it’s going to appear at the switch 2 direct.

My body is ready. Returnal is game of the gen for me so far. Hopefully this surpasses it!

Indies have really been doing some heavy lifting this gen in terms of what’s catching my interest.

Can’t wait to comment on the article about that studio getting shut down after their failed liver service game flops.
