It's a particularly busy weekend of new console releases and Summer Game Fest. Here's what we're playing when we have a minute to ourselves.
Aaron Bayne
I'm super excited to say I'll be playing Death Stranding 2: On the Beach this weekend!
Graham Banas
As I finally whittle away at my eye-watering backlog, I'm torn on what to start next. I finally played the old GameCube version of 007: Everything or Nothing, and I think the next item on my list may be the Silent Hill 2 remake. But I hear Astro Bot calling my name, too! Maybe I'll start both?

Jamie O'Neill
I own Cyberpunk 2077 on both my PlayStation systems, plus a certain nifty new handheld that released last Thursday now, too. Lucky me!
Liam Croft
I'm playing Death Stranding 2: On the Beach for review, and that's all I can say.
Sammy Barker
I'll be noodling away in the new Zenless Zone Zero update this weekend, which is a game I really can't get enough of lately.
What games are keeping you busy this weekend, then? Do you have anything in particular on the agenda? Let us know in the comments section below.

Absolutely hammered The Division this week with @CaptD. Finished off the campaign and most of the way through a hard playthrough too. Gonna try and finish that off today and maybe a first venture out into the Dark Zone too 😬. Really good game though and… yet another Ubisoft game that I’ve thoroughly enjoyed. Happy weekend squarepushers!
This weekend I am mostly playing:
PS5
GTA:online for a bit of fun with friends
Days Gone: Remastered
Balatro (trying for those pesky trophies)
Crow Country (finally bought it!)
Sunday will be mainly just trying my hardest to finish Silent Hill 2 as my mate is impatiently waiting for me to give his copy back to him haha.
Enjoy your gaming weekend everyone!
I will be all over Oblivion Remastered getting those final trophies for my 80th platinum. And then jumping on some Destiny 2 crucible. Happy Gaming All.
Glad I was right about the Lies of P DLC dropping at Summer Games Fest. I’ll polish off Lords of the Fallen then dive into that. Enjoy the weekend everyone.
With the Clair Obscur platinum finally in the bag (thanks for the optional boss tips @Kraven), anything is going to be a disappointment by comparison - so I figured it's the perfect time to start Dragon Age: The Veilguard! So far it's way better than I expected after all the negative commentary, and I can already see myself enjoying it through to conclusion.
AC Shadows on the back burner for now with 50 hours played, and Balatro on standby as always.
Plodding on - literally - with the uniquely brilliant Death Stranding on PS5. Utterly bonkers and I love it its been in my backlog for years !
Also, the new RTS Tempest Rising on PC - this is superb, brings back memories of the classic Westwood years. Will be one of my GOTY for sure.
I've also bought and made a start on Tainted Grail Fall of Avalon thanks to the guys on here and enjoying it - very clunky but I'm a sucker for this type of game !
Have a great weekend guys and gals ❤️
@graymamba I was out with a friend for beers yesterday and we spent a while debating getting back into The Division together - thanks for reminding me how good that game is.
I will finally complete Final Fantasy 16.
My PS5 says I’m on 97% of the story. I have finished all side quests, finished all the hunts (thanks for the location guide Push Square) and have soaked in enough of the world to say I’m ready to finish it.
So I will wait for the kids to fall asleep, pour myself a glass of wine, and enjoy the ending.
Other than that. Monster Hunter Wilds.
@JonnyAces ...80 Platinums ? Wow, kudos. Puts my paltry 16 in the shade 😅😅
Monster Hunter Wilds, Street Fighter 6, Fatal Fury COTW, WWE 2K25, Stellar Blade, Disney Dreamlight Valley, and Capcom Fighting Game Collection 2. Ok, I probably won’t be able to squeeze in all of those games but those are the ones I want to jump into at least.
Sold my Switch and got Switch 2 for a discount. Fantastic system recognised my Switch games no problem. Currently playing Xenoblade chronicles X and Ace Attorney Investigations
Got my Oblivion plat last week and im slamming Days Gone Remaster. Not sure what to play before Death Standing 2 comes out, but i might finish off Doom 2016 and maybe Eternal ready for Doom Dark Ages in a couple of months, hopefully on sale.
Have a great weekend folks!
