Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 420

Think I'm gonna pick up GT7 again, haven't played it other than to collect my credits. Need to crack on with the final few menus and the last licence.

Other than that, finished Kena this week, was a decent game, great in 60fps. Wasn't blown away but it was enjoyable.

So I'll probably move on to Death Loop as well.

And throw in some Frost Punk for good measure.

Re: Poll: Will You Subscribe to Sony's New PS Plus Tiers?

Dudditz09

Essential for me, purely because I sometimes play online with a couple of mates or my old man.

Old games etc, not for me. I've got my old consoles if I want to play them and my son is an avid collector of retro consoles and games so if I ever feel the need, I'll just make do with that.

It's not overly impressive for the price IMO but it's pretty much entirely what I expected.

At a push I'd maybe go for "Extra" but really, if there is a game I want I'd prefer to just buy it so as I have access to it when I want and not have it tied to the subscription.

Re: This Week Could Be Big for PlayStation, Say Swirling Rumours

Dudditz09

Imagine there will be Spartacus news.

I don't want or expect it to be like game pass but if the more expensive tiers don't include much else than the ability to play older games I'll pass, personally can't see the appeal in going back to the PS1/2 days, whenever I have tried, the games I loved never seem to hold up as well as I remember.

Suppose we will find out soon enough, not expecting anything ground breaking but would love it if they sprung a cracking surprise on us.

Kena for me with a little bit of Frost Punk thrown in as well as GT7, gonna get my boy racer on and put some of those 1m credits kitting out a VW Golf for no real reason.

When the wee man goes to bed I'll nick the Switch and start a Kirby save as well I think, had fun with the demo.

On the off chance I get through Kena I'll move on to Deathloop.

Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Gran Turismo 7?

Dudditz09

As it stands, 6.

It's a good racer, graphics are decent. It's far from a sim IMO.

It would have been higher but you f... about with a major part of the mechanics after the review period and well, it deserves a point deducted.

Maybe it will be amended again, maybe more tracks/races/events will be added to make it feel less samey, I would adjust my score based on that.

But as it stands, a 6 for me.

Re: Cyberpunk 2077 Fans Left Wondering If the Game's Still Getting Two Expansions

Dudditz09

I'm not honestly too bothered, can't see me buying. Completed it at the weekend and to be honest, I can't see me going back to it.

It was a fine game, story was decent, not on par with The Witcher 3 but good enough.

By the end though, I felt like I had spent enough time with it to be satisfied that I am done with it.

For the £20 I paid it was a solid pickup.

Onto the next Witcher game!

Spent the last couple of days wiped out and in bed with tonsillitis.

Feeling better today, I'm on the home stretch with Cyberpunk so finishing that, just downloaded Frost Punk and the season pass (on sale, too cheap to pass up and I love that game).

Have been playing a bit of F.I.S.T over the past week but given up on that, just not vibing with it.

So, finish Cyberpunk, then on to one of Kena, Lost In Random, Death Loop with a little Frost Punk mixed in. Or I might just batter into GTAV properly (again).

Should get back to GT7 but I'm a bit peed off with the whole poop show over the last few days so that can wait just now.

Also, the temptation is there to pick up Elden Ring, although I'm not a fan of Souls games this one does sound amazing and more accessible... But I've got too much to play so I really should just wait for a sale and play what I've got.

Re: Poll: Will You Buy Hogwarts Legacy?

Dudditz09

I have no interest in Harry Potter however this had me tempted until I seen the combat which looks like it lacks something. Couldn't help but notice a few enemies but you seemed to be fighting one at a time.

It stood out enough to me to be quite jarring.

I'll see how it reviews an probably pick it up once it's on sale.

Re: Hands On: Is GTA 5 on PS5 Worth It?

Dudditz09

@themightyant I totally get you on this, the story on the whole was good, great in parts and slow in others... It probably could have been trimmed down.

Anyway, as @Titntin says above, easy £8.75 to spend despite already completing it on the PS3, PS4 and the XBOne.

Started it on Fidelity mode, switched to Performance and now can't go back. Perf mode is silky as you like and still looks good for what it is.

I'll drop in and out, no great urge to batter through it as my main game, but it's fun enough to jump in and out of. Online can take hike, won't be going back to that despite it being free, past experiences have soured me on that.

Said I was gonna play Cyberpunk and GT7.

Said I was gonna try to complete Cyberpunk then maybe start something new, along side GT7.

Didn't play Cyberpunk. Absolutely hooked on GT7. Got all my licences and now going back to get gold on the lessons I haven't got gold on.

Also completed the 1st two sets on missions but also going over these to pick up all the golds.

Totally loving this game at the minute.
