I played a bit when it came out but never got it into really. Strangely I redownloaded on Friday with an aim to play it tonight, and then a coincidence I saw this article! Looking forward to giving it another shot.
Spent a few hours with it. Quite impressive in many ways but not for me. Too much running about with no ammo and tiny minuscule health bars. Just ended up being a UI resource management nightmare. Would much prefer a single player and more focused PvE.
I did love the gunplay, world building and whole aescetic though. Quality.
Sounds like a great concept but hearing 900 items and 1200 abilities just makes me think I’ll need a degree and to take this on as a second job to understand it all. Overly complex in my opinion but people obviously like it so what do I know!
I have Expedition 33 but unsure when to start it as I’m so busy. I don’t feel like I want to dip into it for 15 mins and want some decent time to begin. So Im at a bit of a loose end for gaming.
Demo was good but very janky, so a real shame they haven’t fixed that. Was going to be a day 1 purchase for me if they could have it 60fps (or at least 30 minimum!!) but I’ll wait and see if they ever fix it.
Skyrim and the Bethesda 1st person rpg format seems so dated now, I think that needs a massive rethink and overhaul for ES6 to be good, regardless of story.
I came to it about 2 years after it was released, so it’d had a few updates by then. I enjoyed quite a lot of it, but several bugs stopped me progressing so I never got past 15 hours or so. Shame, because I think it had potential but they were never going to turn it round into what it should have been from the start.
Haven’t had much free time this week, but will be spending time on the Divinity 2 upgrade, never having played it before. Just finishing Act 1. Obviously not as polished as BG3 overall, but the combat is great and the story is ok so far.
I’ve started Divinity 2. It’s no Baldurs Gate 3, however it’s still good. The companions are all arrogant, rude and annoying though. The game is not making me want to keep playing to help them!
Randomly I just started playing the second one at the weekend. I think it’s pretty good, melee is very chunky and satisfying. Be interested to see where they go with improving it.
Have downloaded this to try again. I could never get into it before. I think that was partially I felt it was a step back gameplay wise after BG3 but also I know DnD rules inside out, I find learning complex systems harder the older I get! Hoping with a bit of PS5 polish and some time I can find a new obsession.
I do have the plat for this. Spent a fair few hours on it before realising its would be possible, so in much the same way I didn’t set out to earn it. But it’s a great game and what I think makes a great plat - one you can simply earn just by playing, not by going out of your way to do strange things.

Re: Poll: Has PS5's Dynamic Pricing Debacle Changed Your Relationship with the PS Store at All?
You can argue this is standard practise with shops selling the same things at different prices. That business.
The different here is that whereas you can buy apples from the cheapest shop you can find, there’s only 1 shop for these games.
Having said that - if you want something then it’s worth what you want to pay for it. If it’s too expensive then don’t buy it.
Re: Hands On: Assassin's Creed Unity's PS5 Update Has Made Us Rethink That 5/10 Review
I played it a few years after release, basically after they updated it - I still think of it as one of my favourite ACs.

What’s up with bug-filled loading screens? Weird.
Re: PS Plus Essential Games for March 2026 Announced
Golf and Monster Hunter absolute trash, but Slime Rancher 2 should be fun! Something for everyone at least.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 621
Just finished Expedition 33. Wow.
Will play some Puzzle Quest and may start Subnautica. Otherwise I will just be doing DIY and probably watch some Peaky Blinders.
Re: Mobile App Addictions Are Quickly Becoming a Serious Threat to Video Games, Report Claims
@HRdepartment Have you played Hole Digging Master? Great game! No need to go outside.

Expedition 33. The more I play the more I like it. Can get a real sense that the people who made it are real gamers who love to actually play games.
Re: 10 PS Plus Extra, Premium Games for February 2026 Announced
@RoomWithaMoose If they added GOW 1&2 then I’d just be playing those and not buying a new GOW game, but I absolutely get your point.
Re: Here's Your Chance to Tell Sony What You Think of Horizon Hunters Gathering
Why the art style has changed from the original games I have no idea. This has total bomb written all over it.

