This game would do well with team PvE modes. As others have said, the forced PvP matchmaking is a big hindrance after a while.

I’ll sit there on 1018 points forever more, lamenting what wonders I have missed out on by being 232 points short.

Played for over 1000 hours but I agree, there’s almost too much of it now, and it’s hard to go back to. There is a LOT of game there, but going in with the mentality to complete it and collect everything is a path to madness.

Still my favourite game ever but the story is awful.

It is however the best run GaaS I have ever seen, the community knows it and supports it because of that.

Got the platinum on Helldivers 2 but still playing daily doing my bit for democracy.

Isn't it all a bit sad we can’t just play a game and enjoy it.

Not for me, FPS just doesn’t work on a small touchscreen. I’d much prefer a phone game to play to the mediums strengths rather than just replicating what exists already for consoles.

I came to this a few years after it released and enjoyed it. There was a decent game in it, but the hub was crazy weird and it was riddled with bugs still. I played for a few hours and couldn’t regress. Shame as the idea was quite sound.

I think it’s amazing value, especially for Extra. I like to play all types of games and I have a massive backlog. I don’t ever buy new games, I just wait for them to come on the service eventually. I just sub to this and for the price of 2 new games a year, I can access a huge amount.

It’s roasting the in the UK at the moment, that doesn’t help.

Mine always did this for Jurassic Park Evolution 2 for some reason. I think it’s also just some games.

Having great fun on the Breakthrough mode in Battlefield 2042, total chaos.

Helldiving for Liberty.

Is this just pressing x to collect plants, and then using them to craft consumables. Not really much of an experience in game, or indeed anything new gameplay wise that hasn’t been in open world games for years. Hoping to be proved wrong and they add something of substance to it.

I remember playing the original jumping flash demo disc over and over when it first came out. Loved it. A VR version would be absolute motion sickness hell but I’d be there for it.

I liked it the first time round, but this looks far far worse than I was expecting. It’s showing its age.

I started playing HD2 this week and having a great time.

Tencent is a terrible company though.

Have played this demo for a bit and really liked it. It’s a LOT of jank, but it’s quite relaxing.

I’ve been wanting to get into this game for a while. Strangley now I feel I waited too long and it’s going to be too overwhelming as a new player. A ridiculous reason to not pick it up I know, and I shall be partaking soon but the enormity of it makes me anxious!

They fumbled this massively when they closed a successful beta for a year. They should have just made that the game, then been a bit more generous with mtx and the massive roster of characters they had, and it could have been a hit.

Still waiting for a PS Plus release.

I like the braking point mode, but otherwise it’s just exactly the same game as last year. Hard to see what else they’ve really changed.

I know games are subjective and people talk about bad months a lot, but for me this really is one of the worst months I’ve seen.

How do discounts on hardware work, assume it’s only through the official Sony PS store, or how does it filter down into something like Amazon where it’s already cheaper anyway.

My controller is so stick drift broken I can’t play many things with menus, so will probably just be watching tv until payday and I can get a new one.

I do enjoy seeing what people play though. Such a wide range of stuff from over the years.

If they were pre-recorded set lines then Scott Lawrence would definitely have more of an argument if they used AI to speak them. As this is AI generated lines made to sound like a voice, then why wouldn’t they use James Earl Jones voice.

I wouldn’t say Arc Raiders has stolen its thunder considering you’ve only tagged that game in one article this year. It’s a relatively unknown game.

Stealing assets is a thing though, and it does happen. At some point you need to trust your staff and you can’t check everything everyone does. However, how you react to it is key. Behaving like this just screams unorganised management.

I’m there for Gloomhaven but wow the rest is absolute tripe.

Very glad it’s successful and I watched it all. I wouldn’t watch any more though, I just didn’t like any of the characters and have no drive to see what happens to them. If they all got killed by Deathclaws then it wouldn’t bother me.

Got to be Morrowind surely? Oblivion sales have shown there’s a market for Elder Scrolls.

@DarthOreo I didn’t say all games developers should quit open world games, I said anyone looking to make games that are a similar style to GTA - open world crime games ala Mafia, Saints Row, must now be thinking what’s the point? How they can compare with 10 years of development with Rockstar money behind it?

By all means do something different - like Mafia are doing - or countless other open world games do. But my point is Rockstar have nailed a crime open world game. Nothing else comes close.

Any open world game must be looking at GTA6 now and thinking ‘How can we compete with that?’

Just leave the sandbox crime world to them. This seems a far more sensible approach which gamers have appreciated.

Without 60fps it’s pointless.

It’s only my opinion but balatro is a boring repetitive game with terrible graphics. You can see the whole game within 5 minutes. It’s awful.

I’ve been obsessed with Forager, but I have all the islands and it’s become a bit too grindy now.

I have 2 remaining games on my backlog - Battlefield 1 and Robocop. So probably one of those!

I have loved every Borderlands, but this doesn’t look good gameplay wise.

As a massive Borderlands gameplay fan, I thought this looked a bit slow and janky, hopefully it’s smoother in time. Could probably help if the person playing was competent and/or turned up their controller sensitivity.

I can’t believe that price for Mario Kart. It’s been essentially the same game for 30 years.

Ming boggling they aren’t offering the upgrade to ps plus versions. Can’t imagine many people paying full price if they already gave it on plus.

Hopefully not. Had it before on Plus, at least the original which I understand is pretty much the same as the remaster, so it doesn’t really feel like a full proper addition.

On the final missions of Veilguard. I’ve really come to enjoy all the characters in the team and it’s quite moving.

Also enjoying It Takes Two with my boy.

Finally I downloaded Forager, so will give that a try.

I can’t even find the upgrade version on the store. I can download the PS4 version, pay £45 for the remastered version, but nothing else.
