Re: Sony Says PS Portal Wasn't Designed to Make a Profit

Dudditz09

It's one of these things that I would likely get and then not use all that much because I would prefer to play my games on the bigger screen, so I don't feel like it worth dropping £200 on really.

And the lack of being able to hook up a Bluetooth headset without purchasing a Sony one is annoying but clearly to push you into buying their headsets. I own a pair of Sony headphones which cost me a decent amount, I'm not about to splash out on anything further.

So yeah, it's really not for me.

Re: GTA 6 Could Be Announced Later This Week for PS5

Dudditz09

I have loved GTA ever since picking up the first one on my old PC.

Created in my home town, I was well under the age for playing it but what a game. I've played everyone since.

Maybe it's my age now, or maybe it the long drawn out "will they/won't they" reveal it this week nonsense that has taken over some aspects of social media, but I'm not feeling the hype for this like I used to. Or the fear it will be a micro transaction filled poop show.

Maybe when it actually get closer to releasing I might be excited.

Re: Marvel's Spider-Man 2 PS5 Director: This Game Is Worth the Money

Dudditz09

I had £20 in stars vouchers and picked up discounted PSN cards so I think I ended up getting the Deluxe Version for around £53.

I'm quite happy with that. And I agree, not every games has to be a slog fest with 100 hours plus.

I love BG3 and another of my faves was the Witcher 3. I'll put in over 100 hours with BG3 and I put in around 200 with TW3. Persona 5 as well took me over 100 hours. But likewise I also found I fell out with AC games because they felt like a slog that was too fatiguing to finish. HZD was the same for me in that regard and I don't even know how long that plays 😂

But at the same time I have just as much fun with a shorter game such as this. Rift Apart was also fairly short but I considered it value for money.

It's not about how many hours, it's about the total package for me, first and foremost I want to have fun and if a game has been fun then I will likely consider it worth the money I have paid.

Re: Marvel's Spider-Man 2 (PS5) - A Familiar But Fantastic Superhero Sequel

Dudditz09

Can't say I was expecting it to be anything too innovative, as many have said, only so much you can do with Spider-Man.

Sounds like there are some decent improvements in there, can't wait to get my mitts on it, had a great time with the first two and there has been a good bit of time since I played them that it won't feel like I have Spidey fatigue.

Re: 8 PS Plus Extra Games for October Leaked Early

Dudditz09

Gotta admit, I'm a bit jealous of anyone who hasn't played it getting to play Disco Elysium for the 1st time.

Honestly, what a treat.

Otherwise I have plenty of game at the moment and coming up, of the games from that list I haven't played, nothing I will be jumping on.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 497

Dudditz09

I've just picked up The Crew Motorfest because I wanted something similar to FH on PS5 and to be fair, I'm enjoying it much more than FH4 & 5 although it cannot get to grips with the planes 😂

So it will be between that and BG3 this weekend for me, the weather is miserable so cant see me stepping outside other than to drag the dogs out.

Hope you all have a good weekend!

Re: Assassin's Creed: Mirage PS5, PS4 Global Unlock Times Revealed

Dudditz09

I loved the early games, found the more recent entries too long winded and bloated, I never did try Valhalla because of that, and the theme for that was right up my street as well.

I'm tempted to give this a go, fancy it as an Xmas pick up to kick back and chill with over the break, hopefully a wee nostalgia kick.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 493

Dudditz09

Baldurs Gate 3, probably a little bit of Baldurs Gate Three to break it up a bit and some BG3 if I get bored of doing that.

In all seriousness I was gonna fire up Starfield today to give it a try but in all honesty, as much as I was quite looking forward to it, my hype for it has wained somewhat because of Baldurs Gate 3. I might get to it a some point but looking at the release schedule over the next month or so, it's fallen so far down my list I can see me never actually getting to it. Looks like just another Bethesda game from what I have seen, not overly concerned that I'll be missing out on much at all if I don't ever get around to it.

Re: Poll: Did You Buy Baldur's Gate 3?

Dudditz09

I have had it since the weekend as I bought the deluxe version and I am loving it, haven't been able to devote a huge amount of time to it but had a good couple of hours tonight.

Looking forward to a quiet weekend to get a decent run at it.

I have a feeling it's going to be one of those games that leaves me feeling like nothing can match it for a while afterwards. Much like when I completed The Witcher 3, took a while for anything to hit the spot after that.

Re: Baldur's Gate 3 (PS5) - One of the Greatest RPGs of Our Time

Dudditz09

I have been playing this since Saturday night and what's really annoying me at this point is that I have a job and kids, cause they mean less play time.

Superb game, I've yet to really scratch the surface but I am loving it so far.

I actually think Starfield can wait at this point, I'm gonna be on BG3 for a while.

Re: Poll: Are You Happy with Your PS Plus Essential Games for September 2023?

Dudditz09

I have no interest in any of them, will no doubt add them all to my library and never play them.

To be fair though I've just started BG3, Starfield in a couple of days, Cyberpunk DLC and with all the changes, that will need a new playthrough, Cities Skylines 2 and Spidey 2 in October. And I'll probably pick up EAFC24 to see what that is like.

So I will have plenty to keep me amused over the next 2 months

Re: PS5, PS4 Owners Are Understandably Irate with PS Plus Price Hike

Dudditz09

I'm out completely once my Extra sub is done, I don't use PS Plus enough to even justify even having essential tbh.

Prices rises are bad enough at the minute, companies the world over recording record profit whilst people struggle. It's price gouging, pure and simple. We accept it so it carries on.

Yes gaming is a luxury and PS Plus will be treat as such by me, hopefully many who are unhappy follow the same train of thought but I doubt it.

I've never been one to overly bash Sony, or any gaming company for that matter, they are business doing business things, you may agree with them, you may not. I own all 3 consoles at the minute, as well as a Steam Deck to scratch my strategy itch when needed, I'm lucky in that regard that I can afford to own them all, I certainly don't fanboy for any console neither, I'm 38 ffs 😂

So it's not a negative on Sony, the state of gaming at the moment is down the toilet at the minute, in my opinion of course.

I have online for all 3 consoles, those days will be ending across the board, maybe with the exception of the Switch as the kid uses it a lot.

Once this gen has run it's course I'll be moving over to PC, Sony hasn't wowed me this gen (same can be said for XBox although I am looking forward to Starfield), there have been a couple of good exclusives but to be honest it's nothing that I couldn't wait to play on a PC down the line.

Re: PS Plus Essential, Extra, Premium Price Increases Announced by Sony

Dudditz09

I'll be honest, I don't feel I get bang for my buck personally for my £83 Extra as I hardly use it, but that's on me, not Sony. Objectively it is probably value for money.

I used it a bit at the start but now, I've been too busy with games I have bought that aren't on the service.

Mines runs until next summer so I'll leave it for now but I won't be renewing, certainly not for £100 and I don't really see much point in jumping on another year right now neither.

Re: Mid-Generation Upgrades Like PS5 Pro 'Aren't All That Meaningful', Says Take-Two CEO

Dudditz09

Not for me at this stage, not viable for me to be buying two of the 'same' console per gen, would be more likely to buy an Xbox (which I generally do later in the gen) just to play the few exclusives that has.

That said if mid term refreshes are now gonna be a thing, which it seems they are, likelihood is I just don't jump on a PS6 at launch (if it happens in a traditional form) and just hang on for a couple of years until the Pro version is released.