This really sounds like a patent more to stop other people doing it rather than Sony wanting to do it.

Constant rage quitting on Expeditions Mudrunner.

Decent month. The first Subnautica was excellent so have been waiting to try this one!
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 617
I’m right at the end of Divinity 2 so will finish that. It’s been excellent. I would like to dip into Core Keeper.
I’ll be watching Slow Horses and the UFC as well so probably no more spare time.

Approaching Duke Nukem levels of Vapor ridiculousness.
Re: Larian Games Doing Better Than Ever Off the Back of Divinity Reveal
I did just that with DOS2 after the PS5 upgrade. About 60 hours in, great game and can show it led onto BG3. Excited to see where they go next.
Re: PS Plus Loses These 8 Games in February 2026
Carto is a really fun puzzle exploration game.

NFS that’s ready been on Extra and a Mickey Mouse Game. Pretty poor
Saved by Core Keeper which looks ace.
Re: First PS Plus Essential Game for January 2026 Leaked Early
@Frmknst Yes it’s been on Extra before. I’ve played it and got a few trophies but I would never have purchased it, so it must have been.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 613
Family stuff, so just very briefly digging a hole in Hole Digging Master.
Re: Management Game Masters Kairosoft Turn to Long Running Manga KochiKame for Next PS5, PS4 Game

Having a lovely time with Cat Quest 3. Purrfect.
Re: The First PowerWash Simulator 2 DLC Pack Has You Cleaning Up Adventure Time on PS5
Excellent. Not sure how anything will top the 40k and Back to the Future DLC from the first one but I’m excited to see them try!

Re: Bungie's Marathon Locks In March 2026 Release Date on PS5, Priced at $40
Bungie gunplay is top-tier and that’s a really good price point. Interesting. I hope this is more PvE than PvP and that will sell it for me.

Re: Going Platinum #3: Tales from the Borderlands
Love Borderlands and love Telltale, so this was a great one for me. Bit of a bizarre crossover, but hey I thought it worked.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 611
I don’t really have anything to play after finishing PowerWash 2 and Tomb Raider. There’s no backlog. What a time. Maybe I’ll… watch tv?
Re: Mystery Game Awards Reveal Is a New Divinity RPG, as Riddle Is Finally Solved
Divinity 2 was quite far behind BG3 in terms of gameplay/graphics, so hoping it’s more than a straight port as it could do with a bit of modernising.
Re: PlayStation Wrap-Up 2025 Live Now, Get Your Gaming Stats for the Year
Down for me. Another year, another wrap up that doesn’t load because servers are overwhelmed. Bit of a Christmas Sony tradition.
Re: Cairn, the Dark Souls of Climbing Games, Finally Nails Down a Release Date on PS5
Demo was good, but needed tons of polish. Will see how it turns out.
Jusant was awesome! But I know this is more realistic.
Re: After a Rocky Launch, the Entire Team Behind PS5 Racer Wreckreation Might Be Laid Off

Re: Geoff Keighley's Cryptic Post Has Fans Speculating Wildly About The Game Awards Announcement
These cryptic hints are always for reveals that are far less exciting than what everyone actually wants.
Bloodborne, God of War, HL3, New Vegas remake… but it’ll probably only be a teaser trailer for the new Fallout Series 2.

Still on Power Washer 2. Nothing else getting a look in.
Re: Talking Point: Does PS5 Have a Sequel Problem?
Do you know what’s rubbish? A sequel that takes away everything that people loved about the original.
Re: Skate Improves Replays, Adds New Tricks, Party Voice Chat, More in Season 2 on PS5, PS4
Good update, but one of the worst most cringe trailers I’ve ever seen.

Having a very relaxing time with Power Washer 2.
Re: Sony's PS Plus Premium Offer for PSVR2 Games Seems to Die Next Month
I still only have an original PSVR so to be honest I wish they put more of those games on there, nevermind PSVR2 ones.
Re: Talking Point: The Game Awards 2025 Nominations Announced: Who Are Your Winners?
Why is sports and racing the same category? Bit weird.