After slating the price and content im now embarassed to say i bought Arcade Archives 2 Ridge Racer ps5 and glad i did. The port is fantastic, very smooth and plenty of extra modes, time attack, high score mode, caravan mode. Nostalgia hit me hard (RR was my 1st game on playstation back in 94) Platinumed the game last night and definitely a game i will keep returning to for a few laps 👍
Other than that still murdering away at Maniac and arresting anything with a heartbeat in The Precinct.
Not jealous of Aaron and Liam at all...
For me I'll be digging into Lies of P: Overture on PS5, as well as continuing to enjoy South of Midnight on Xbox
Oooh Miyazakiiiii! There's a new Art Direction challenger in town, oh Metaphoorr!! There's a new Sound challenger in town. Best video games of all time - there's a new member now --- claiRRR obscuRRR! Don't remember the last time a game made me dance in my seat in the middle of battle. What incredible art, gameplay, sound, everything. Quality wise this is AAA with an AA budget. Hats off to Sandfall, respect!
Alan Wake 2. It's bats**t crazy but it looks absolutely gorgeous when playing.
Fired up the Xbox and saw that Baldur's Gate 1 & 2 EE and Metaphor: ReFantazio were on Game Pass so I've downloaded those.
Wanted to properly start Cyberpunk 2077 on Steam but will wait for the announced latch. So I guess itll be Monster Hunter Wilds and finish Fire Emblem Warriors on Switch this weekend.
Mario Kart World, Cyberpunk 2077 and Fortnite on my shiny new Switch 2
Besides that I want to test some Switch 1 games like Super Mario Odyssey and Link’s Awakening.
Hello there fellow gamers;
This weekend will be the first of many that I´ll be spending playing Switch 2. I absolutely love this system already, especialy how big and hi-res the screen is, and how it improves most Switch games performance and visuals.
All this to say I´ll be playing The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild, again, Switch 2 Edition this time around...... And some Mario Kart World;
And since Team Ninja decided to drop an Alpha demo of Ni-Oh 3, I´ll be playing that one as well on my Playstation 5......
And then Lies of P Overture dlc droped as well, so I have to play that on my Xbox Series X
Also will be checking out all the gaming events of this week.
It´s not E3, but it kinda feels like it and I think it´s great.
What an amazing week for gaming all around.
Cheers everyone and happy gaming weekend to us all
I'm still playing Assassins Creed Shadows with over 100 hours now spent on it and still loving it!
After that amazing Resi 9 reveal last night I'm tempted to start PS Plus Alone In The Dark a go!
I will be continued playing one of the best video games ever made in the excellent red dead redemption. John Marston is one of the best protagonist ever.the story.the gameplay.the graphics.the soundtracks .the enemies is excellent. I
will also continued playing one of the best video games ever made in the instant hit the amazing nioh with all the dlcs.william is a amazing protagonist.the gameplay.the graphics. The story. @KingPev haha cheers mate. We all have to start somewhere dude. You'll be hitting 50 before you know it. They soon rack up.
@darkswabber so jealous 😫
It's more Fantasy Life i for me; still crazy addictive it's not even funny lol. I recently unlocked Artist (last of the 14 Lives), so am currently raising all lives to Expert rank before continuing with more story (might even reach Master Farmer in the process if luck is on my side).
Happy gaming weekend y'all!
Helldivers 2! For democracy!!
Very jealous of those who have the switch 2 looks amazing.
I'm hoping my Doom the dark ages copy arrives today if not I'll plod on with the very fun ride on Revenge of the savage planet
A lot of Balder’s Gate 3. And some Lost Records: Bloom & Rage on the side. Enjoying both in their own way, really.
Still very much into star renegade.
I'm playing:
Season 3 balance update is here along with Elena. I'm still adapting with perfect parry and throw tech change. But the balance feels quite unfair for my boy Ed. He got nerfed again because some people can't handle his charge Flicker after forward throw. But holy hell Ryu got super buff because some loud scrubs thinks he needs it despite Blaz and EndingWalker got 2nd at major tourney using Ryu. Elena herself is fun to play and has quite fresh playing style. I got her to Master rank but ngl she's quite hard to use because some of her akward normals.
