I wonder if this means the ps5 upgrade for W3 will also come towards end of year and how that in turns affects cyberpunk upgrade. Oh well, can only wait and see haha.
Well well well... I hope it does not fall in the same month as any of my favourite upcoming games. Because I will have a hard time deciding what to play after work... Heh.
This was always going to happen in my opinion. Most people probably aren't even aware of the cyberpunk issues as they are not going to read websites like Pushsquare, etc. While I had no problems with the game on either PS4 (just to test) or ps5/PC, I would not recommend buying it for ps4 given how many people seem to have problems.
I never knew visiting my cousin would lead to me making progress in this game. I was asked to use my Sekiro "skills" (I'm average) to help her kid finish the game and justify her purchase lol. I can't focus for hours on end on games but we are taking turns and actually got to biome 3. Theoretically I should be better at the game when I get home and may just be able to make quick progress by myself. I might just buy it after all lol.
I think they will announce games eventually to complement the likes of GOW, Horizon, GTA and FF16. They canned a days gone sequel which would have probably done at least decently. My feeling is they have games in the pipeline they think will do better than days gone.
@soulofman5446 I use Gamepass when I feel like exploring something new but most of the games I actually make progress in are on my ps5. My PS4 backlog is also insane so that keeps me busy. Gamepass is also great for when my cousin brings their kids since there's a lot of stuff to try out so I imagine great for parents as well. The two systems complement each other well atm.
@Reeneman Fair point but I have game pass anyway. More referring to customers in general many of whom don't even watch E3. Ps5 already has ratchet, returnal, demons souls, etc so these new games are just Xbox trying to catch up. And I think people are more interested in GOW and Horizon Vs what gamepass is getting. I do enjoy my gamepass anyway, just enjoy ps games more.
Edit: I hope I understood your comment correctly. I assumed you meant the stuff shown by Xbox at the most recent E3 but your profile pic is making me doubt myself lol.
At the end of the day game lineups is the main metric for customers. Nintendo is a bigger rival to playstation on that front. Xbox may close the gap eventually but most customers want to play games now, not a few years later.
@LegacyRXT Fine I'll summarise my wall of text. There is little difference between the cost of my game pass subscription vs my physical ps5 games. In deathloops case I will be able to get a dirt cheap physical copy on ps5 by the time it comes to gamepass. You may have also noticed I mentioned other players may have different experiences. Cheers.
Probably depends on the player but for me Game pass is great but not a runaway leader in value for my money. That may change later given their heavy investment. But right now most of the games are not exactly stellar in my opinion. So when I run the long term costs of my subscription against the games I actually play on the service, I'm not seeing an astronomical difference versus what I spend on ps5 games. Especially given how cheap half my physical purchases are. Might change if their heavy investments pays off eventually perhaps.
I suppose in case of Deathloop, if you have game pass it could be cheaper but I would also consider owning it versus long term costs of gamepass
I guess it makes sense for it to have its own State of Play as the big hitters will overshadow it. I think Sony is trying to maximise on their investment into this game which I think is fair. Hopefully it ends up a great game. I have a feeling Sony is trying to hype up games like Deathloop and Ghostwire and will then move to the big hitters.
@RubyCarbuncle actually I honestly think my last comically long post is a tad bit condescendingly written. Maybe I let that cyberpunk part get to me too much. My opinion stands but, I could have written that better. I'll keep it there as my wall of shame.
@RubyCarbuncle By that logic I'm not complaining either since I'm waiting for if it gets a save feature hence my encouragement of a save feature. They did mention they were working on something so maybe it will come of enough people demand it on sites like this. Easy to twist definitions of words to suit a narrative I guess.
Besides the comment I recall was you talking about people lying if they said their cyberpunk playthroughs had no issues. So again a case of you having issues with people having different opinions and wanting them to stop making "tiring" comments.
Hopefully myself and others will make some tiny difference even to games lacking exit saves. It takes like 20 seconds to type here. If no save feature, that's fine and I'll be happy for those who prefer no save feature.
Also I'd edit the "confusing" word but you already know what I mean. Glad for those that enjoyed the game. I'll keep to other games while frequently giving my opinions wherever I feel like it. Maybe one day I will play it, but with a save feature. Or perhaps a sequel to Returnal with a save feature. Change can be good or bad depending on perspective. To me any game with exit save is am outdated concept of that worked better with shorter games. You clearly disagree and that's fine. But when you reply to people who have a different opinion, they are going to engage in a debate/discussion with you because you are challenging their opinion on a public site. If people engage in toxic ways then that's a problem though.
@RubyCarbuncle I mentioned Cyberpunk because I remember you posting multiple times on that topic in multiple articles. This is the only article I brought this up. It is not ganging up. Might as well call half the posters on this website gankers with that logic yourself included. I think there is more butt hurt over people wanting the save feature than the other way round.
@Fenbops. The fact that you reached the third biome renders his statement irrelevant regarding challenge been the problem. Honestly I think the Devs did this by design to make this game "harder" and longer. Also why is it when someone's opinion is different they are crying and yet I bet it if it is the others opinion is not crying.
Enjoy the game game and defend it. Fine by me. Or maybe you want your opinion on a preferred change to be heard, then by all means say it. Got a problem with either, you're the butthurt one lol.
@Fenbops @Fenbops Yeah I mean might as well as have no pc games becanes mods and hacks. I keep hearing things about identity, how lack over save feature is overrated (basically git gud statements), dedication, save scumming, etc. Yet games like the soulsborne games do perfectly fine with an exit save feature.
