Fail. The obvious thing is to compare it to other PlayStations rather than a random TV and cabinet.

if the plates are interchangeable, they'll probably be sold as a set as the top/bottom are different for both editions (the bottom/side attaches to the base)

definitely waiting for either black edition or black panels before I buy in.

Ultimately it's for you to decide if you're ok paying X amount. Irrelevant if it's full price day one, discount on sale, or wait for complete edition. As per Sony - "It's For The Players" (to decide).

Bought 10 discs. All have been superceded by newer digital editions. Everything else is digital and will be 100% on PS5. My future is digital and I have a PS4 & blueray for movies.

Not certain but all signs lead the way. Allowing people their entire PS+ back catalog is a huge money loss from repurchase. The collection gives people the best of but other niche titles you'll need to use your PS4 or rebuy me thinks. Not confirmed by any means. We'll see.

@banbrodrive Fair enough. My experience was also based off of PC1 which I played a fair bit. Interesting to me is all the negative reviews are from people expecting/wanting a sim. Hard to find reviews from people where PC3 is either their first/only racing game or they generally play more arcadey racers.

Totally should be a 1993 Nissan Skyline GT in seafoam green. No reason that the cover shouldn't be as dated as the game.

Hard pass. I honestly have not liked any of SMS efforts even though I've owned all except the first Shift and F&FC. I think here is where I disembark as I'm just tired of being disappointed. PC2 I installed, literally drove less than one full race and deleted. Absolute garbage.

Have SF4 Ultra and 0% interest in PUBG so nothing for me. Fall Guys is infuriating and soon to be deleted I think.

I doubt I'll finish this on easy. Harder difficulties are wasted on me as are multiple endings. Once through (or less) and move on. Should be on the soundtrack.

@jdv95 Haha a cross gen release of a last gen game. Awesome. Not. IMO while NFS-HP may have been one of the best on the PS3 it still doesn't match the greatness of the PS2 era with Hot Pursuit, both Underground, Most Wanted and even Carbon. IMO they need to ditch the stupid storylines and just give us racing. And customization.

the OG ZCTU1 black/white/red/blue (silver/gold??) also had black backs unlike the ZCTU2 which has it color matched

@SamSantana 80M GT spread over how many PlayStation's sold? 10M Forza over how many Xbox's sold? Proportionally probably not too dissimilar given player base #s.

@AJDarkstar I dont think Kaz does much coding now. He just has a very specific look in mind. Also not all delays are his. No one foresaw the difficulties with coding for the Cell processor on PS3 among others.

@AJDarkstar PD does everything inhouse and works with a relatively small team to ensure quality is maintained. Other devs like turn10, Playground, Slightly Mad farm out things like car models.

We've been hearing of solid 60fps since the PS2 days and now they can barely hit a solid 30fps on the PS4, what makes me think they'll nail 120 on the PS5? Maybe by the PS8 [aka PS Cloud] but I doubt it.

@Porco my PSN account does not show games bought on disc as 'purchased' and if uninstalled disappear entirely.

Not an issue foe me as I'm all-digital. However IMO the text/logo should be blue on white background with a blue case. A Black case is yuck and a clear/white case is ho-hum.

Seems to me the crappier the theme, the higher the price. This theme is really bucking the trend.

Creating a game is a work of many talented individuals over multiple years. Themes (even the good ones) are a middle school project done for extra credit over a weekend and never worth what Sony charges.

This is obviously a simulation of an arcade racer. Sorta like Cinderella's stepsisters going to the ball. Trash in a dress is still trash. Personally I did not like either PC or PC2, so unless it gets stellar reviews, I'll pass

Beenox did CTR. Vicarious Visions did the trilogy, then moved on to Tony Hawk. Toys for Bob did the Spyro trilogy and now did the new Crash 4. Who the heck is doing the new Spyro? There's a new Spyro right?

Given they marketed Dirt 4 for more casual gamers and Dirt Rally as more hardcore sim-ish, I'd assume the WRC licence will be added to the "rally" series and since I prefer 4 (real enough for me), I doubt I'd pick it up. But yay for those who want it. Personally never saw much diff between the two besides the difficulty.

given that The Last Guardian is out, Shadow of the Colossus was redone... I'd be up for a reimagined ICO. Disappointment incoming.

no issues for me; downloads seem as fast as they ever were and I'm rarely disconnected if ever. so those "stability" updates seem to be working as intended
