Re: Out Today: The Witcher 3's Free PS5 Upgrade Is Available Now

Dudditz09

Downloaded it at midnight ready for this morning. Got a few hours on it.

Not really had any issues bar what @KundaliniRising333 mentioned about flickering in RT mode, but I had to turn that off anyway as the 30fps felt brutal, much better in performance mode. Looked good in RT mode though, just can't hack 30fps.

Enjoying the struggle of getting used to the clunky combat but it will come back to me.

Quick casting is a huge improvement, just waiting on muscle memory to kick in so as I'm not casting Aard when I need Igni etc.

Not a fan of the new camera, had to revert back to the old way.

Improved load times are also nice.

I'm a happy bunny, been looking forward to another playthrough and happy with the improvements

Re: PS Plus Essential Games for December 2022 Available to Download Now

Dudditz09

I've never gotten round to ME so looking forward to them.

I'll add Biomutant and Devine Knockout to my library knowing full well I'll never play them cause neither look all that interesting IMO.

December is looking like a good month, between this, TW3 Complete Edition, a new Cities Skylines DLC, still got to finish Frontiers, holiday will see some PGA 2k22 with the old man, me and the weeman are getting a Steam Deck for Xmas (I obviously know this, he doesn't), plenty of gaming on the cards.

Re: Poll: Did You Buy The Callisto Protocol?

Dudditz09

I was gonna pre order then didn't, then would probably have bought today if the reviews weren't so iffy, but they were so I didn't.

I'll probably pick it up once it's sub £30, I'm in no rush, plenty to play and plenty coming up that interests me, would have had to knock it out the park for me to get it today really.

Re: Upcoming PS5, PS4 Games for December 2022 and January 2023

Dudditz09

I'll see what the reviews are like for Callisto Protocol, I'll have The Witcher to work through this month anyway so I'm not really in any rush and might wait for a sale.

Otherwise, quite interested in Forspoken, will see when it gets closer to release. If Monster Hunter is a go for January then I'll most likely be picking that up

Re: Poll: Do You Care About 60fps on PS5?

Dudditz09

It's not a deal breaker for me but I've found now I'm more used to 60fps, I find going back to 30fps can be quite jarring.

I'll generally pick frame rate over graphics if there is an option nowadays

Re: Gigantic GTA 6 Leak Confirmed Real as Devs Show Support for Rockstar

Dudditz09

From a selfish point is of view I find it fascinating to see some of the raw, behind the scenes stuff that these leaks offer, early versions etc and I can appreciate them for what they are, early works, rough around the edges, subject to change, possibly in big ways.

But in the grand scheme of things, it's really 💩 for devs when their work is leaked like this, for a multitude of reasons.

It would be grand if people didn't do this sort of thing though, it really doesn't help anyone, it will probably just lead to more delays.

Re: Reaction: PS5 Price Hike a Sobering Sign of the Times

Dudditz09

Is it surprising? No, not really. As the article has said, everything is going up and gaming obviously isn't immune from increased production costs etc.

Still galling however to see hundreds of millions, even in to the billions, of profit being made across various sectors/industries and the little man is the one to bear the burden.

But let's not get too political.

Their delcine in sales surely comes as no surprise what with lockdowns/restrictions easing across the world, that was an artificial bump and you would hope people at the top are smart enough to realise that. Is it a good enough reason to bump the price? I'd say not, surely it's more of a correction. But then that's not gonna fly with the shareholders.

I'm also on the fence as to whether there is justification in terms of the product itself. See, the price rise doesn't effect me, I got mines day 1 and whislt I do enjoy my PS5, I'd hardly say it's a compelling offer at this moment.

Most of the big games have spanned the generational divide. The ones that have been PS5 exclusive, well the ones I have played, I'd hardly say would be enough to sell me on the console alone. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed them but I still think Astro is the best exclusive I have played and that was a tech demo effectively.

As the article says also, bar Spiderman and Wolverine, do we have anything major on the horizon that will draw in the punters? Exclusives I mean, first party.

But then it's a luxury purchase, not essential like electricity, food or petrol, so really, whilst it's not great, in the grand scheme of things there are far bigger issues in society at the minute (yeah I know, it's a gaming site, but still...)

Re: Tiger Woods Tees Off on PGA Tour 2K23's PS5, PS4 Cover

Dudditz09

Looking forward to this, could do with a new golf game to play with the old man.

Hopefully a bit of competition in the market with EA making a come back might push them both to release great games, although I'm not optimistic about EA given its EA and their last effort with Rory was horrendous

Re: Poll: Is PS Plus Premium Good Enough?

Dudditz09

I chose not to get Premium, I still have all the old consoles (Excluding Vita) and whilst I'm not at all big on retro gaming, if I ever feel the need I can just crack out a game and play it on whatever system, or pick it up cheap enough.

Because of that, Premium offered nothing for me but I would be hugely disappointed if I had subbed, it seems to offer barely anything (streaming and trials? No thanks)

Extra seems to be where it's at, I know Premium cost wise isn't a huge amount more annually but even for that relatively small amount, I still don't see it as anywhere close to worth it.

Hope for those tied in it gets better.

Re: Press X for Trophies Is a Sad Indictment of PS5, PS4 Today

Dudditz09

I personally couldn't care less about trophies, such a pointless addition to gaming IMO but some people get proper worked up about them so fair enough.

If people want to buy these and there is some sort of market for them, I'm sure Sony is happy to keep them there and take there, albeit small, cut.

Can't see how it really harms anyone them being there.

Re: Nearly 80% of All PS5, PS4 Games Are Bought Digitally

Dudditz09

I'm digital only, I don't care for a collection of discs taking up space and they just act as validation checks anyway as far as I am aware.

The only things I buy nowadays in physical form is music, for albums I really like, and books, save for a few kindle efforts hear and there.
