Update 2: Sony's now released an official video of its new Champions League idents, which includes a bunch of previously unseen clips featuring Nathan Drake among others. You can watch it above.

Update 1: Whoops! Looks like we doubled up on this story – that’s what this author gets for taking a day off. Anyway, you can watch a bunch of other commercials, featuring Horizon Forbidden West's Aloy and others through here.

Original Story: For those of you who don’t know, the Champions League is the biggest club competition in Europe, where the best teams across the continent battle it out for one of the biggest prizes in football. For decades PlayStation has been one of the competition’s principle partners, and in addition to advertising hoardings around the pitch, this also grants it short little adverts in between commercial breaks.

UEFA, the tournament’s organiser, mandates that these spots must have a football theme – and this God of War Ragnarok clip that’s running in Russia is brilliant. It shows a team lining up in the tunnel before heading out onto the pitch. At the front of the line is Atreus, and then captain Kratos emerges from the shadows to lead his side out onto the field. What position do you reckon the Ghost of Sparta would play? He’d be a pretty formidable centre half, wouldn’t he?
