It isn't secrecy, they just don't have anything to announce. It like you expect them to magically develop five AAA games a years. We're early adopters, we always have to wait a bit in order to get the first round of truly new, next gen exclusive titles.
I'm just tired of companies hiring over enthusiastic hosts, and talking to developers - many of who that don't look comfortable in front of a camera. I much prefer the State of Play approach of these streams.
Just a quick suggestion: As someone who doesn't know who this man is and hasn't seen anything you have listed that he has starred in, it would've been nice to at least see a photo of the actor just to get some reference to what Tommy may look like in the show.
@Spyroescape I love hip hop, and only like the occasional rock song. My favourite rock group is Nickelback so that should say more than I need to, lol. But wrestling and rock/metal just go so well together, Marilyn Manson's 'Beautiful People' is still vivid in my memory, purely because of the hours I put in to 'WWF: Shut your Mouth'.
@Crazybuttocks198 It's unfortunate but one of my favourite matches is Kurt Angle Vs Chris Benoit, an absolute masterclass in both athleticism and in-ring storytelling. But it will always be weird for me to watch any of Chris' matches because he was my favourite during the post Attitude era, so when I heard what happened it did hurt in a strange way.
@Crazybuttocks198 I didn't say it was fake, I said the athletes who perform also have to act. But because the WWE is for all intents and purposes a soap opera, they shouldn't treat it like any other sport, they should play up the smoke and mirrors and lean into the campiness. But I am someone who will gladly watch any 2000s Heat over any single match that happens these days, I can't stand wrestling as it currently is. Who wouldn't prefer to watch Rikishi bodypop over seeing Finn Balor perform that stupid foot stomp again.
They need to drop the simulation aspect of these games, it's a sport with predetermined outcomes and athletes who are acting, so they should put more fun and exaggeration.
They also need to simplify the actual controls, I couldn't get used to 2k19, the Smackdown Vs Raw era was probably the best for controls.
@RubyCarbuncle It would only be a shame if developers were still making games worth buying. Vita sadly never had it's Peace Walker, a game you had to play and could only own it on that machine.
It's sad, kinda, but at the end of the day they're spending more than they're making supporting the old consoles, then it makes sense to call it a day and shut them down. Also, I have had many years to buy any of the games I would like to, so if i miss out on Driver San Francisco or whatever, then I didn't really want it enough.
Hopefully, if true, the news is followed by a massive sale on all the titles. Sell what they can for 50 pence a pop and Sony(and whoever publishes the games) would make a nice little sum from the last remaining users of these systems.
I'd love it if Japan's love of portable gaming forced them to make a PSP 3 - 720p display, no cameras or GPS, 2 analogues and 4 shoulder buttons, micro SD storage. A man can dream, folks. A man can dream.
I am seeing the new store on my laptop, its pretty bland tbh but I'm sure, with it being a storefront, that they will tweak and add features when the PS5 is out and everything.
Looks good enough for a series that has never really sold as massively as their other franchises. I hope it's not full price, cause I'd love to finally play it but I don't see myself paying £50+ for it, based on that trailer anyway.
@MrDoug91 There is a returns policy for PSN purchased games, I got a refund on the Predator game because it was broken for me. But you obviously can only get refunds on games that are broken, they're not gonna give you money back just because you don't end up liking the game.
I'm down for the dark stuff, as long as they keep the humour.
But on a tangent. Can we just acknowledge how brilliant the start of the next generation looks set to be, between Hitman 3, Spiderman, and GT7, I personally should be very content for most of 2021.
As soon as he mentioned that the gameplay has evolved to keep up with current trends I lost all interest. I don't want a racing game where I do the same races in order to get the epic ECU, or buy battle pass' so I can acquire the latest liveries.
But they did say they will be listening to feedback about the reveal and implied they'll change if necessary, so there is still hope. Plus I haven't actually seen gameplay yet so I will still keep an eye on it.
@Broosh It's been happening longer than that. Mass Effect 3 had stuff added due to backlash, inFamous 2 changed the look of Cole prior to release. At the end of the day if it's cheap enough for them to change things, and they think they'll earn more from doing so, then why wouldn't they do it?
@Boomtown_Raider Precisely. Plus you have to imagine that even the Microsoft games that do come out will be somewhat compromised because their PC versions will have to accommodate for older GPUs, CPUs and SSDs.
Brilliant news, although I personally wouldn't have minded having to redo all the challenges again. But that's just me, perhaps.
The one thing I really want them to confirm is if this one will have a platinum trophy or not. I know it sounds silly but after 100% the "first" Hitman and 98% the sequel (I only need the co-op sniper trophies), I would really have loved a shiny platinum at the end of them.
Total backwards compatibility would be nice, but I'll be honest and say that whenever I go back to play older games, barring a few exceptions, I notice just how badly they've aged and lose interest. I'm more concerned about actual PS5 games and their quality.
Loved it! Design is great, we have several news platformers, a proper full Grain Turisimo, and I get Hitman 3 confirmed. it could only have gone better if MGS remake had been announced lol
Sounds brilliant. One thing I hope they keep from 3 & 4 is the playground levels, where you can just drive around as you please whilst doing the optional challenges.
To be fair, you did post a news article(yesterday or today? I get lost tbh) where your entire source was the word "soon" on a YouTube video description, so you don't always seem too choosey about what you write about.
Please, everyone, keep those expectations in check. Expect devs awkwardly talking, expect sports games, expect new trailers for games that are already announced, and most of all, be prepared to be disappointed.
I just hope no is actually expecting any PS5 info, cause a lot of people tend to read what's not there and then get disappointed. It's an 18 minute video on GoT, some of which we'll have already seen, so just set your expectations accordingly.
@FullbringIchigo I think WWE have more worries at the minute than worrying about the quality of their licensed games, which still sell loads by the way.
@FullbringIchigo Contractual agreement, 2K would've signed a deal to make a certain number of games in a set timeframe, so this game is a way to not breach that contract.

Mortal Kombat was awful. Why they decided to try and make a Marvel film from the MK brand I have no idea.

Re: Over 15,000 People Have Signed a Petition for Days Gone 2
15000 people? Add a few more zeroes to that and Sony would still ignore it. I bet that 15000 wouldn't back a Kickstarter campaign for it.

@playstation1995 aren't they included every year? Especially since WWE know that they haven't anyone iconic since John Cena.

Re: How Gran Turismo 7 Is Using PS5's Unique Features
GT7 is steadily becoming my most wanted game of the PS5, close to Hitman 3.
Gran Turisimo has always been a brilliant series in my opinion, and hopefully this will finally topple the king that is GT3 A-Spec.
