Re: Crimson Desert Update 1.03 Out Now on PS5, Get the Patch Notes Here

I was on the fence and admittedly I'm not all that far in, but it's been enjoyable so far.

Two sides of the coin can have some merit on this, yeah we'd all love games to be finished but let's be honest, how often does that happen nowadays.

Tha nature of our online world mean games can be rushed for the shareholder value on a specific date and finished later.

At least the devs are working on the issues and listening to the users. We all know there are times out there where the Devs have abandoned too quick, or been unable to polish the turd, so to speak

Re: Huge Crimson Desert Updates Teased as Dev Plans Boss Fight Replays and Difficulty Settings

Dudditz09

This one has me intrigued but the time it demanded was off-putting, I find myself more into shorter games these days however, I find myself somewhat unfortunately signed off work on medical leave, so have bit the bullet despite the mixed reaction.

Only just fired it up so just trying to figure out... Well most stuff.

Arguably could have been delayed from what I have read but glad to see the Devs are at least busy fixing bugs.

Re: Talking Point: What Are Your PS5 New Year's Resolutions?

Dudditz09

I think I got most of my enjoyment from gaming in 2025 in Indies, AA and strategy games.

A lot of the 100+ hour, open world, fetch quest games that we have become used to no longer do it for me anymore, probably with exceptions here and there.

For example I enjoyed GoT well enough back when I first played it, however, we good as it was, these days, the thought of a game like Yotei does absolutely nothing for me.

So probably to just focus more on what I enjoy at the minute and look for the innovation in the indie/AA markets.

I'll give Epic Mickey a try, almost bought it a couple of times. My indecision has paid off.

Already own NFS, been a while since I have played it but it was decent enough.

I'll add Core Keeper to the list of Essential games added to my library to remain unplayed

Re: Poll: Did You Buy a PS1 at Launch?

Dudditz09

I remember getting it for Christmas the year it launched, what a machine, I loved it.

Wasn't long before an illicit trade sprung up at school, with one lad selling games for £5 you could play using the paper clip trick.

Re: Round Up: Total Lack of Mafia: The Old Country PS5 Reviews Is a Red Flag

Dudditz09

I'll likely still pick it up after we get some impressions on console performance, I enjoyed 1 and 2 (never bothered with 3) and am bored to tears of games expecting weeks of my time to complete them, and open worlds full of filler that adds little.

I love pretty much anything to do with the Italian Mafia and a focussed, linear story with that setting is right up my street.

Re: Rumour: Sony to Put More First-Party PS5 Games on Xbox

"Corporation changes strategy to make more money"

Hardly surprising, couldn't really care less, if they do. Hardly makes a compelling point to own either console however, and given they are pretty much just less powerful, convenient PCs with a few bells and whistles, I wonder if the inevitable will be in time they will both abandon hardware and focus on dev/publishing.

Re: PS Plus Essential Games for August 2025 Announced

Dudditz09

I've nearly bought Lies of P a million times but then remember it's a Soulslike and I don't have the patience in my old age to master them.

But I will definitely be giving it a try, with the intention of buying the DLC if I get along with it

Other 2 games, meh

Still a cracking month though

Re: Best inFAMOUS Games

Man, how I loved those first two games.

I actually had the first, played about 10 mins and traded it.

Bought it back a couple of years later and loved it.

Second Son was OK but those first two were fantastic.

Re: Hands On: MindsEye Is a Boring Mess

Dudditz09

Glad I skipped this, have watched a few let's plays this morning and it looks awful performance, frames rates, bugs.

Hopefully in a year or so we will be looking at it a bit differently with a bit of work. But can't see me parting with cash for this effort any time soon

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 583

Dudditz09

Completed The Precinct, very enjoyable game so have now moved on to Deliver at all Costs... Which is enjoyable enough, could be better though... So much loading.

Also sprinkling in some FH5 and will be looking to fire up a new campaign on Civil 7 on the PC seeing as a new patch is out.

And my new Chroma Dual Sense just arrived so will need to give that a bit of use.

Have a good one!

Bank holiday weekend baby!

The Precinct for me, gonna get that finished up today hopefully, have enjoyed it so far, really fun game and been ideal this week WFH, can just pop on, do a shift over lunch.

I have finally caved and bought FH5 despite already having played it to death, so will no doubt he firing that up.

Also picked up Deliver At All Costs this week as well, once I am finished up with The Precinct that will be next.
