@commentlife yeah riding social media hype once in a while to show "value" is a tactic that seems to work surprisingly well at times. Maybe not the case. But no reason currently to think otherwise.
Heh don't have time for these particular games really but I do wonder if this kinda selection does more harm than good? Like announcing some decent indie games would probably be better than this whole ps plus no upgrade deal that seems to be happening. Then again ps plus is kinda cheap and I think it is more a service that offers online services with the occasional decent game for differing demographics.
I guess this gives an idea of how many people enjoy multiplayer? I wasn't expecting a multiplayer other than the likes of Fortnite to get this kinda reaction.
I want less map icons and more interesting side missions/events. Like can Ubisoft not at least get half of the narrative quality for side quests that you get in games like Witcher 3?
I don't think he is necessarily saying that the reveals will be for equally hyped games so much as just been exclusive first-time reveals for big games. That said, I tend to assume nothing will come out of these events haha.
Not my favourite month but I think collectively over the last year it was decent. Honestly most games I REALLY want to play are usually already on my shelf waiting to be played. Mostly use PS Plus for online really.
Outriders. Enjoying the gameplay loop quite a lot. Might go back to Deathloop or start Far Cry 6. Finished Returnal platinum recently as well. Seems I'm in the mood for shooters atm lol.
Maybe this is to boost sales for Lost Judgement in Japan on playstation consoles. Honestly if it is the PS5 version and I have not bothered checking, I would replay the game again if it came to my PS Plus offering. Might have filled in the void after finishing Lost Judgement.
I mean it is already not exactly the most stellar game and now with this version, it seems...less stellar. Doubt I would have played it anyway. Great for any who want it I guess.
I am thankful for the variety of gaming experiences on offer. There is something for every mood. Whether a punishing soulslike, a competitive multiplayer, a dumb thoughtless game or a relaxing narrative game. And many more! Not tooany the variety of themes on offer!
Meh a patch that makes it easier to get remaining collectives based on some criteria like finishing the game would be awesome haha. (I hate having incomplete numbers/percentages for trophies or anything for that matter)
I am tempted to start a dark souls 1-3 run ahead of Elden Ring. My PS4 backlog is massive however so I may end up taking advantage of less busy game release schedule and finish PS4 games that play better on the PS5. On PS5 side of things, I got the plat for Lost Judgement and Tales of Arise so thought I would maintain that momentum but the random nature of the survey trophies for Returnal which I completed recently are annoying. Might grab Outriders/Immortals Fenyx Rising but not sure those games would make me satisfied upon completion in terms of "epicness" even at that discount.
Was Deathloop really that great? I thought it was a solid 8 game. I'm really not understanding how it got all these perfect scores but at the same time, I don't think there is really a standout game of the year in 2021. So this year's winner would feel more of a best of the rest situation.
Sounds awesome. I get the sense that the changes in Bloodborne and Sekiro were always within the view of eventually combining everything into a refined open world souls-like amalgamation.
I mean most of their consoles exclusives have been stellar. It's just they have to strategically deploy their big hitters at the right time to keep their big money rival guessing.
@Elodin I think it could actually be my TV that needs an upgrade maybe haha. I noticed small grid squares on character models while they are walking on both PS4 and PS5. The TV is the common factor perhaps.
@Sheppard yeah it's the weirdest thing ever. I only notice the pixels/grid on the character. Weirdly enough if I wear armour that covers as much skin as possible, I don't see it as much, other than the character face. Can't seem to find the problem on any other game.
@ThomasHL Fair enough. I do think to some extent they want a large enough userbase to kick their marketing hype machine into full gear. I'm no marketing guru but my sense is that once the hype of a game is over, its sales at high price go down even as the userbase grows.
Anyone seeing grid like pixels on Amalur? Not seeing it on any other game and I literally checked every other game out of panic lol. Not that I will get much time for this game. Mostly a stroll down memory lane for now.
Yeah I think this is a decent selection. Just run the cost of ps plus against games like Amalur, Control, Shadow of tomb raider, Plague Tale, Days Gone as well as online features and the value isnt so bad.
I think showing Little Devil Inside as well as Deaths Door made this a decent show. Honestly don't even have time for new games anyway. There's enough new games to play until next year when Elden Ring, Horizon, etc come out so not too fussed about new games this year. Unless you are finishing lots of big games a month, which is really a minority demographic.
Hmm I liked Amalur. I could give it another spin for nostalgia. I think the lore was really well done and there was one quest chain that was amazing and will live in my memories forever.
I'm not sure expecting anything major. I'll probably be gaming while the show streams. If anything interesting shows up on my secondary screen, then I'll pay attention haha.
Nope Kratos will concede too many penalties and red cards. Maybe he could be a goal keeper. I think he has a good combo of size and speed to keep the balls out.
@GREGORIAN Hard disagree. Most gamers are not patient enough to wait until 2025 even with the bells and whistles. I for one will not wait for the pc version. I might however double dip for it. I have had every playstation console and I don't consider this a slap in the face. Nintendo has plenty of games that were not originally on it. They lost a MHW exclusive anyway. Their success stems from portability. I know that's why I bought one. Also most people are not going to buy a strong GPU. Most gamers are hardware casuals and are content with a cheaper console that has the games they want. So this "just get a pc" mentality on enthusiasts sites is not representative of most of Sony's customers.
@Agramonte Yeah I think people forget most console gamers are hardware casuals that aren't interested in building pcs. My friend does all my pc building for me or I wouldn't bother lol. Besides these games will sell on hype and impatience. PC-only gamers that enjoy the game will expect it to have a very late release on pc and many won't want to wait that much longer. Us gamers are an impatient lot haha.
@Telekill I don't think having the older game on pc will be a negative to sales for playstation hardware. Most people who were willing to buy a console for the likes of the older iterations of GOW or Horizon would probably have done it by now.
I don't see Kratos playing football to be a very safe idea haha. Any foul on him will risk his wrath and what if he tries to outmuscle opponents in the air? Atreus however could be a safe opponent in football. He would be my pick to play football lol.
Yeah this is a no-brainer. Any negative sentiment around this is maybe a bit dramatic. Nobody is going to really buy a playstation to play this game as they would have mostly done it by now already. They will however get a ps5 to play the latest one. Therefore getting pc gamers hooked onto the older game will potentially increase the audience for the upcoming one. It makes financial sense.