I'm now facing the second team Eclipse. The music in this game are bangers.
Outside gaming, i just watched Predator: Killer of Killers and it's awesome. Any Predator fans needs to watch it. I'm glad Dan Trachtenberg brought fresh ideas to Predator franchise. Can't wait for Predator: Badlands.
Have a great weekend everyone 🍻
This week I managed to finish Pipistrello and the Cursed Yoyo. It is a game that never outstayed its welcome, and its Metroidvania and Zelda-like qualities were incredibly well done. It took me about 17 hours, with completion rate of 78%. I feel quite satiated with my experience.
Subsequently, I was perusing my back catalog of games and saw Sea of Stars. I then realized Sabotage Studios released their hefty free expansion/DLC, Throes of the Watchmaker a week or so ago, and I decided to redownload the game.
I have beaten it before, but I noticed I missed a ton of optional content. Once I booted the game back up, I was immediately drawn back into this gorgeous world, almost without missing a beat. Within a couple of hours I mopped up all side bosses and collectibles, and even got the platinum trophy for it.
It is truly an outstanding retro-inspired JRPG. And, having not played it since release, all of the patches and updates have made it an even more enjoyable experience; it is more streamlined, in a positive way. As of right now, I’m a couple of hours in the DLC and it’s been sublime. I’m really looking forward to the new classes, abilities, and story.
I’m not sure what I want to play next. I have my eye on two games: MindsEye (I honestly think it looks solid despite the hooblah) and Blades of Fire. I’m not looking for anything special - just a simple spray and pray or hack and slash. Really, I’m just biding my time until Death Stranding 2 releases.
Currently staring at the consoles and deciding whether to do something very stupid. That stupid thing is taking another year of PS Plus Extra/Premium and Re-subscribing to Game Pass 🤦♂️ I'm in a total gaming state of confusion where I don't really know what to play or what ill be playing, considering summer is coming (supposedly) and I know I will be gaming less avidly if the weather is nice, but also pondering if there's a game I can finish within a couple of weeks (a couple of hours a day) that takes my fancy before that weather arrives.
I really suck at gaming if there's no one game (prefereably an RPG) I want to commit my gaming time to that I know I will get finished 🫣 AC Shadows (definitely not an RPG) hasn't quite grabbed me as much as it usually would for that comfort gaming hit, and playing it after KCD2 was not wise at all.
Someone inspire me 🤷♂️😭🙃
I’m currently packing for my holiday, so I’m playing duck detective for something easy and light after finishing TLOU:2.
I am playing Dungeon Siege 3 on PS3. I came back to use PS3 and finish games that I haven't done.
I am still having 1/3 of the excellent hitman triology on psvr2 to get through plus the additional targets,The Mid Night Walk also on psvr2 but I am likely waiting for the next patch, and then I started Alien Rogue Incursion on psvr2, which really surprised me. It is a very solid, very atmospheric game. I suppose it improved quite a bit with the patches it got since launch.
@Bentleyma ...still one of the best games ever made. I keep a WiiU just to play this twice a year
Destiny 2 The Final Shape baby! 😁🔥
Finished the Nioh 3 Alpha Demo with 100% completion on map and just beat the bonus mission on the next difficulty. Best demo the last 20 years in my opinion. Can't wait for the full game to come next year. They usually release in Feb/March so I hope this game will too. Tomorrow I probably play some PoE2. Or farm some more "titles" in Nioh 3 demo
Its been mostly Doom - The Dark Ages for me this last week. I’m a couple of chapters from the end and I’m enjoying it. Its good old fast paced action fun with some great level design. The shield is a fun addition, however I do feel it gets a bit to arcadey with different colored attacks for deflecting etc but its a minor complaint. Also, rest assured that even if you find yourself in the belly of the Beast, you’ll find Sentinel Shrines there so you can upgrade your gear. A bit less of that sort of thing would have been better imo. But all in all, very fun 🙂
Lucky enough to pick up a Switch 2, so most of Weekend will be dedicated to Mario Kart World (online races are intense and awesome) and Street Fighter 6. Will also mix in a little South of Midnight which is brilliant. Happy gaming everyone.
