I love the recent Hitman trilogy, but I don't really think it's gameplay is all that well suited for a 007 game, and it's concerning to see that it is basically the same.
But my main issue is the driving - it seems to have that stupid steering mechanic where you're either going straight ahead, or your in a drift, and that is not enjoyable at all, for me at least.
I can't get into it. I really like the original, but the remake just isn't doing it for me. And I think it's mainly due to Unreal Engine 5, it's just an ugly mess whenever you move or look anything reflective.
You shouldn't put that in the headline. The game isn't even out yet and you're spoiling the new ending for your readers. I have no issues with article, but there's no way to avoid reading the headline. Poor practice.
It must be me but I'd much rather developers spent their time on designing fun new gameplay mechanics, than always trying to get grass or reflections to look sharper. I just don't care, I just want good games that I haven't already played.
@Mustoe well it wasn't meant to be an attack, so it's unfortunate you read it as such. Again, in the grandeur scale of things, I don't genuinely care enough to put that kind of emotion into anything gaming related.
And maybe I am upset that the games getting made nowadays more often than not don't interest me, but I still would rather have Kojimas new stealth game(whenever that comes out), than the remake of MGS3, despite Snake Eater being my personal favourite game I've ever played.
Horses for courses and all that.
I still maintain that the industry should've never tried to do better graphics than what the PS3 did, just have better hardware that can handle it and developers would've focused more on gameplay. Haha.
@Mustoe it's not destroyed because I think it, it's destroyed cause it's too risky to try and sell new franchises, people are spending what little free time they do have on games that were designed to never end, companies are collapsing right, left and centre, and all the young talented people are veering to other forms of technology or media where future might be a bit more secure.
@Mustoe well enough of us finished and loved the game despite it apparently being "terrible in places". I'm just personally sick of this creatively bankrupt era of gaming we're in where all we seem to get is remakes, or rehashes of a trend.
Stop wanting remakes and remasters, do we not have enough? Bloodborne is perfectly fine how it is, and is easily accessible on PS5, so why do we need anything else?
I will say that I'm not a fan of using another outlets review as a source of news, reviews are subjective and only really matter once you have a feel for how your tastes line up with the writers.
Between stuff like this, click baity titles, and fuelling stupid fanboy rage, I'm starting to become tired of Push Square(and Pure Xbox).
See you're doing what everyone has always done with E3 - you're confusing the show with what was shown. The format is great and to the point, but the games were average looking.
@Corc11 see, I think that, outside of RPGs, games just get boring and repetitive by that time. MGS3 was probably the perfect length, where as MGS4 was too short(especially true if you skip the cutscenes) and MGS4 was too long, and relied on replaying the same missions too much.
I really, really hope one of those cancelled unannounced games wasn't a Driver game. Though to be honest, seeing as young kids and teens seem to just want to play online with their mates(and that's no bad thing), and older gamers seem to want deep RPG's or the mega budget AAA games, I don't think a Driver would do well.
All that being said, I really want a new Driver game.
The other two games? I reckon Rayman was one of them.
I loved Days Gone. And I do remember a fair few reviews mentioned, in a negative way, about how Deacon was white and a biker. I think that a lot of the reviewers took the game as an opportunity to vent some anger towards certain political parties, or show they're support for diversity. Places like Polygon and Eurogamer often seem like they're embarrassed to be gaming sites, so they like to prove they're real writers and get too full of themselves.
But ignore everything outside of the actual finished game, and it's a very fun game.
People have to come to terms with advertising, it's the only way, outside of industry funding, that this show will continue to happen.
Though, personally, I couldn't care who wins what. Like all other award shows, it's just the opinion of a select minority that, for some reason, hold more weight than sales and fan adoration.
12/15 - not too shabby. I really thought Shadow the Hedgehog was older than 2005, though, I remember seeing that for sale in the outlet shop call 'Stage 2'.
I will just ask: What exactly are people expecting from a Far Cry game? They're sequels for a reason. And when they changed Assassin's Ceed too much, it became a different game and turned people like me away, who were drawn in because of the stealth and assassinations of the first few games.
Anything just reminds me of that idiotic part of Sony, where they release something, and forget about, instead of running advertising and trying to keep these things relevant.
The PS VR is only surviving because PC ports, and they never were fully behind Vita. I'm all for giving studios freedom, but they should've went to Polythony and Naughty Dog and made them create bespoke games for both systems that were ready for release day, and then followed that with every other developer they own. And why they allow Media Molicule to just make overly complex, niche games I'll never, just have them make a real game.

Re: PS5 Metroidvania MIO: Memories in Orbit Launches in a Post-Silksong World in 2026
Well that's a very ***** way of reporting on a game, at least let it come out before you write it off.

Re: Hands On: MindsEye Is a Boring Mess
This writer comes across as happy to find the game boring. Shouldn't we want all games to be fun?
Re: Here's Fighting Game Fan Maximilian Dood's Viral Reaction to PS5, PC's New Marvel Fighter
Well that was "authentic". I know Americans can get excitable but that was ridiculous.
Re: MindsEye Really Does Look Like a Long-Lost PS3 Game
I'll take the risk on it, can't be worse than Watch Dogs.

Re: Your Horizon Zero Dawn PS4 Progress Will Transition to PS5 Remaster
Why would you buy the upgrade and then not want to start from the beginning?
Re: Reaction: Why There Are So Many Unnecessary PS5 Remasters for Games That Don't Need Them
Because they're relatively cheap to produce and people buy them.
When you ask a question regarding a company, the answer is almost always money.

Re: Preview: PS5's Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater Is a Fiercely Loyal Remake
I want a 1:1 remake. I wouldn't trust them to improve on the original.
Re: PS5, PC FPS Concord's Poor Player Numbers Have Predictably Gone Viral
I mean I'm sure it didn't help when websites, like this one, where ***** on the game before even playing it. Which is quite unprofessional.
Re: Wax On, Wax Off with This Super Nintendo-Style Karate Kid Beat-'Em-Up for PS5, PS4
Are we not past calling games with 16-bit visuals "SNES style"? At this point there's probably been more of that art style post Xbox 360 than pre PS1.

I really hope Ubisoft deliver with this. We need more 10 to 15 hour single player games. Being shorter allows the gameplay and story to be tighter.
