If you've been craving the old-school carnage of a good car combat game, but you've been left disappointed by the clear lack of titles like Twisted Metal on PS5, then we'd highly recommend checking out Warhammer 40,000: Speed Freeks.

This one's been available on PC since last year, but its full release arrives on Sony's system at some point in 2026.

Featuring nothing but orks, crazy vehicular contraptions, and explosions, Speed Freeks has been racking up really positive reviews for months now, with players praising satisfyingly crunchy gameplay and an enjoyably daft tone.

You can certainly catch a bit of said tone via the above trailer, which is full of screaming orks and fiery death. Honestly, it just looks (and sounds) like a good time.

It's worth mentioning, however, that Speed Freeks is purely PvP right now, with the added bonus of being able to create your own tracks and arenas via a dedicated map editor. We don't know if any kind of single-player campaign is planned.