@Zeke68 how did you beat the monster that look like uncut penis in Nioh 3??
What am I playing this weekend? Go on have a guess people..answers on a postcard..
More Roadcraft. Such a relaxing game.
Have a great weekend!
Started the alone in the dark with the dude from stranger things yesterday so mainly that, along with some Roadcraft.
I'm still playing Deliver at all Costs, it's fun enough, not great. Hopefully get it finished up the weekend.
Will no doubt jump on FH5 at some point.
And I quite fancy firing up the PC and Civ 7, not played it since launch, will check out the new patches and such like
Into chapter 20 of DOOM TDA so hopefully have that finished this weekend, also chipping away at Balatro got my last planet cards, 100m hand and a couple more jokers unlocked only 4 from having the full set of those now.
I'm finishing my Yakuza 5 playthrough, doind the last substories and some optional content. The huge Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, that I only scratched the surface. A long journey ahead (love it). Also, reminding me how great the story of the Legacy of Kain games are, playing Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 2. A great weekend guys!!
@Ravix I have recently made the same poor decision: Trying to play Assassins Creed Shadows after KCD2. I love the setting, I love that they have embraced the two character system with a brawler and an assassin but I just am not enjoying it overall as much as Valhalla and I cant quite put my finger on why.
I'll finish the GT7 weekly races, then play some Balatro. The serious gaming has taken a little rest after finishing the main story of Avatar, just a couple of weeks before Mindseye comes out. It's not long now
After finishing watching the last of us season 2 I got the itch to replay part 2. I’m onto Hillcrest now and my word is this game stunning on my Pro.
Detroit Become Human. Really enjoying this. Appreciate it is more interactive movie than game but I am definitely sucked in. It looks great too!
Making my way though my recent pickup of Expedition 33. Really enjoying it so far.
@GeeEssEff yep, that's pretty much it. I like everything about it that I normally would I suppose, but I kind of knew it would happen. I'd say I'll leave it until winter, but then it will be directly following Ghost of Yotei 😭
That comfort food of base clearing, riding around the countryside and then doing some main quests isn't really satisfying me when it follows a game like KCD2 where you could talk to any NPC and it possibly lead to a genuinely great time. Rather than another checklist.
I did start to really enjoy using the Kanabo with Yasuke, while having Naoe do pretty much everything else. But I think the main quests got a bit spread out and there is definitely too many damn circles of assassination targets to follow. It got a bit ridiculous with the amount of people on our list to kill. There's about 6 people in the whole of Japan that aren't evil, a guard, or a generic mindless NPC, it seems 😭
I think I might pick it up and see if it's possible to just plough on with the main to get back into it 🤷♂️ if not it will have to wait until about February, I guess.
@Bentleyma love that game. So good
Having a really good time with another crab's treasure
I'll be playing Nightreign myself, but I'm feeling the need to take a break from games for a week or so and read something instead.
@Nekomichu A friend of mine has been playing that all week. She absolutely loves it.
Playing Indy Jones and having a ball. Just need to play it as though you are Indy and you can ignore the Bethesda-style gameplay
Steelrising

Just finished this enjoyable Soulslike set to some crazy alternative French Revolution timeline with robots. The game has some issues but is still the best Spiders-developed game I've played so far. The Nemesis Claws and a build that focused on regaining health with counters worked very well for me.
The Forest (in VR)

Just started this survival game and planning to play some co-op with friends. The control scheme is very weird, from a time before devs had figured out good controls for VR, but otherwise its an awesome, creepy journey into Cannibal-infested woodlands.
Mario Kart World, Puyo Puyo Tetris 2S and Welcome Tour for sure.
I should finish some PS5 games, but I’ve remembered how much I like playing games on Switch, so I think I might just play Switch 2 this weekend, but I’ll be honest… the multiplayer stuff will wear off quick for me.
@JonnyAces How is the platinum trophy in that game? Can you get all trophies in a single playthrough? I’m assuming some are tied to guilds/quests - can you ever lock yourself out of joining those guilds past a certain point, or can you do it essentially any time?
