The ever-reliable billbil-kun has shared one of January 2026's PS Plus Essential monthly games, just hours before Sony is due to make its official announcement.
According to the leaker, who has accurately reported on PS Plus via Dealabs countless times in the past, one of next month's complimentary titles will be Need for Speed Unbound.
Assuming the leak is legitimate, Need for Speed Unbound will be one of the three games made available to PS Plus members at all tiers. It's not yet known what the other games are, but Sony should be making its announcement later today.
Need for Speed Unbound is the latest game in the arcade racing series, developed by Criterion Games. It launched to good reviews, although its use of cartoonish visual effects turned out to be a love-it-or-hate-it choice.
The game will be ready to claim starting Tuesday 6th January, 2026, so you'll be able to make your own mind up.