@RubyCarbuncle Should the cyberpunk complainers have just stopped complaining here and only complained to dev? Pushsquare is perfect for personal complaints on games and they have reach as a media outlet vs a mere tweet on a Dev Twitter page. They even have polls on whether you think certain factors will affect your purchase of a game.
I know plenty of skilled hardcore gamers that haven't bought this game. You never know, maybe a Returnal sequel with save feature will sell way better? Maybe even Returnal will sell better? Opinions keep the developers informed on their games.
@riccyb0y By the time time I got my last ending for Sekiro, all bosses were easy mode. Yet if Sekiro did not have a save feature, I likely would have taken far longer to finish it. I'm also not a fan of leaving consoles on in rest mode for personal reasons I won't get into. I do get what you mean by warming up though.
I actually played a few hours on my friends machine to test it out and didn't find it that overwhelming other the lack of a save feature that given my schedule (and not liking rest mode) is not feasible if I'm to play all the other games I want to play.
Nothing wrong with giving feeeback on why we aren't buying the game. I am smart enough to know I don't have the skill to make progress with this game given the save constraints unlike most games where I can stop whenever I want. People are giving reasons for why they don't want the save feature and that's fine. It's also fine to say why we want save feature. Happy for those who enjoy it.
@Render Heh I feel like that's paying more for less fun but I guess but it's their wallet haha so if that's their idea of fun...oh well.
@Fenbops exactly dying from lack of skill is a learning curve and stimulating. Crashes and real life factors however mean this ain't for me without save option.
@Fenbops Yeah this is one of the reasons why I won't bother getting this game if no save option. That or if some real life issue forces me to stop playing. If I lose progress from lack of skill, fine. But I ain't interested in losing progress because I need to take a sudden flight for an emergency or something.
I'll also get it if it gets a save mode. Worked fine for souls series. I get the reasons why people are against save feature but if some people want to ruin premium priced games with save scumming exploits, then that's their loss. Anything can happen while gaming and I know I would hate to lose a few hours progress because of something more important than games. Plenty of great games to play that don't have this save issue so I ain't missing out on anything.
In my opinion there are currently more reasons to own a ps5 than a Xbox series. Yes Sony's PR is rather strange these days but at the end of the day, Game Pass to me is currently a poor man's selection of games compared to PlayStation's lineup. Naturally things may change but unless you are focused on previous gen via game pass and superior backwards compatibility PS5 is currently the proven next gen platform. Well, I still prefer my PC though.
The likes of Demons Souls, Returnal, Ratchet and Miles Morales is simply more attractive to me than Game Pass (which I have) unless the main factor is cost and despite the backwards compatibility and upgrade tax issues on PS5, there are still so many quality previous gen games that you won't get anywhere else. Could change for all competitors involved though.
Could they not have just marketed this as a $30 dlc with a free ps5 upgrade? I am not worried about the cost of these upgrades so much as the potential laziness this could introduce to Sony development ecosystem. We have death stranding director's cut. Now this as well. The issues people have with this is far more complex than "I don't want to pay more". Also Nintendo does not have a new shiny console so so it's fair to not to include Nintendo in this upgrade business discussion. Hopefully PlayStation continues with the excellent run of first party games but if I start seeing more of these paid upgrades than new proper ps5 games, then I'm going to get suspicious.
Agreed @Psofo PS+ does indeed feel like a second class citizen version of games. PS+ is not free so no need to think people should be grateful for "freebies". I would rather pay for just an online component only rather than get treated like a second class citizen by the likes of greedfall. I literally only use ps+ for online gaming but even I feel offended by this situation.
Agreed @Naruball. Ratchet is selling well because it is a good game. Simple as that. If anything it's ps5 exclusivity may have hindered it's sales since more PS4 players. So I appreciate the risk Sony took to make a proper ps5 game.
Any tactic designed to destroy opposition in long term is bad for gaming. Unfortunately fan boys clutch at straws to defend their fave and then also clutch at straws to attack the rival. Whereas if fans were to actually be united in a vision of healthy competitive gaming, might keep the gaming industry healthy.
Look I like the gameplay. But the dialogue at a certain fight literally made me cringe. Why is the writing in some games less creative than what one could find in a child's essay homework?
I'm rather curious on replayability here. As in is it worth it to play it 2-3 times? Also does 100% refer to getting all trophies? I like games that are short but reward playing again for trophies, cosmetics, etc.
This is awesome. Yeah I like the Yakuza/Judgement games because I keep revisiting familiar territory. But if every game copied environments it would get annoying.
This Sony vs Microsoft fanboying is not helpful to the future of gaming (customer perspective). Anything that leads to one becoming far more dominant will lead to a rather...different gaming landscape... I think we know by now the effect of corporate dominance on customer choice. But if anyone wants to enjoy little fanboy victories, by all means do so lol.
I would rather From focus on new mysterious worlds where the lore is new. But can see why people would like them to do Castlevania. As for MGS, whoever does that would prob need people with the same flair for weird and wacky atmospheres or else it won't feel like MGS to me lol. Team Cherry for Castlevania and Platinum Games (crazy factor) for MGS maybe.

Cyberpunk with regular dose of Yakuza Like A Dragon. After 30 hours of Night City, I got my first crash lol. Hopefully this remains a rare event. Also mopping up Demons Souls trophies in New Game +++.
Just curious on how this performs for those of us lucky enough to be on ps5. I'm just a few hours in and aside from two irrelevant shop NPCs clipping each other, I have not not had any issues. Cop AI is terrible. But more curious about the side quests. Do they get good? Would love for a side quest review of some sort lol.