@Ravix Yeh I think you have hit the nail on the head there. Previous Ass Creed games have kind of varied the main and side missions a bit more whereas most of them in Shadows seem to boil down to either "Assassinate a powerful enemy" or "Kill 100 less powerful enemies"
I think the levelling seems quite slow as well which doesn't help matters but I will plough on with it anyway...If I drop it now I will never come back to it! Have a great weekend whatever you settle on.
Decided to go for that ultra-fast-skipping-all-dialogue extra playthrough of Cyberpunk since I missed out on platinum by one trophy after 150 hours.
Also decided to go full in on Alan Wake by buying AW Remastered, Control Ultimate Edition and AW 2 Deluxe Edition, all together for € 42 in the current sale.
Nioh 3 demo. This game is so good so far, what I love most is the open ended areas, I get so overwhelmed but in a good way on which direction to go 1st lol. Combat is gonna take a bit to get used to tho but for the most part is still awesome. I can't wait to explore this game fully
And also Code Vein with a friend. We've been really enjoying this one, imagine our surprise that they reveal a sequel 😂
1. Symphonia (PC Game Pass)
2. Nioh 3 Demo
3. Lies of P: Overture
Continuing to catch-up on the PS4 library.
Finished Ghost of Tsushima with the platinum (amazing visuals and vibe, fun varied combat, satisfying story arc, repetitive and sometimes restrictive quest structure, too many random encounters and side activities).
PS4 - Days Gone
PSP - NHL 07
I'm off work for a couple days so I'll be catching up on my Sleep Backlog 😴. But also continuing HZD Remastered as I'm starting to get back into the story. I put Ghost of Tsushima on pause for the time being.
Have a great weekend everybody!
Mortal Kombat 1 on playstation portal!
I'll be digging into Zenless Zone Zero's new update. My Yixuan pulls were pretty painful, but I did finally get Von Lycaon out of it, as well as Grace from the free character selector and Nekomata from the standard banner. Meaning I finally have ever standard S rank.
Currently binging band of brother's so after that maybe Sniper Elite 4.
@Ravix Have you tries the Demos for Octopath Traveler 2 or Unicorn Overlord? They might be different enough to entice you and there are fairly long (3hrs and 8hrs respectively) so you can get a good feel for the games.
I bought a new TV this week. Sam's had a nutty deal on a 65" OLED - $650 (or $710ish after tax). It's the nicest display I've ever had. I'm thinking about buying a second one for the other room.
I'm just dipping in and out of games to see how they look, and it's been wild. I may continue Soul Hackers 2 or I may just go ahead and jump into Clair Obscure after today's work is done. Last night, I took a spin through some boss rush battles in Stellar Blade and a stroll through Silent Hill. Yes, I died in both. It's been a while, okay?
It's storming outside today, so my plans to clear up some rogue foliage around my property is sunk. I'll work in the garage a bit and clean the house. The master bath toilet has a broken flange, and it's been on my 'to do' list to take it off, repair it, and remount it - I just hate dealing with the old wax.
Have a great weekend everybody.
Still grinding Khazan and finally making progress.
Tried out Cairn and it’s relaxing and stressful at the same time.
Otherwise all my time will be on Nioh 3 Alpha and the Lies of P DLC
Still playing Expedition 33. Just got to Act 3.
Great game. The hype is real.
I am jumping like a mad monkey to different games. Thanks to Ps Plus Premium.
I have played VR and deserve a medal for it. Will try Synapse and Star Wars when the little one sleeps.
Also, I have jumped back in Death Stranding. I just don't understand this game! It is overwhelmingly impenetrable and weird for me.
Back into New Game+ with GOW: Ragnarok
Might also taste a few other games!
Dropped everything and just hammering Mario Kart World. Liking the Switch 2 so far, but the battery feels worse than my ROG Ally.
@IntrepidWombat Nice, enjoy! A new tv can make all the difference.
I’m behind the wheel this weekend in both Mario kart world and forza horizon 5!
@SirSephy LOL, I assume you mean that random outdoor boss with a lot of revenants around it? I died alot but got it when I charged my Guardian Spirit and after I used it I charged it again with amrita crystals and nuked the boss down. 🦾😉✌️
I finally got around to Metaphor!!! Only a few hours in but enjoying it so far!
I have also put in a silly amount of time into the Nioh 3 demo! It is tickling my pickle something fierce!
I'm playing Syberia: The World Before (PS5) and Psychonauts 2 (PC) for my single player fix and Gears of War 4 (PC) campaign for my coop fix with a little bit of Plants vs Zombies: Battle for Neighborville thrown in for my MP fix.
@Kraven platinum is pretty much just story related quests and complete all the guilds. It's a fun and pretty relaxing journey in all honesty. Nothing too strenuous. I haven't come across being time gated from any quests/trophies. But still need to start the Brotherhood quest line, so hopefully that isn't an issue. Overall I would definitely recommend it. It's still a timesink by itself. But overall a very chill journey.
@Ravix Given the last two games you played I'd guess an RPG fan? If you haven't already I think Clair Obscur Expedition 33 might give you the fix if you are cool with turn based. Its also on Game Pass.
I played a bit of Tainted Grail on Steam Deck yesterday. If I have any other game time it’ll either be Nightreign or I might finally start RE7. I’ve never been on the RE hype train, but Requiem looked great and made me want to play the newer ones.
@IntrepidWombat "Flange" i love that word 🤣
@Jrs1 Hah, it's a good one, isn't it?
Might buy Resident Evil Village. It's less than £9. Is it worth jumping into? I have just got a Pro as well as a new OLED TV.
Im at the end of monster hunter stories 2 on ps5 almost 100% and is impossible to put down the controller this is soo good
@IntrepidWombat Indeed sir lol
@Joshua2255 Hell yes get stuck in son 👍
Just platinumed Alone In The Dark so that’s what I played this weekend. Nice quick, easy plat thanks to PS+ Extra. Hope y’all enjoy your games!
South Park Tower Defense, Futurama and Trials Rising for me
Been playing Forza Horizon 5. But currently doing the 24 hour Nurniburg Ring Combined on iRacing with my buddies. Good times
Fantasy Life i is all consuming. I keep telling myself Ill get back to other titles, but theres always just a little thing or quest I need to do first!
Whatever you are playing this weekend, I hope you have fun!
@Jaxx420 yeah, I've been thinking about keeping E33 for this Autumn/Winter as I like to have a guaranteed great game in the bacn pocket. I'm not sure I'll get stuck in to a great RPG over the summer or not, as there will be stretches where I'm not gaming more than very casually, I guess, and I don't want that to happen if I'm part way through a really great game in case it ruins the flow for me. I just suck at finding games I can complete casually at this time of year and this is when i'm most likely to start and not finish games. I think because I much prefer games that I can immerse myself in, and invest time into just that one game, but that doesn't really suit the season. It's definitely an overthink 🙈😂
I'll probably get Mafia when that is out in August, as it won't be a long commitment. Who knows, maybe Mindseye won't be a total dumpster fire and will fill a void 🤷♂️
I ended up playing a bit more of AC Shadows, but nothing really memorable happened again 🙈 at this point it feels like you start a main quest, but the main quest is just a side quest in disguise. Very much the opposite from a good RPG where side quests are main quests in disguise.
I might have to go for Clair regardless if nothing grabs me though, as literally everyone seems to really like it, and I'm not sure how I avoided FOMO with it already, tbh.
Played the Nioh 3 demo which was enjoyable. I'm not fully convinced on the style switching but I still really enjoyed it, and one shotting the final boss made it even better 🤟
Finished Dragon Age Inquisition on PC which was good but bloated in some areas. A few maps where just bigger than they needed to be and a more direct story would have been better.
Now I'm just started Dragon Age The Veilguard which seems pretty good so far. The intro was great and the combat is fun. Skill trees look to be a big improvement on the previous games with build variety. Looking forward to seeing where it all heads.
Happy gaming weekend everyone
Still not really commited to any new game. I started TLoU Part 2 remastered as I planned to replay this ps5 version for some time. also installed Lies of P and Stellar Blade, but these will have to wait for now as I downloaded Khazan demo from ps store - heard good things about the game and just wanted to try. I also purchased Gris on sale, looks unique and short indie game - played about an hour and it´s really interesting puzzle game.
Whatever you´re playing, have fun!
My mate is coming round later on so we can give the Nioh 3 demo a go. Looking forward to that.
In the meantime, Elden Ring, Suikoden and watching endless rounds of Splitgate, which my son has taken to playing
Doing my best to clear my backlog before Death Stranding 2 comes out, as I will 100% be no life-ing it since DS is my all-time favorite.
Beat Expedition 33 late last night; absolutely incredible stuff and I can't see a world where it isn't GOTY. The layered and complex narrative alone is worth the price of admission.
Now, I'm not sure where to go - do I stay the turn-based route and continue my playthrough of Like A Dragon, or do I push through Doom: The Dark Ages?
Elder Scrolls Online, Star Wars: Outlaws, and Dragon Age: The Veilguard ✌🏾
Sand Land, PoP, and maybe a little more High on Life. Making use of my Plus sub, as always.
Well here we go with another absolutely amazing WAYP. This one is special as this WAYP is quite literally being written on my birthday. Received some genuinely amazing and touching gifts with a massive shoutout to my girlfriend Catalina and her gifts of the Dawntrail artbook and that one SF2 book written by that one Polygon guy I believe? Genuinely don’t deserve such a beautiful and amazing girlfriend like her. Been absent the past couple of WAYPs enjoying long weekends with her actually. The week was some amazing games all around. Mostly Mario and Luigi, Pirate Yakuza, WWE2K25, Clair Obscur Expedition 33, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, Donkey Kong Country Returns HD, Xenoblade Chronicles X Definitive Edition, Atelier Yumia, Fatal Fury City of the Wolves and Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake. Most of the weekend was spent with nothing actually just celebrating the birthday ya know? Rest of the weekend I’m thinking is gonna be some Mario Kart World. Yes I got a Switch 2 as well as MK and Bravely Default HD and Welcome Tour and 100 Line and so so much more like upgrades for the Zeldas. Got all the new amiibos too. Got to play some Mario Kart with my GF and honestly it’s beautiful it’s amazing it’s just the best. She even beat me once or twice and it’s just amazing. Otherwise I’m thinking this week is mostly gonna consist of some Mario and Luigi Brothership, Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake, Tales of Graces F Remastered, Split Fiction, Atelier Yumia, Fatal Fury City of the Wolves, Xenoblade Chronicles X Definitive Edition, WWE2K25, Clair Obscur, Indiana Jones, 100 Line, Bravely Default and so much more for that Switch 2 and Pirate Yakuza. Let’s be legit I’m gonna dote over this Switch like a new child. I’ll even go back and play TOTK as a Switch 2 edition. The wrestling thing this week being Money in the Bank. It was awesome. A great time with my GF. Good choices for Money in the Bank winners Naomi and Seth Rollins. Excellent match with Becky Lynch Vs Lyra Valkyria and the John Cena/ Logan Paul and Cody Rhodes/Jey Uso Tag Match. Just overall great time man. Anime of the week gotta go to My Hero Academia Vigilantes, Guilty Gear Strive Dual Riders, Gundam Gquuuuuux, Let’s go to the Ballpark, Kowloon and Sakamoto Days. Those gotta be my spring picks with special shoutout to Vigilantes it’s kinda peak. Podcasts of this week gotta go to Castle Superbeast, Big Think Dimension, Into The Aether, RPGsites Tetracast, Minnmax, Jeff Gerstmann, Kit and Krysta, Punching Up, Easy Allies, Second Wind, Nextlander, Cultaholic Wrestling, Weapon Wheel Podcast, Let’s Anime and Remap Radio. As always yall stay safe, be cool to each other. Have a totally safe and awesome weekend. Enjoy your Switch 2s if you get one and if you don’t keep that head up and get one ASAP. And of course Happy Gaming.
I restarted my playthrough of The Plucky Squire (PS5), after finally platinuming and 100%ing Bloodborne (PS4).
After I plat The Plucky Squire, I plan on replaying Final Fantasy IX (PS4) and finally playing Night in the Woods (PS4).
I downloaded Heretic and Brutal Heretic RPG. So a lot of that. I'd also like to recommend the mod Diamond Dragon for Doom 2 with the map pack Auger Zenith. If you have Doom 2 already, it's basically like getting an extremely rad cyberpunk fps for free. It's too good.
